I did a bit more digging and soon discovered Howard and Marge. Color me happy! A clothing boutique for women of all ages with hip, sexy but not trashy, fun, colorful and unique apparel, not to mention the most fun trucker caps (I've got three so far) and other fun accessories for yourself or for friends. I literally stocked my closet with jeans, tops and sweaters from Howard and Marge and found a couple super cool, retro style shirts for my man. Since I'm not a mall shopper and I prefer to shop and support my local businesses I will probably be wearing Howard and Marge apparel exclusively now.

Bring your dog to work - do NOT YELL at me (the customer) for opening the door in fear that your dog will escape. You screamed at me and made no apologies for it, even though my mother was clearly holding YOUR DOG back from getting outside. Here is an idea, put a long lead on your dog. 2. How about talking to your customers and not just your friends. A quick hello and asking what we were looking for would have been nice. Sorry we did not go to school with you or that we do not have kids that go to school with yours, but we are very faithful Burien shoppers who deserve some attention. 3. Learn to use an inside voice. The volume at which the owner spoke was completely distracting. 4. Put price tags on things. There were some super cute knee high socks that I kept gravitating to, but contained no price tag nor was there any signage about the product. People do not like having to ask for the price of things. Be kind and label them. We have no intention of returning. Feeling sad and frustrated. A side note: I am not giving the one star rating because of this experience. I have been in this store several times before this and every time the owner and/or person working behind the counter seems completely consumed with something/someone else.

Shopping in Burien, Washington…read more.. We were headed for this Ross yesterday, but saw IKEA first and bought a bath mat there. Shucks! The bath mats at Ross have a lower price! Oh, well... We looked at pet supplies, shoes, hair accessories, phone supplies, stationary, personal care items, kitchen gadgets, costume jewelry, and t-shirts. We ended up just getting a set of Stitch socks! There was a Security Guard at the door who greeted everyone as they entered and checked receipts as customers left. The cashier was friendly and efficient. We talked about Trader Joe's around the corner and how they still have the mini cooler bags... LOL! Thanks for the Tuesday Club's 10 percent discount!

It's the kind of place my wife and I would love to shop, if things were a bit more affordable, but YMMV. Staying at Salish and walked into this gift shop with my husband to buy a few gifts my daughter…read more There's so much to look at that I was taking a bit long while my husband was perusing around. We're Hispanic and definitely got the vibe that one of the staff members was nervous we were going to steal something! The woman asked if my husband needed help 4x in the span of 20 minutes. He stepped outside to get reception and when he returned, she says "back again, I see". He met up with me towards the back wanting to leave and then she came up to ask if she could hold our items up at the front, I guess because she thought we were in cahoots. The whole thing is extra hilarious because we could easily afford to buy the entire store 4x over. My one regret is that my husband didn't share his experience beforehand so that I wouldn't have given them my money. Lesson learned.

We were greeted with mimosas upon arrival, and Catherine had already picked several items for both of us to try on. After combing through the store, I found that the biggest challenge was narrowing down my selection, because everything here is so stinking cute! It's clear that they do a lot of research on current trends. The 45 minute time a lot seemed to fly by, but I left the store with a bunch of new clothes that I love!
