I drove the vehicle to safety and called AAMCO Seaford for an appointment to have the problem checked. I dollied the GMC to the shop the following day and left it for a diagnosis and estimate. The following work day, I received a call from the technician who explained the three issues he found and his repair recommendations. He said that I would receive another call estimating the repairs. I did receive the call shortly thereafter and gave verbal authorization to do the work. I was called two days later and told the vehicle was ready to pick up. The invoice was exactly the amount quoted and the vehicle performed flawlessly. I am extremely satisfied with AAMCO Seaford, with the shop, staff, honesty and work integrity. I highly recommend this business and give it the highest rating. I don't believe that I would have been charged so little from competing shops, and chose to have the vehicle dollied from Salisbury, Maryland to Seaford, Delware, over 30-miles North. I brought this car to Salisbury transmission in the summer time of 2019 to get fixed. They originally told me I needed a new engine and the price would be around 2600 for it. I expected for them to look at the whole car and tell me what was wrong later down the line once the 2600 was paid they told me the transmission was not working and wouldn't kick into gears which we had to pay a total for the transmission of 3063. Then months after that, they tell me the transmission is out and that it would cost 3063 to get fixed. We pay that which was very troubling I asked if everything was good and even brought the car back 3 times because it was not driving right. Because I live in Fort Washington, Maryland but go to school at Salisbury university. They said it's completely fine, but I had a feeling things were still messed up. Later, I take it to the mechanic & he said they did a half ass job, they didn't put things back, had two busted axles that were leaking and greasy (that they never mentioned it and let me go home like everything was fixed properly). If it wasn't for God almighty I wouldn't have made it across the bridge safely and back home. THIS is not the place to go to find people trustworthy and worth your money because they are terrible and mechanic are not knowledgeable. I pray you guys read this review because if not you could end up just like me. They may respond and try to give an excuse or cover they tracks to pretend they are so good but they messed my car up and put my life in jeopardy going across that bridge with a car that was 100% to make it home. And that's why I'm writing this review; be AWARE who you trust. Im working with this company on handling the issues that has taken place while they are working on my vehicle. WHY? BeCause he always gives us optimum service from start to finish. His shop is not one of those shops that is constantly recommending things that need to be done that don't really need to be done immediately. His business is totally honest. His front of the house staff are knowledgeable, with good personalities and you really get the feeling that they take great pride in their jobs.
