Came to this location with my kids on a Monday. It was poppin. Awesome atmosphere right off the bat. Great music and decor! Emma greeted us up front and she was super sweet to the kids and helped them pick out their shoes. She then introduced us to Noha, one of the managers and we were escorted to our lane. She explained how to get the bumpers going for my little one. Haylie was our server, and greeted us right away. Our drinks came quick and the kids food came out right away. I used to work in the service industry, so I was super impressed with our experience here. Everyone was on top of hospitality! We had a great time, great food and drinks, and the kids even won some toys in the arcade. We were there for a few hours and we will definitely be back! read more

The managers Hannah and Mania were so friendly and attentive to our group. Place was wayyy to overpriced. We had a group of 5 and got 1 drink and bowled 2 games - each of us paid 50 dollars for all that. On the bright side of things tons of lanes open on a Saturday night. I had the best experience at Lucky Strike in Ladera for my son's 8th Birthday Party in February 2025! I meant to write a review, but time got away. The event planner, Melody Chavez, handled every detail with me via phone and email. It was a large event: 26 kids and 21 adults. We reserved the Lounge Area for the adults, got them dinner and treats, and the 2.5-hour Legend Party package for the kids. I added extras like the Ice Cream Sundae Buffet and more arcade tokens. What a great decision! Melody was incredible with the planning and all the coordination. She understood this was a big deal for us because it was a tough year for my son, and I wanted him to have the best 8th birthday in the world! When I arrived, I was even more impressed. The venue is new and extremely clean, and all the staff were incredible. I can't say enough, from the wait staff to the kitchen head chef! The staff was attentive, but not in my face. They were beyond gracious and helpful-- especially when I was on my own with such a large party. The head chef came to me multiple times to make sure everyone was pleased with their meals. Everyone showed genuine kindness, which made all the difference! That evening, I was fortunate to have Jeff Varney, the Regional Vice President, at the location. Jeff is a consummate professional! He and his management staff were reliable and did everything to assist the rest of the staff during the event. At the end of the party, he and another manager helped me load up my car and make sure the kids and I were settled in. When I tried to tip them, they wouldn't accept it. Jeff told me he wouldn't take a gratuity because he's doing his job. I disagreed because he and all the staff really went the extra mile and gave my son, daughter, and me a wonderful, memorable birthday experience. But I lost that battle, and instead, all I can do is write this review! It can be difficult to have good customer service nowadays, but our experience at Lucky Strike in Ladera Ranch was beyond that! The employees were happy in their roles. The staff enjoyed seeing everything come together and having the large event be a success. The energy of their pride and enjoyment spilled over to us. They took pride in their establishment and their customer service. Everyone had an absolute blast! But, most importantly, as we drove away, my son smiled from ear to ear, thanked me, and said he and all his classmates had the best birthday ever!! Very fun and good food cool place to go with family for fun night and fun for the kids

My family and I decided to check this place out. We were super impressed. We showed up, with no reservation on a Saturday night, assuming we probably wouldn't even be able to get to bowl. I was blown away with how big, bright and fun the place was. The music was gone, and the whole vibe was great... we were able to get a table and our kids dashed off to the arcade. The food and drinks were fantastic. Nothing too extravagant, but everything was made really well. Our server was super kind and she made the whole experience lovely. I came here with my son close to opening time on a Friday. We were able to get a lane and front desk staff was very helpful and nice. At our lane our waitress(wish I got her name) was so lovely and great! Had an issue with setting up the game and they immediately helped us out and got us going. My girlfriend and I came here on a Saturday AFTERNOON to bowl and were told there were only "3 people in front of us". We waited and waited for over an hour and a half and still nothing! Right at check in, Emma greeted us with a smile and Noha brought such a warm, welcoming energy that we instantly felt like regulars. The bowling lanes are clean and well maintained, which made for a smooth game, but what really surprised me was the quality of food. Alongside elevated classics like burgers and nachos, the firecracker shrimp bao buns were unexpectedly fresh and flavorful. Haylie, our server, was attentive even during the lunch rush. If you're interested in actually bowling, don't come here. The lanes are essentially laminate tiles. Not full boards. They are uneven, unoiled, not level. Also, the pins are on strings, so you can forget about picking up a spare on pretty much any splits. My husband is an avid bowler, has bowled 300, and in 3 games at this Lucky Strike, he only got 2 strikes. I have never known him to bowl this poorly. Just goes to show how absolutely horrible the lanes are here. They cut the wrong corners when they developed this place. Drinks are way too expensive for what they are and food is greasy and doesn't come out quickly. There is no security managing any off the rampaging children at birthday parties. And the fact that they allow young kid parties in the "front" lanes absolutely blows my mind. Keep the kids in the back like every other alley does. It's best practice for a reason. Staff is friendly, unless they are busy. Then they can't be bothered. We didn't even receive plates with our food, and had to take extras leftover from a party that had just finished next to us. Do not waste your money here. If you want an arcade experience, just go to RoundOne at the mall. At least they have cost effective drinks and $1 ice cream. read more

We were a party of 8 adults, had a reservation for about 2 weeks. We were very excited to try a bowling alley near home. The per thats made the reservation told us it included unlimited food and soda. We were highly recommended by managers to purchase an unli drink bracelt, we purchased 5. A member in our party opted to purchase a tower of beer. Our food did not arrive until 30 minutes into our bowling time and only 3 out of 5 brace holders ordered drinks. I had to go to bar area to order first drink. There was a question between bartenders if that was allowed. They di, and were very nice and attentive. we asked a manager if we could border a drink through him, he said no... ok.. another 20 minutes wait for server. We only had a 2 bowlling "event'" .. as they call it. we ordered 3 drinks in 2 Hours, that included flagging her down, as we bowl... we left at least 4 drinks more that half full...gross. The last 20 minutes she did come by! Told us last call! When i asked the manager about the rules of the wristband .. he was all over the place... first, the server did not come because they did not want to over serve... Then, i had a choice to go to the bat and order at any time... but server had said that was not an option. When i mentioned there were several managers around but NO servic, he was puzzled! But yes, that was our experience! Sooo many employees, manager up the A**... but no service! horrible drinks! $700 later, i was offered an invitation to come bowl again... no thank you.. not even a real bowling lane! So excited to have Lucky Strike finally open in Ladera Ranch. It's going to add a lot of value and revenue to Ladera Ranch and will act as a premier place to gather with friends and family. I'm looking forward to the leagues starting in spring. Lucky Strike - LR is beautiful and very big inside, with 42 lanes, big screens over each lane, very large arcade area, beautiful full-service bar, and separate eating areas if you prefer to sit away from the bowling area or pop in for drinks and a simple meal. Menu selection is above average for a bowling alley and found the food to be good too. I got the chicken tenders, snd it was more than enough. It's definitely a high-end experience and brand new, so expect to pay more than your no-frills bowling alley. I suspect it will become very popular for birthdays and company functions. read more

Oh man what to say, from every employee having to "ask the manager" for any simple question, to posting deals and events on their Ladera location specific website and then claiming "we don't have that deal cause we're the luxury luck strike"(btw the website says NOTHING about laderas location being special). No fine print on any of the advertised deals then when you try to redeem said deal now there's all these rules or specifications such as buy a pizza and get a pitcher then all of a sudden they tell you only these pitchers apply (all the super cheap beer) when the deal has nothing that says so. False advertising to draw people in is a crazy tactic. read more

This is the Second time we go, and this will be the LAST time we go. the customer service in general is extremely bad we have been there around 5pm both times which is not a busy time, first time the food took for ever and we had the impression that no one had a clue on what was going on. fine we thought its a one time deal, however this second time we go and its the SAME!. many staff and yet it too almost 10 min to get a server to take our order when there is clearly a lot of staff, it almost seems like every employee is only in charge of a 10 foot radius and it seems we where out of their responsibility if the place is busy I get it. but when you see over 3-4 employees walking past you and no one can take an order?? it seems the kitchen is FAR away and i got the feeling that our only server takes longer because each time they go get food by the time they come back another table is asking for something else and simply things take for ever.. here is an IDEA keep the server/waitress near the tables and have others simply focus on bringing food out to the floor, increase sales !! not to mention that once we finally got our food she did not bring napkins.. not worth going there!!!!. read more

Had a birthday here and it was great. It's a very nice bowling alley. It was worth the price paid, and everyone had a good time. Waiters could be better - maybe more attentive and cognitive. We recently visited for a date night, hoping to enjoy a fun game of bowling. However, we were taken aback when sexually explicit music videos began playing on the large projector screens throughout the alley. We gave it a bit of time, hoping it was just a one-off, but the same kind of content kept repeating for 20 minutes. After waiting and giving the situation a chance to improve, we decided to request a refund since we'd only bowled for 20 minutes out of the hour and a half we'd paid for. I appreciated that the staff member at the desk was apologetic, but the solution she provided--a business card with a phone number--turned out to be for someone else entirely, not the sales representative she had mentioned! A change of music (or at least a refund in this situation) could improve the overall guest experience. Unfortunately, I would not recommend Lucky Strike as a family friendly business. read more

DO NOT GO HERE IF LOOKING TO DRINK AND BOWL. I was absolutely harassed about my ID with employees claiming it was fake, despite it being a real ID. The employees were rude, dismissive, and disrespectful while they held my ID hostage. I was forced to call the cops to get my ID back and the bartender didn't even apologize after I did so. I will start by saying that I made my first ever yelp account to leave this review because of how bad my experience was. I have never left a review bad or good for any place that I have visited before. If I could rate this place negatively, I would. My family entered the waitlist at 6:21 P.M. on a Sunday night (12-30-2024) and were told "some parties ahead of you have waited up to three hours." and that there are "15 people ahead of you." This is important for what I will share later. My family waited for two and a half hours after being added to the waitlist before I went back to check on our place in line, expecting to probably not be able to bowl tonight and I had accepted that fact. After checking back in at 8:42 P.M. I was informed by another staff member that we had 19 parties ahead of us... I responded by asking how this possible, and asked how could this be the case after waiting for two hours. The staff member (that I did not get the name of) could not give me a straight answer. I cannot fathom how my family and I had waited for two hours and had dropped 4 places in line for a bowling lane. read more
