This is a long overdue review. I hired Lucy Wu Floral Design for my wedding last May, 2014. This was a huge wedding with 500 guests. We had an outdoor ceremony and an indoor reception. Lucy exceeded expectations. She created 50 large centerpieces, bridal bouquets, boutonnieres among other arrangements. They were all gorgeous. the pictures speak for themselves. I would definitely recommend her for large events, small events, anything. Not only is she creative, she was accommodating to our needs and listened to our input. I must have changed my centerpiece design at least three times. And each time she would create a sample centerpiece until we finally got it right. One of the most impressive things she did was sticking around to take down the floral arrangements from the ceremony and using them to decorate the reception hall. I did not ask her to do this, she was thoughtful and sweet enough to do it on her own. I seriously cannot say enough great things about Lucy. She is a master at her craft. read more

I'm so upset right now. Ordered flowers for Mother's Day. 8:00 pm and hey never arrived. Late last year as well. I even offered to have them delivered on Saturday to avoid the same problem. Stopped in 2 weeks ago after my BF bought me a beautiful bouquet here. LET ME TELL YOU, my hydrangeas were still kicking 13 days later! Day 14, I finally tossed them and went back today for more. The owners daughter was assembling a beautiful bouquet for someone else in the store and I as I ordered my hydrangeas, I immediately felt a sense of regret because it is so basic. That girl knows what she is doing! So I said I'll take the hydrangeas, but also give me what he's taking. So I walked out with 2 bouquets for under $50 knowing they will last for 2 weeks. Don't waste your time or money on this place! They don't care about their customers! I called them to make a floral blanket for a funeral, I gave them the name, addresss and phone number to the chapel and that was missing was the name of the person and instead of having called me back they decided not to make the arrangement at all, didn't call me back to let me know to make other arrangements, didn't call me back to get the missing name they needed and all of this happened after I made it clear how important this was for me. I told them that I couldn't afford any mistakes! I never imagined they just wouldn't make the arrangement at all and not tell me anything. I was mortified the day of the funeral! I couldn't believe how bad they dropped the ball and then they had the nerve to blame me and lie and say that they called me the day before multiple times! That's just a flat out lie! I didn't get not one missed call. Instead of taking responsibility what they did was blame me! What a joke and terrible customer service! Shop at your own risk! Chances are I'm not the first this has happened to. If you want to show someone how much you don't care about them shop with these people.. if you care even a little bit stay far from this place!! read more

If I can give 0 stars, I would, but unfortunately 1 star is the lowest. We met with Lucy back in March twice to discuss different types of designs for our center pieces that would meet our budget. After the first meeting we walked away acknowledging that our initial price point may be too low to get us what we wanted. We were able to work out and increase our budget and schedule for a second appointment to discuss more possibilities. During this meeting, we were able to agree on a centerpiece and price and she informed us that she would send us the contract with all the details on what we discussed. After about a week, when we did not receive any contract, we tried to call and was never able to reach her. We tried to email, call, left voice-mails, and even left a message for one of her employee to have her call us back to no avail. She is completely not professional. I suspect that she might have promised us on a price of the center piece that was lower than what she wanted, and decided to just not call us back or talk to us after the price was agreed on. That was definitely a bad move on her part since I have many friends that were getting married or are getting marred soon and I will definitely not recommend her. In fact, I am also leaving this review to warn some of the people that may be looking for a florist that is willing to work with you on your budget. Lucy is not the person to go to! read more

I chose Lucy Wu for our wedding at the New York Athletic Club because it was clear to me that she is extremely passionate about flowers and works incredibly hard to make sure someone's wedding day is absolutely perfect. We had about 200 guests at our wedding, and Lucy created the most elegant, classy and full centerpieces for the reception and chuppah for the ceremony. After doing much research on New York florists, it became apparent that Lucy offers the best value in the city - she works very hard to fit your budget, and after setting a price range, she goes above and beyond to make sure the flowers on your wedding day look more high caliber than the flowers provided by the most expensive florists in town. From our very first meetings, Lucy spent hours with me to determine color themes and styles - she listens to what you want, but also provides meaningful feedback and suggestions based on her experience. She won't let you make a bad decision. Our wedding was in October, and after conveying to her that I wanted a very autumn feel for the reception, she designed the most beautiful bright red orchid and mango calla lily centerpieces, giving the NYAC ballroom a very warm autumn feeling. I borrowed my friend's chuppah, and Lucy's team even picked up the huge structure from my apartment, brought it to the New York Athletic Club and decorated it with the most gorgeous white flowers. It looked lush and classy - it was the perfect amount of flowers for the ceremony. Our guests are tough critics when it comes to weddings - and we received endless praise of our incredible wedding flowers - everyone from extended family, friends and even our bosses.
