My best friend wanted to get his eyebrow re-pierced and he found atmosphere tattoo online. We went in on Wednesday afternoon and the piercer hadn't gotten there yet. So we came back about an hour or so later and ended up having to still wait a little bit but, they have a large, comfortable, and very clean waiting area! They also have water bottles available to customers, which I think is smart at any tattoo shop. Everyone was super nice. They run the facility very professionally. By the time the piercer got there, he had a few people waiting other than us but was great about taking his time with my friend. Chris was very nice, professional and extremely clean. He made sure to ask my friend what exactly he wanted and it was quick and painless and affordable! I am loyal to my tattoo artist but if I ever needed somewhere new to check out I would definitely go back. I plan on returning to that piercer to get my nose done! So if you're looking for a nearby trustworthy tattoo shop, definitely check them out. I'll share a few pictures of the waiting area. Their photos showed a clean, airy environment, so I decided to give it a try. As a walk-in, I was in a room within 10 minutes. The piercer was friendly and ensured I was comfortable. He took the time to check my inspiration photo and made sure the placement suited a hoop, showing professionalism even as an apprentice. I returned about a year later in June 2023 for a conch piercing. This time, Bug took care of me with the same care and customer service as before. My latest visit was for the Friday the 13th flash event. Despite the crowd, I was through the line in 40 minutes and working with Abbey Scheidler shortly after. Abbey was personable and attentive, just like the rest of the team. Each of my three walk-in visits provided a personal experience where the artists worked with me to ensure satisfaction. In response to owners comment: I am not sure what my reviews for other businesses have to do with you and your review on your business. How is it relevant? When first getting work done, hard to tell what the completed product is until it heals, right? I waited for it to heal, then called to get a touch up and mentioned I was unhappy with the line work. Upon the completed touch up, I failed to see the line was longer than expected and I was exhausted and by the time I got home, cleaned it, and then noticed the error, which is why I emailed literally that evening. I also had mentioned that I am moving out of state, so unfortunately not much you can do now to rectify the situation and the lack of response or call didn't really seem y'all cared. As far as talking about customers I witnessed y'all talking about them AFTER they left in a negative way. Doesn't seem the most professional way of conducting business but what do I know with my arsenal of bad experiences and bad reviews that I choose to speak up about. read more

What a great tattoo and piercing shop! I found Mae via Instagram and I fell in love with her work, so I decided to book with her. I first called Atmosphere to book an appointment but was advised to contact Mae directly via email or Instagram. I emailed her but a few days went by so I just decided to come in and book. Mae was incredibly busy with appointments but talked to me briefly about my tattoo and we scheduled an appointment. I felt like her whole attention was on me despite her working with other people at the same time! When I came back for my appointment 2 weeks later, the actual process was laid back. My 2 friends came in with me and got to come to the back with me to get tattooed. The space was very open and circular, with each artist's stations against the walls (in a circle shape). If privacy is an issue for you, this might not be the best set up for you. Mae tattooed me so swiftly and took her time even though it was a small tattoo behind my ear. I paid $100 including tip - so worth it! My tattoo turned out wonderfully and I'd easily come back for more tattoos and piercings. read more

The manager got an attitude over me asking how long the wait would be and started arguing with me telling me she would refuse service because I asked if that's how she spoke to customers. She was a larger African American girl and this is not the first time I come into the Schaumburg location to have a terrible experience by her directly. Terrible customer service, terrible attitude on her end. Would not recommend to come here unless you want to be disrespected and spoken to a certain way. Really need to work on customer service and not arguing with clients. Poor management. read more

All of my piercing experiences were great. Kris is amazing at his job. I got my nose and navel done by him and experienced little to no pain and I was comfortable the entire time. However, I got a quote of almost $300 for a tattoo that was simple line art. The artist I reached out to through Atmosphere estimated my tattoo would take 2 hours. I don't know what they were thinking about that one, but I didn't want to get scammed so I took my business elsewhere. The shop I went to took less than 10 minutes on the tattoo, and only charged me the shop minimum of $100 and I left a good tip because even they recognized the absurdity of the quote I got. read more

Came with my daughter yesterday to have her younger daughter (9 years old) to have her ear lobes pierced for the first time. My little granddaughter was very excited and nervous, although she really wanted this done. Kris was very kind, gentle, and professional with her. I came in for a piercing pretty late at night. When i arrived i was informed i needed my id that i had left at home. It wasn't a problem to go get it and come back so thats what we did. Once we got back Kris got us started right away with the process of getting our information. It took maybe 10 minutes or less for me to get back there and get my piercing. I got my first piercings here. The piercer has over 20 years of experience and put me at ease. I had to go back because one of my earrings fell out several weeks later and it was too soon, not healed yet, and I couldn't get it back in myself. They took care of the replacement for free. It is important to know that if you go late, you will probably have to wait a couple hours, so my advice is to try to go at noon when they open. read more

My sister brought my daughter to get double piercings and an industrial, I went along for the ride. The check in area was clean with no clutter and we were welcomed warmly. There was an iPad to do registration on and she had Cody for her piercer. Cody came out after a couple minutes and explained the industrial to us.
