All of these books, should of been priced at $1.99
    Linh H.

Firstly, let me mention I have been shopping goodwill my whole life, I support reusing, recycling, and sustainability. I love goodwill. But tonight, was quiet a bit alarming. 10/26/2021 8:00pm I was being checked out. I had choosen to buy many small paperbacks books. As I was being checked out, The worker asked Nicki, I'm assuming the manager, how much the books would be. I picked them all out as being normal, small paperbacks for $1.99. But Nicki insisted they were $2.99. She pointed out one book and said "this one is $1.99". The comment was so rude, I thought she was joking. All the books being roughly the same size. She followed by saying "if it has chapters it's $2.99". I asked why the one she pointed out to be $1.99 had chapters. She failed to answer and made me feel very uncomfortable. Like she was biased to me in some way. Needless to say, I told her that didn't make sense and I felt like I was being hustled. She didn't care. I'm really looking for some closure on this. I even asked to see the dimension rules for book prices and she denied me that. I'm at a loss for words snd very hurt that our experience at goodwill went like this today. She entirely lacks customer service or the ability to connect with customers. As a business owner in multiple industries, this type of treatment should not slide.

They do not honor their sale colors. Not a customers fault they didn't take down their signs.

I'm not sure why it's such a hard task to drop things off . Long line they make it so you can't pull out . I've been waiting 20 minutes easily . Their Big carts have wheels they can push it up to our vehicle . . Last time I will be dropping off here .

Just go to Dearborn to drop off your donations. Told to come back tomorrow but they don't know what time they'll accept donations.

We first encountered Max months earlier while showing a home to clients. He appeared severely underweight and in poor condition, so we contacted Regional Animal Services to request a wellness check. The owners ultimately surrendered him, and wanting to help, we later signed up to become foster volunteers so we could give him a chance to recover in a safe home. During the week Max lived with us, we experienced him as a very sweet and gentle dog. As he began to settle in, his personality really started to come out. He loved going on walks and would wiggle with excitement when he saw his leash. He also got along well with our resident dog and showed no signs of aggression in our home. When Max developed signs of an ear infection, we contacted the shelter and were asked to bring him in for a veterinary visit. Upon entering the shelter, Max clearly became nervous. And during that visit an incident occurred, and he was placed into quarantine. We were later informed that due to his decline while in quarantine, the decision was made to euthanize him. This outcome has been heartbreaking for us. We stepped forward to foster Max because we believed he deserved a chance to heal and eventually find a loving home. In the short time he was with us, he showed us a kind and affectionate personality that we will never forget. While we respect that shelters must sometimes make difficult decisions, the way this situation unfolded has left us feeling deeply saddened and frustrated. We wish there had been more communication and consideration of the dog we experienced in our home before things escalated to this outcome. Because of how this experience was handled, we have made the difficult decision that we will no longer volunteer or foster through this organization. Max deserved compassion, patience, and careful evaluation. We will always remember the sweet dog who came into our home and quickly became part of our daily lives. He deserved the opportunity to continue healing and experiencing the love he had just begun to find. See more of Max here:

She refused to talk to us or make eye contact, answering a phone call as soon as we walked in. We were trying to see if we could drop off two stray kittens here, and if not, if we could be pointed in the right direction. Someone else steps in and asks the people behind the desk why they weren't helping, they just shrugged and pointed to the woman making a phone call. This person gave us advice, thankfully, but told us that since we took the kitties in, we've "assumed care of them" and need to pay a fee to surrender them. These aren't our cats, so we didn't do that. They told us to go to Seattle Animal Shelter. This was a frustrating experience since we really would love for these kitties to go to a loving home. We thought a place called BurienCARES would be a lot more helpful, but instead we were met with discrimination. I talked to somebody else who had a similar experience trying to drop off a stray kitten, but was treated with sharpness and judgement. ALSO -- I recommend giving the article about this place on B-Town Blog a read. It's called "Claws come out over Burien CARES as city council debate deepens" written by Mellow Detray.

Maybe they need more help or a marketing person. If they could get a handle on the smell. I'd be game to help. Thank you for all you do. Miz Kilmousky
