Rob and Lauren, along with the bartenders, wait staff, and the entire crew were professional and dedicated throughout the entire event! From planning to the day of everyone involved showed genuine care and concern for our party going exactly how we wanted. The food was served hot, delicious, and we received many compliments on it from our guests! We had an open bar for this event which everyone really enjoyed. We hired a Dj for this event and everyone had a great time out on the dance floor. Asking the staff to set up the tables how we wanted along with decor was no problem at all. The venue is just beautiful!! The main entrance is elegant and gives a WOW feeling to your guests as they arrive. The catering hall/party room has a fire place, bar area, tables set up with modern fancy chairs, and then leads to the indoor patio filled with windows for a beautiful view. It was nice having access to the bridal suite to get ready and store some items in during the party as well. They even had a wood photo back drop ready for us! We brought along some of our own decorations to make it unique to us, like a banner, florals, and seashells to fit our theme. You have so much room for creativity and personalization at this venue! For a party in warm weather the outside is just as pretty. There is a gazebo, perfect for photo opportunities. The grass is well kept and gives a stunning view for enjoying cocktail hour outside. This venue is perfect for a wedding, sweet 16, retirement party, christening, bar-mitzvah, or any event you can think of. Very affordable as well. I don't think you can beat this price with any other venue that is as wonderful as this one. Just give them a call and Rob will certainly help you plan your event so it meets all of your expectations!

The food was excellent and the overall service was beyond our expectations, as were the decorations. Our guests were very impressed and many commented that the wedding was "The best they had been to in a very long time". The team at this location were very attentive to all our needs and made our guests feel very comfortable. Highly recommend the Essex Club if you have catering needs for a wedding or any other event.

I attended a bridal shower here in June and it was one of the best if not the best bridal shower I have ever been to, and I have been to many. Everything about this venue was perfect. The parking lot is a bit of a walk to the building, that's the only negative thing I have to say. The place is absolutely beautiful. Wooden structures inside overlooking the boardwalk with large windows, I mean I can't say enough about how beautiful a setting it was. The food for the shower was fantastic. Omelette station, standard brunch fare, all delicious. Tomato, mozzarella and basil, cheese and meat boards, delicious vegetables and fruit, I was wow-ed. The staff was phenomenal, coffee was literally insane. I couldn't believe how good the coffee was so I went up to a worker and asked what they use. He came back and said, "Folgers." I kid you not. I was so embarrassed but also went to Stop and Shop after I left the shower and bought a big thing of Folgers coffee because it's SO DARN GOOD. It was somewhat of a windy day so we stayed inside most of the time except for photos where we went outside onto the boardwalk and had a beautiful view of the beach. I attribute so much of this fantastic shower to the people who put it together as they brought a donut wall and had a make your own flower bouquet station and so on and so forth but the venue itself and the staff and the clean huge bathrooms were a 10/10. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to have an event.

With all the foot traffic in and out it was quite steamy inside and there were a bunch of beach flies buzzing about as well. The food we had was good. The line was so long to get to the buffet though and once we were up there several trays were running low so we didn't really eat a whole lot; more like sampled. They were very short staffed. Our water glasses were never once refilled and it took a real long time before the dinner plates were cleared. If considering a wedding at this venue it would need to be a smaller sized crowd with wait staff proportionate to the number of guests because ours was not. There's also very little room for a dance floor. The pathway from the parking lot to the venue is not lit either so it was very difficult to see at the end of the night heading back to our cars and it's a decent walk in the dark. Potential is there!

I thought everyone lived in these mansions with manicured gardens. Now add rock music and a laser show? Yes, sharks with freakin' laser beams shows! I remember coming here on a date with my girlfriend (now wife) in the 90s and seeing a Pink Floyd laser show. I was a little perturbed because they only played New Pink Floyd. Brah, I wanna rock out to MONEY! My wife, bless her heart, bought us two tickets to see the Van Halen laser show. All these years later, we're back. And trust me, I'm still impressed with the beauty of the property. We walk down the hill to the actual planetarium. There's a couple of stoners on line, if they keep quiet during the performance then no one is gonna have problems. The theater is shaped like a circle, there's no bad seats. The doors close and for an hour, I had Van Halen music crankin'! The actual show, the lasers seem a little dated. I went to The Sphere in Vegas a few months ago, this is old technology. But, it's on Long Island and people still enjoyed the shows. 3.5 Yelp stars

The entirety of the place has so many things to offer for all ages. I would recommend to visit during summer time where everything will look gorgeous. The rich history behind this house and grounds is so captivating. We took the opportunity to tour the mansion. How often can you visit now a museum that allowing you to see the entire building and the grounds for a great price. The architecture of the house and its grounds is unbelievable. It brings back a great memory of a trip in Spain. The harbour view is beautiful. Best spot of the place. There was a plus when we had the visit today, the annual car show for fall season. You need the entire day to fully enjoy this day. We missed to check on their planetarium as it is only open during night time of Fridays and Saturdays. There is good reason to return.

This spot was perfect for our 55 person wedding with views and all. It was picturesque, simple and gave us everything we needed since we had a very DIY wedding. I first worked with Jackie and then Elise took over mid year. Elise was an amazing catering manager. She returned every call, text and email and was so easy to work with and accommodating. I visited several times throughout the year to see the space and she was so helpful every time I came to visit. I even wanted some extra time on top of the 4 hours we booked and Elise was able to take care of everything. I started out working with someone and gained a friend. She was so kind and assured me everything would come out perfectly. It did! Few things to know before you book: -You will have to book with Britannia Yachting Center to book the space separately since they are their own entity. After that, Elise from Harbor View will take care of everything, even communication with the folks who run the space. It felt like a little wonky of an arrangement to book and speak to two people separately, but Elise helped make everything run smoothly. -If you want the outside deck, ask! Just be prepared to pay a small extra fee. In my opinion, totally worth it! -It's bare bones! Be prepared to decorate it up as much as you want, or as little, it is a blank canvas! -Harborview has their own linens and blue chairs, but I do recommend you rent your own that better fit the circular tables, especially for nicer events like showers or bigger parties. I recommend you rent your own chairs as well. -If you want cloth napkins, make sure you ask for them, or rent them yourselves! We just went for their regular paper/cocktail napkins and it worked out just lovely for us since everything was buffet style anyway. -Ask for their preferred vendors. We found our DJ, chair and linen rental, tent rental. Everyone was pretty easy to work with for the most part. There is a very relaxed vibe, but everyone gets their stuff done since they're already familiar with the venue. No one disappointed on the big day and we were able to trust that all our vendors could get their stuff done. Ashely and Mike were great, helpful, nice and fun to work with as well bartending and keeping the place in order all night. Our guests were delighted and pleased with the service. The food was AMAZING! I recommend the mussels, shrimp cocktail, chicken marsala, beef tenderloin and penne a la vodka. All the pastas and seafood here are so good. It was so hard to pick from the menu they showed us because everything looked so good. There were plenty of options as well for our dairy free/vegetarian/vegan guests as well. Our guests continue to rave about how great the food was. For drinks champagne, wine, beer, sangria and soda is all you need for a party here! They also have a liquor package if you like :) The prices for renting the space and for the catering were the best I've seen in New York. My new husband and I didn't want to go in debt for our wedding, and Harbor View helped make that happen! You can still stay budget and have an amazing wedding. We can't wait to come back and celebrate again! We love this space and the restaurant next door, the Whale's Tale. We'll continue to visit as much as we can!

It has so much potential but it's not amazing, and not amazing for the cost unfortunately. We started with go karts which are great for $8 per ride. Unfortunately, the first time, our kart was broken and was super slow. My 5 year old dealt with it but it wasn't great. We also paid $24 for the open play on the 4 things they have there, 1 play area which is great and 3 bounce houses which are all great but not really worth $24. Lastly, the front arcade is not bad at all but maybe 50% of the machines were broken. They are also all at least $1.50 per play and just not worth that much. All of the claw games are really hard to win and most are $2 per play. It's hard to spend less than $30 in the arcade. I spent a total of $60 here for maybe 1.5 hours which is ok but I am not sure if I could come back here all that often, especially considering that it needs some tlc.

When you first enter, there is a two lane bowling alley for the kids to the left of the desk. To the right is a nice sized arcade for older kids. It's almost like a really smaller size version of a Dave and busters. To get to the 'soft play' area you have to go right through the arcade area. You go through a hallway where you see party rooms for go karts. The go kart area is small, so it's good for kids maybe ages 4-10. You are able to go with a few kids but you have to buy tickets to do so. If I remember correctly it may be $7 a ticket. There's one room where you can watch your kids that are crawling to about 10-11 maybe a bit older. It's great if you have multiple kids that are different ages. You don't have to go far
