I visited this place for the first time, I even called ahead of time to see if they have any openings and they said they did. We waited about 90 minutes on a Saturday afternoon. I did not think the wait was unreasonable. Our tattoos were done in about 45 minutes each. We were very pleased with the work. I went in today for my appointment with Wayne and couldn't be happier with the service and tattoo itself! The studio is taking above and beyond precautions, i felt very safe. This was my second tattoo in a more painful are than my last and with more shading. As a young woman, its not uncommon for me to feel pretty uncomfortable in a tattoo studio- but Wayne was so nice and approachable I felt totally comfortable and content. He took his time making the stencil, and honestly he read my mind. Right as I was about to ask to make a small adjustment- he took the words right out of my mouth. My hairstylist recommended this place when I asked if she knew where I could get my pierced ears reopened. I want this morning, and I'm impressed. The young woman at the front desk was friendly and efficient, and made sure everyone was filling out paperwork properly. The walls were covered with Flash art, many classic & historical images. Megan is the professional body piercer. She came out to get me; I was impressed by her warm and upbeat attitude. Her piercing room was clean, she explained what tool she was using and why, and she went to work. I'd forgotten to bring studs with me, and theirs were either too big or too small; I was getting my ears redone, not my nose, tongue, or navel. When we were done, she said there should be no problem inserting studs when I got home. She also said if I did have trouble I should come back and she'll get it done. Then she said no need for me to pay because it took no time at all. Declined a tip! And when I went back needing help with one ear, she still said no need to pay. I can't stress enough how fantastic Megan is. Body piercing and tattooing require a high standard of safety and sanitary measures. From what I saw, Lucky 7 Tattoo meets and exceeds expectations. Megan in particular was excellent. She could easily be in health care. Her standards of customer service also exceeded expectations and I highly recommend her. If I could give this place 10 stars I would. I went in today being a little emotional for sentimental reasons, and realized they weren't open for another hour. The owner, Wayne, came up to the door and asked if he could help me and I explained myself and he quickly asked what I was looking to get done and when. The short of it, he fit me in within 2 hours, and to be quite honest I knew I was in good hands from the start because of all the good things I heard about him and he's been tattooing for 25 years! I did have a bad experience with line work before, and it being uneven, and different thicknesses through the writing, but within 45 mins, Wayne had me in and out! I literally could not be more happy than I am with this tattoo, and from here on out for my next 4 I know for sure he'll be the only one doing them! I have been tattooed at a handful of places over the last 17 years, but I can't think of one artist or shop that I returned to. Not that any of those places left a bad taste in my mouth per se, it was more that none of them ever wowed me. The shop was very clean and organized, and we were seen immediately as a walk-in, which was really nice. We showed our designs, and Dave was very honest about his recommendations on the designs and placement to make sure the quality of the tattoo would hold up over time. I ended up getting a small flower tattoo on my wrist. He was very reassuring that it wouldn't be as bad as I thought, and he was right. I barely even felt the tattoo and it was exactly what I wanted. We were in and out within an hour. Dave is a very experienced tattoo artist and made me feel super comfortable about the whole process and aftercare instructions. I was introduced to Megan and she walked me through my jewlery choices. She was so friendly and enthusiatic. The piercings were quick and easy. I was then introduced to Wayne who was taking walk-ins. Got my very first tattoos done here years ago and had no idea how bad of a job I was getting until I saw another artist for the first time. He explained that they went so deep on my line work that they left physical scarring and you can feel every line on my tattoos from here, meanwhile I've never been able to feel another line from anyone else's tattoo since I learned this. I wish I could go back and undo their work because even if I ever wanted these removed there would be extensive permanent scarring beyond the laser removal scarring. Not worth the cheap tattoos. Since the owner left a passive aggressive response I'll clarify this: the tattoo was July 11, 2018. I even posted on Instagram and you guys responded to it. I got a second tattoo done there either in the winter of 2018 or the early part of 2019 on my right arm as well, same artist, same scarring from his line work. I have an extremely high pain tolerance and threshold so I didn't think anything of it at the time, but there's really really thick scarring on every line he did on both the back and arm tattoo(but both were perfectly clean and never got infected thankfully). I got my first ever tattoo here a few months ago, so I'm writing this review now that it's fully healed and the ink has settled in well. The staff here is incredibly kind and professional. I can't remember the name of the girl at the desk when I went, but she was outstanding. She took her time sizing and resizing the picture I wanted tattooed, and was extremely meticulous about it. The tattoo artist's name was Chris, and he was amazing as well. As soon as I told him it was my first tattoo, he was supportive and reassuring, and he kind of built his way up to it by doing a very small line first so I could get used to the feeling. He even took his time to show me the instruments and tell me about the actual tattooing process, and was SO specific and clear about the aftercare process. The work itself was done extremely well, and Chris let me take my time making sure I absolutely loved it before sending me on my way (with the promise of free touch ups in a couple months, too)! It's currently fully healed and looks just as awesome as the day I got it, if not even better. Definitely, definitely head in here if you get the chance -- and if you're a first timer like I was, this is the place to be! read more

Kameko is the most beautiful person I have been lucky enough to meet! I came in on a Saturday during walk-in hours asking about a butter cookie (sentimental piece for my grandma that has passed) & she suggested that we make an appointment to truly grasp the idea of what I want. (FIRST HUGE green flag; I wish my first tattoo artist did this with me! ) She then took her time in coming up with a beautiful piece, literally GORGEOUS. To her eye; the stencil was literally a millimeter off & she fixed it. (literally the 3rd green flag) then she got to tattooing & it was literally the most gentle, careful tattoo I have ever felt. The shading is an ever so slightly graze; her machine is so quiet which makes getting a tattoo with her so relaxing. I literally cannot recommend her enough & truly wish I started with her as my first tattoo artist. 100000/10. She is so caring, understanding, nice & I cannot say I am thankful enough for her!! While the piercer here was perfectly friendly and nice, unfortunately she pierced my nose completely on the wrong angle which led to an irritated piercing bump and me having to remove the piercing in less than two months. I got my piercing looked at by a reputable piercer in the area who confirmed my nose ring was pierced so horizontally and on such a wrong angle that I had to remove it to prevent future scarring. They also had only a couple options for nose rings, neither of which I was happy with. Another piercer in the area has close to hundreds of jewelry options, so save yourself the trouble of coming here. read more

She had great recommendations and we both loved the way it turned out. I was able to watch and I liked the fact that she explained everything to us - being his first he had no idea what to expect!
