    Lucky Strike in Queens

I came here with fellow Yelpers Mei C and Lonnie along with our daughters on grand opening day and it was so damn crowded! We got free gift cards of 10 points each for arcade and those went by fast! I kept playing the vending machines with my daughter and luckily we won a blue rubber duck! It was very cute although these machines were very tough to play. My daughter did not really like the ambience of the bowling alley because the music was blasting our ears really loud! We had to get a break from the loud music in the bathroom with the door closed! A relief for few minutes and back out we went with my daughter throwing a tantrum. Also I don't know why the baby self changing diaper station is literally at the door of the bathroom. What inconvenience! Anyone who opens the door can just bang the door at the diaper station, which is what happened to my daughter while I was changing her diaper. It was bad and very shocking. Hopefully they can relocate the diaper station away from the door or in a better area. So back to the bowling alley, we added our names in the system and it was so hard to distinguish whose turn it was. The screen above us displayed all the names but never flashed whose turn it was so we were all confused. I accidentally went on someone's turn when it was not even my turn. They need to update and reconfigure their system to flash the players turn instead of letting us figure out whose turn it was. The good thing about this grand opening event was the free light bite appetizers that were going around. I made sure to grab a couple! They got nacho, hamburger sliders, and chicken so that was a good perk of the day!

Came for a kids birthday party. Place is decent size, it was big to me. They also mini arcade as well. Food was alright it was chicken strips and pizza. Margarita was pretty good. Overall I would return.

I rented some lanes for a birthday party. I disliked that there was a lack of transparency regarding gratuity. The contract does not state that 20% tip is included and it was sprung on me when I was about to leave for the night. I don't mind providing gratuity but as a business, you need to be upfront with customers so they will come back. The food is mediocre, I would pass on the nachos (very unflavorful). The mixed platter is decent, definitely for 5-6 people to share. I also noticed that the waiter with the thick mustache was eating out of people's plates before serving it. This is not cool and I won't be eating here again as a health precaution.

It was $46 pre tax for one adult and one child. It was alright for me though since it was my first time experiencing Gaming City. To my surprise the price was pretty worth it for all the arcade and games they have. There were games like table hockey, shooting hoops, hockey, VR simulation and interaction, racing games with a simulated motorcycle and race car. I did not expect it to have so many different types of games with DDR and a dancing grid. It just sucked that you cannot finish everything in one hour. We were given a watch to time the whole stay that we paid for. They shined red when the time was up. After the arcade play, we were given each 3 tokens for the claw machines. There were big machines that required 2 tokens and the small one only needed 1 token. The claw machines were so difficult to play. The claws were really sensitive and moved a lot. My friends and I did not even win anything. Sucks. The whole gaming city was really clean and dark. It smelled really clean and the noise level was appropriate. There were bathrooms in the middle of the whole place that were really clean. This place is a must go place for anyone who loves arcade and VR. They have it here in one location, which is right off the train station.

I noticed a spin the wheel outside this establishment. The staff said spin wheel and win a prize. Saw mom with two kids spinning the wheel. Everyone got a prize. Hello, I'll spin the wheel too. Inquired what are the prizes one can win. From a stuffed animal, bag, lollipop, token, etc... Funny thing is I walked by this place and had no idea that Plucky Station has been open for 7 months. Who is Plucky? What station? Walked in to get prize after spinning the wheel outside- It's all claw machines where you put in tokens and claw stuffed animals and other toys. Where to get tokens? As you walk down the ramp and on right hand side is a token machine exchange your dollars to tokens. What did we win as we each spin the wheel. A stuffed dog key chain and a bag- where you can put all the toys you won from playing at the claw machines. The stuffed animals were all adorable and cute. They lined up all the stuff animals as you walk back up the ramp to head out of the store. I think that's where I saw Plucky- Very cute. Good marketing on part of Plucky Station to draw more customers into the store as well as to learn more about Plucky Station and their services.

The place has a lot of claw machines, and each section seems to have different items inside. Most of the prizes are stuffed animals, which makes it feel a bit like a classic arcade prize area. There were definitely parts of the museum that were not appropriate for the four-year-old. It's not just the Muppets, people! The Muppets are great, but then there's The Exorcist and a whole lot of other things happening in there. So, depending on the ages in your group, you may need to do a little navigating. But we had a great time. The Muppets were a hit, and we checked out Felix the Cat--which thoroughly confused the four-year-old but was mostly age-appropriate. The arcade was another winner. We spent a whopping $5.50 and had a great time playing the games. Sometimes it really doesn't take much! We also enjoyed the MoMI Lab. There was a computerized dog that completely captured the four-year-old's attention while simultaneously terrifying her. She couldn't quite decide whether she wanted to get closer or get away from it, but all was well. And the café was a hit too! We ended our afternoon with a grilled cheese, two donuts, and a latte. Everybody got something they wanted, which is about as successful as an outing with a preschooler and a teenager can get. Overall, it was a fun afternoon with plenty for both ages to explore. Just do a little homework beforehand if you're bringing younger kids so you know which exhibits to wander into--and which ones to wander right past.
