DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS FLORIST! Ordered a Valentine's Day Be My Love Bouquet with Roses arrangement from their website to be delivered to my fiance on Valentine's Day (today). The order was placed on Feb 12. 4pm on Valentine's Day my fiance still hasn't received anything, so I called them to ask about my order and took the lady an hour to "track it down". An hour and a half after I call it finally gets it delivered, and it looks nothing like what is shown on their website. The flowers aren't even the same, the roses are completely open & it came in a crappy looking brown vase (seriously brown on Valentine's Day???). I definitely would not pay close to a hundred bucks for what I actually got had I known it would look like that. I get that it's Vday and probably very busy for them, but this was purely amateur hour quality of service and product... and my family used to own a florist for many years so I know what a $100 dollar arrangement should look like. It's pretty obvious to me they botched my order and just whipped up something really fast with whatever leftovers they had on hand. Very disappointed to say the least, will never order from these guys again. read more

They took my number ahead of time and assured they'd call if there was any issue. After many fails by 1-800-flowers, my husband decided to try local florists in the vicinity of my workplace to deliver flowers to me for Valentines Day, my birthday and our anniversary, and so gave Flowers by Nicholas a try. We've been fans ever since and don't bother going anywhere else. NIcholas' bouquets are fresh, beautiful and made with love. BE VERY CAREFUL. "Old Fashioned service" that fails to deliver. I ordered a bridal bouquet, two bridesmaids' bouquets and a boutonniere 2.5 months in advance of my wedding for a sum of $285 in cash. I requested peonies which accounted for the high price. One week before the wedding I was called and asked to come to the store and told that peonies were not available and that roses could be substituted. On payment, I requested whether a discount could be made given the lower cost of roses but was told this was not possible and instead more roses would be used in the arrangements. On the morning of the wedding, the flowers were delivered but the colours used were not the ones I had ordered, stems were showing, all three bouquets were small and fewer roses had been used than agreed and the ribbons were tied very sloppily. I pointed out the mistakes and the delivery man/designer returned to the store. We were delayed in leaving for our ceremony. After about an hour he returned with the correct colour for the bridal bouquet however the ribbon arrangement and number of flowers did not change. I again pointed this out by showing the delivery man the emails and the order. He responded that my order had not been communicated correctly by the owner and he agreed that the flowers were not worth $285 but he couldn't do anymore without delaying us even further for our ceremony. During the ceremony several of the flowers fell out of the bridal bouquet, so it was discarded. After the ceremony, I wrote an email to point out the mistakes. Despite having written evidence to the contrary, the owner refused to acknowledge the mistakes and had no interest in meeting to discuss my complaint and even suggested that I was being threatening and insulting. VERY POOR quality product and service. Would NOT recommend. read more

Then they ended up delivering a plant with dead flowers, I had to throw it away. So I called to complain and they argued with me and said they would send me something else. I cannot say enough good things about Flowers by Nicholas. I arrived at 11 AM on a Saturday, without calling ahead, looking for a centerpiece for a birthday dinner that night. I said two things, birthday and low profile, and they were off. We agreed on a price--I picked a price similar to large bouquets I'd seen at florist websites--and 30 minutes later I had a more impressive centerpiece than I could have imagined. Orchids, lilies, and more. But the florist thought it still lacked something and he added three red roses. And then he offered to deliver it for no additional charge when he learned that his store would close 3 hours before the event. The centerpiece received many compliments. While our party was nothing as elaborate as a wedding, Nicholas was recommended to us by the restaurant that we had my wife's "significant birthday party" at.
