First time here! I had so much fun golfing, and the music was so good and upbeat. Also, I had a great time.

Fun water feature!

We took our 5- and 3-year-old grandsons to Salty Turf Golf this past weekend for their very first mini-golf experience, and it was a huge hit! We booked the first tee time at 10 a.m. on the Uppers course. Quick tip: Book your tee time online and fill out the waiver form ahead of time -- it made check-in a breeze. We grabbed our wristbands, our friendly caddy handed over the clubs, and we were off. The staff -- a group of kind, friendly young guys and girls -- impressed us right away with their helpful attitude. The course itself is fantastic: thoughtfully designed to entertain both kids and adults. Our grandsons loved it so much they were running from hole to hole with pure joy. We quickly gave up on keeping score and just let them have fun -- exactly what mini-golf with little ones should be! Helpful Tips for Families with Young Kids If you're bringing children under 14 (especially the littlest ones who are still learning the game), consider signing up and paying just for the kids while adults walk along as their "gallery." Non-players play free! We spent a little over $90 for our group of four, but it would have been only about $40 for just the two boys. We were done in about 45 minutes, which is perfect for short attention spans but 60 would have been less pressure. A tiered pricing structure would be wonderful -- something like lower rates for ages 3-8yrs, a middle tier for 9-12yrs, and full price for adults. There's a noticeable difference in how little ones experience the course versus older kids who already have the hang of it. Other Suggestions Plan to stay a while and eat on-site to lengthen the experience. The menu looks tempting with quality food from Chef Jamie (formerly of Trevor at The Tracks, Iva Lee's, and more). A bit on the pricier side, but it seems worth it. It would be great if non-alcoholic drinks could be carried to the holes too (not just alcohol). One small improvement: Tee times felt a little too close together, which created some pressure to rush. A group of two behind us were standing waiting for us to finish the hole frequently. Grouping foursomes back to back and twosomes back to back would help even the pace so everyone can relax and enjoy the beautiful course more. Prices are on the higher side, so club memberships with discounted play and food, or a "Dew Duster" early/mid-morning rate (10-12 p.m.) would be fantastic additions! Bottom line: GO! Salty Turf feels like the Disneyland version of San Clemente -- clean, engaging, super family-friendly, with a well-designed course and warm, welcoming staff. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back. Highly recommend it for families, date nights, or a fun outing with friends!

Love this new family friendly mini golf vibe in San Clemente! The decor was so cute and the staff from checking in, food and beverage was top notch. This was a perfect way to celebrate Father's Day

PIRATES AND DINOSAURS MINI-GOLF We paid for the two 9-hole courses (pirates and dinosaurs themes). You simply retrieve another ball at the counter between plays as you lose your ball down the last hole. We thought the pirate course was the better of the two, having some animated screens and was also less busy the day we went. Both courses are indoor and glow-in-the-dark. VISUALLY STUNNING, SLIGHTLY UNINTERESTING HOLES Visually, this is one of the better mini-golf courses we've done, especially because it's neon glow-in-the-dark, although the actual holes were slightly straightforward. Many of them just had concrete obstacles in the way in different formations. Still worth doing though, especially if you're mini-golf fans like us. NOT JUST MINI-GOLF The restrooms were in the back. They have two party rooms that were both busy the day we went. There are arcade machines and laser tag and food and drink available at 'Portal 19' (21+) PRICING The price for 2 mini-golf courses was $17 each. (Spring 2026) PARKING Plenty of free parking out front. A fun place to go for children and adults of all ages! Helpful?

The course itself was clean and interesting; however, the courses were very easy and not very challenging. As a result of the easy courses, my husband and I got through them really fast. I was a bit annoyed because there was another group playing, and they were running all over the place. They were stepping on the props and going out of order. The parents weren't paying attention, and I just wish there had been some intervention from staff, unless they don't have cameras in the room to see this type of behavior going on. I think the mini golf is more for little kids. I've been to other mini golf locations, and have always found them to be fun and challenging. I just feel like I didn't get my money's worth. I think the price should be lower than what it is. Overall, the place was clean, restrooms clean, and the staff were nice and helpful.

I played the front 9 and price was 115. Pace of play was amazing at this time and everyone was very nice and helpful. No hello, no good morning, nothing. We were the only two people in the pro shop. It was very weird. When asked if we could possibly tee off earlier, he gave us an explanation that made zero sense and treated us like we were stupid for even asking. Apparently 7AM means, "there's no room" to tee off before 7AM. Well, there is room as no one playing 18 holes tees off before 7AM. People playing 9 holes tee off earlier but on a different starting hole. We also have eyes and could see no one was teeing off. So, there is plenty of "room". We are talking about golf, not hotel vacancy. I have had other courses be more than accommodating with this type of request and almost encourage it because it's going to get groups out and keep the pace of play flowing. I find it very strange when businesses choose to put an asshole with zero personality or customer service skills as the representative who takes money from guests and is typically their first impression of the course. The course is fine. Overpriced but decent. The greens were very smooth. Soggy in a lot of spots. The starter asked what tees I was thinking of playing off and I told him probably orange. I decided the black tee box was in better shape on our starting hole and decided to tee it up there. The next thing I see is the starter hurrying over through a packed practice green shouting why I wasn't playing from the orange tees. What??? He then stood next to the tee box staring at me while I teed off. Leave the paying guests alone and also have some golf etiquette.
