We've been to Sky Zone plenty of times for birthday parties, but this was our first time hosting our son's soccer team here, and it was perfect. We had one of the worst possible scenarios for my daughter's bday... We apparently booked a party room in the wrong location (in New York!!). Hearing that, we had to figure out how to make a party of 15 guests work for a 8 year old, completely excited girl ready to have a blast with her friends My husband went in person and immediately asked for the manager. Jonathan heard our dilemma and offered to help us out. Unfortunately there were no party rooms available. This place is a joke. I don't know what happened, we have been coming here for years and the last couple times it has been horrific. Everyone is so unbelievably rude. You get in trouble if you walk on the trampoline to get your crying kid. You wait 40 minutes for fries, and no one else was ordering food. Asked multiple times and they just said wasn't ready yet. I brought my daughters and their friend. All brought water bottles. The water fountain stopped working and they wouldn't give us refills from the fountain. Had to buy water. It's a good place to let the kids run loose! You have to sign a waiver and wear the sky Zone approved socks, which they will sell you there. Caution they don't have small sizes for the little ones (ages 4-6) Also, if you don't like noise avoid this place. It gets very loud, which is to be expected with kids running, jumping and screaming everywhere. They also play loud music the whole time. As for the play area: there are trampolines, a zip line, foam pits, a slide (not always open) and a little kid section. They have sitting space (leather couches) for the parents. I have never seen anyone wipe those when I have been there but they do t look too bad. There's also a separate food court where they sell pizza, soda slushies and dipping dots. I haven't tried the food, but the kids seemed to like it. Lastly there is a separate section for birthday celebrations/parties. My son has had a membership since this was Defy, we were heading here this morning and he and his friend were just talking about how much better it used to be before Sky Zone purchased and took over the place. We got here at 10am, we're in the "member/VIP" line and they've gotten through maybe 6 people, it's been 48 minutes. This is NOT uncommon, this happens ALL the time. They'll have 2 people at the front desk during their busiest time (always). Meanwhile there's another guy at concession just standing there with nothing to do. The place is absolutely filthy, and unattended. Kids getting hurt all the time because rules aren't enforced and there's little oversight. From time to time they sell out and there will be a massive line (like today) and rather than making an announcement to people in line, you'll stand in line for 1 hour plus to get to the desk and be notified they won't let anymore people in for 45 min to an hour. This has happened on various occasions. I have meant to cancel this membership before due to the incredibly poor management, but plan on doing this today. Do not recommend. Much better, safer, cleaner places in OC for kids. read more

We just had our son's 8th birthday party here last weekend. The entire party experience was flawless. Booking online was a breeze and each staff member I spoke with when finalizing numbers was extremely helpful. We loved that all of the plates, cups, and utensils were included, as well as pizza and drinks. All we had to bring was our cake and some extra snacks for the kiddos. When we showed up on our day, the staff that handled the check-in process was kind and helpful. They provided a rack on rollers to store all of our guest's birthday gifts, which made it really easy to roll everything out to our car at the end of our party time. We also had a party attendant that took care of all of the set up, food serving, and clean up. This is where our day really shined! Sky Zone Mission Viejo managers, listen up: Ryan P....this dude was legendary! We could really tell how much he loves his job. He helped us load our stuff in, carried our cooler up and down the stairs, and eased the set up tremendously. That was all great, but the way he interacted with the kids was next level! He brought up balloons and played keep away. The way he served the kids pizza by dropping it on their plates was making them all laugh hysterically. His energy and enthusiasm went far beyond what we could have ever expected and we appreciated him so much! He really made everyone, including our son, feel special. Give this man a raise! This kid is likely 21 and he's already a business GOAT. In the middle of what could have been a chaotic, stressful situation--a crazy long line, tons of kids, lots of energy--Blake was an absolute KOBE. He was kind, respectful, and incredibly patient, not just with me, but with my ("MOM!?!!!? CAN WE GO YET?!?!?!?! MOM! MoooM!! MOOOM! mOm!") kids as well. And if you're a parent, you know how meaningful that is. Sometimes you need someone to be calm so you don't just rip out a patch of your own hair trying to keep it together. Didn't rush us, didnt fake smile, and handled everything with a calm, focused confidence with a weird, but not creepy, 77-yo Buddhist monk vibe. Yet still totally happy. So every person has to learn to sell. This guy didn't sell us. He communicated VALUE. As a result, I'm buying 2-yearly memberships. We have been loyal members of Sky Zone, but after today's experience, we are seriously reconsidering whether to continue our membership. Two of our groups arrived first and had been waiting, yet a male staff member allowed other customers who arrived later to enter before us. When we politely raised this concern, he responded with an annoyed expression and an unfriendly attitude. His behavior made the experience very uncomfortable for us and other waiting members. It was extremely disappointing, especially as long-time members who expected fair and respectful treatment. Look, I realize the type of place this is, the type of foot traffic and the amount of grime that kids create, however for me to have to intervene to aid in cleaning up a mess that wasn't ours is pretty unacceptable when there's 3-5 workers standing behind a counter on their phones. With their manager standing right next to them no less. When we arrived, there was blue slurpee spilled all over the floor right by one of the couches used for kids to take their shoes & socks on and off. Whatever, stuff happens right? We just went down to the tables to get changed over & ready. The only free table was covered in spilt drink and multiple yogurt lids. I took out our wipes and cleaned it off. Again, things happen, however, when multiple employees are just walking past, on their phones, and taking zero responsibility for what I'm assuming is a part of their job responsibility (spot cleaning the place as needed?), that seems problematic. Then, when we go to leave, an hour and a half later, that slurpee is still all over the floor, and has now spread under the couch and out toward the line where you check in. I look around, again, 3-5 employees just standing around on their phones, the manager right next to them doing nothing. I spot a mop and bucket next to the food stand, I grab it, and I just mop it up myself and put it back. While cleaning, multiple employees watched me do it, including the manager (white shirt, red hair) didn't offer to help, and just went right back to looking at their phones and leaning against the sock display behind the counter. This Skyzone location in Mission Viejo is super crooked and should be reported to the Better Business Bureau. I've been to this location twice, and both times they refused to allow me to use a sky zone gift card, and they forced me to buy new socks even though I had a pair of socks from another location. They are training their staff to not let you bring sucks UNLESS they were purchased at the Mission Viejo locations and same with the gift cards; they will not accept gift cards unless you bought it from Mission Viejo. Both times this happened, I asked the person at the counter to speak to their manager because I knew it was incorrect. Both times they came back from the supervisor reinforcing their policy of not accepting my Skyzone Gift Cards and Orange skyzone socks purchased from another location. Now we only go to Santa Ana because they actually accept gift cards and don't force you to buy new socks every time. The Skyzone in Mission Viejo is criminal. We are very disappointed in our visit to Sky Zone, Mission Viejo! Save your $40 and go take the kids somewhere else. The worst part was the complete lack of safety everywhere, specifically in the toddler zone. The toddler zone was overrun with pre-teens playing roughly, enough so that toddlers actually felt safer in the main play area. Of course, little ones that age need their designated space to be able to play safely and going out to the main area isn't a good idea for them, but kids three times my toddler's size were swinging on these giant hanging balls, which could have easily knocked a little one out cold if they had hit them! My toddler got stepped on twice and I and his grandma had had enough. We spoke to the only visible employee on the entire floor about our concerns and he sorta just shrugged it off. When I pushed the issue, he told us to go talk to a manager. He said "they wear all black and like to hide." K, so I found a manager, an older man who looked like he hated his job. I told him that there were big kids in the toddler area and my toddler couldn't play in there. I also mentioned to him that the restroom was in a disgusting state, to which he replied "we're busy today." I'm sorry, what? I paid nearly $80 for two kids to play here for two hours and you're too busy to keep the place clean? I'm not even talking about semi-messy: the place was dirtier than a Chuck-E-Cheese in the 90s! They finally kicked all of the big kids out of the toddler area after we complained at least five times, but no one stayed to make sure that big kids didn't go back in there, so that lasted 5 minutes. I witnessed the same manager walk by the toddler zone and stare at the pre-teens in there and SAY NOTHING! Kids were running everywhere and people were bringing food into the play areas. I even found a candy wrapper stuck to my son's foot. Due to negligent and inadequate staff, poor hygiene, and high cost, I have to give this place one star and recommend that you find somewhere else to entertain your kids. read more

We got invited here for a birthday party and it was our first time here, didn't know what to expect. No one explained anything to us unless I asked. The frustrating part is that I looked around and all the kids were wearing special socks! I was a wondering where/how they acquired these socks? Turns out, the staff is supposed to offer your kids the socks but nobody bothered to offer any to us and so now my kids socks are ruined even after I washed them. Came here the other day during the day on a week day. Haven't been to a trampoline park in years but thoughout it would be a fun weekday event. Place is run by teenagers and only kids under 8 were jumping sooooo was really weird. I know its kinda designed for kids and teenagers but everyone jumping was under 8 o thought it was weird. $32 for 90 min of jumping for everyone over 3. Place is kinda dirty too, standards on cleanliness arent the best. They do have lockers on site which is helpful. Big park with lots to do, just wouldn't come here (even on the weekdays) unless you have a kid under 8. read more

Beware! Most of the trampoline areas look safe and fun. But the area where kids use bolsters to push other kids off a balance beam is dangerous. There's a small foam pit around it, but when older, stronger bullies are involved, it is extremely unsafe. I saw one child hit their head. Another child hit their back on the hard frame around the pit. Another was thrown out of the foam pit area and onto the floor. When I approached management, they said they would "write a ticket" but advised me since no one had been injured there was probably not an issue. I did not think that was sufficient. Management, if you're reading this, don't let a serious injury happen before you will make changes to that area. read more

I went with my grandson who is 20 months old and family. It is a decent trampoline park but the was much to complain about. There were so many big kids in the 4 and under area and absolutely no employees in attendence in that area the whole time we played ithere , my grandson almost got stepped on by 10-12 years olds playing in the little kid area, i had to ask them myself to get out of this area, I would not go back for this reason alone, the only employees that were present were over in the main area where all the adults were hanging out. The bathrooms were gross, there was water all over the counters and all over the floor, I saw a kid slip on it when i was washing my hands, also no toilet paper in 3 of the stalls. For $31 per person, I would say go to an alternate venue. I see there are simular complaints from others, you would think this business would read these and make some corrections. read more

My son really enjoyed Sky Zone, and it is a fun place for kids. Unfortunately, our experience with management has been very disappointing. My family has been displaced from our home for three months due to major damage and mold remediation. During this crisis, we have been tied up with insurance companies, contractors, inspectors, and everything that comes with managing a difficult situation -- the last thing on our minds was a kids' membership. I explained this clearly to Sky Zone's management, but they only communicate through email and refuse to speak over the phone. Despite explaining our hardship, they have been unwilling to work with us, offering only a partial refund and a gift card we cannot use. Their policy is enforced very strictly, even when families are going through a genuine crisis. Families should know that memberships here are inflexible, and management shows little understanding or compassion when unexpected hardships happen. Policies are important, but so is treating people like people. Sadly, because of this experience, we will not be returning in the future or recommending Sky Zone to others.
