I got a dozen big roses for my dad for Father's Day from Bosmat Flowers and was told from him today that two flowers still look great. That's 10 days later! Talk about lasting. Have been coming for flowers and will not be returning at all. I placed an order for a corsage and a boutonnière- $65 dollars. I asked for white roses. My husband goes to the flower shop two days later for pick up and it was a mess. The guy said they didn't have my order. The guy pulls out a box w a corsage that were just in there. My husband gets home and there is is no boutonnière. We had to return to the flower shop and request the missing item. The shop didn't even have one made, so basically my order was never made as they claim. He takes out a premade corsage and yanks out a rose from that and places it in a box - it was terrible. The corsage flowers weren't even white as I requested. The flowers didn't even look fresh. Also not to mention he couldn't even redo any corsage because he didn't know how to make them- he stated his corsage person wasn't in. Just don't go, my order was very simple and it was a mess. Not to mention there was a gentleman waiting to get a boutonnière and his had a white rose- the rose my order got was a very pale pink rose - the petals were not in their best condition - so again DO NOT GO IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR QUALITY. The good is that many different flowers are available. Not always fresh though, you have to see what is fresh to make a bouquet. I always could make my own beautiful arrangements from these flowers. Workers were patient and helped to make it up to my standard. I don't mind to pay . They aren't cheap. But today I came to the store. No customers yet, there is a son of the owner. I looked up at what I needed. Found some peonies, priced at $60 per bunch. I wanted to dress it up with some small flowers to pop the color. All i needed was 3-4 brunches. I showed what I wanted. He said I have to pay for the whole bunch- these were not the statement flowers, just a little highlight. The guy was just pushing to take it all and when I heard the price $60 , I told him that I need just couple to not overload the bouquet. He just acted as take it or leave it. Very rough and very rude. So i went to traders Joe's and purchased 6 beautiful bouquets for only $39 including 2 bouquets of beautiful peonies. Done with this place. Close to my home and open all the time are great but that's it! When you go in there, prices on all flowers are like the stock market. They can vary by as much as 50%. That's really not my issue. These inferior flowers last only a day or two before it's time to dump them. Lately I notice when my children buy flowers at other locations in my area, they last atleast a week or more! Once I complained and a woman who said she owned this establishment was not happy with my complaint offered another set of roses. Those only lasted 3 days too! The woman who helped me outside the store I believe was the mother, husband and son worked inside. I really respect their work ethics. The young man who works inside reminded me of myself when I was his age. Hustling and bustling, helping family and making an honest living. I highly recommend this flower shop. A pretty decent flower shop, but not the best as far as the Union Tpke & Utopia Pkwy area goes. I usually come here for last-minute arrangements when I know the other shops are closed, and they've been pretty moderate. However, I did not have a good experience the day before Mother's Day. I was helped by a teenage boy, who seemed like he knew what he was doing, so I trusted him. After contemplating for a while on what to get, I decided to get two dozens of roses, for three smaller bouquets (8 roses per bouquet). One dozen was white and the other one was yellow with pink edges. The boy quickly removed the thorns with a knife, missing a lot of spots. Most of the roses' petals were old. The outside petals were shriveling or turning brown. I understand that you just rip off the outside layer, but it doesn't look great after doing that to almost all of the roses. I'm very keen on these details, and I wish I noticed earlier. He wrapped the bouquets with the clear plastic very messily as well. He seemed to not care about what he was doing... He looked annoyed and tired, while talking to his friend that was standing there the whole time. My boyfriend went back to complain (5 minutes after leaving) about how most of the roses didn't look fresh and how the whole thing just looked messy, but all the boy said was, "I can't change them because I already cut them" and continued to add tissue paper on the bottom of the bouquets to make the presentation look nicer. Eh, understandable for a grade schooler, but not acceptable if you're working for a flower shop. What did I do for the next 20 minutes? Sat in the car while I took everything apart. I made my own small bouquets that were actually visually appealing. I wrapped it nicely with the clear plastic NEATLY with the tissue paper around the whole thing, and not just the bottom. Made me feel like I should have my own flower shop instead, no offense. Oh, how I WISH I took before and after pics! #regrets The owner was there the whole time, didn't notice the situation at all, but seemed really busy. This is a review with mixed feelings... This place might be ok for ordering flowers to give to someone that will go in a vase or be stationary. This is NOT for weddings or events. I ordered floral bouquets, corsages, and boutonnieres for my wedding. I gave pictures of everything that I wanted. The flowers were beautiful and fresh, and looked exactly like the pictures that I gave them. The owner initially wanted me to pick them up the afternoon before the wedding. That wasn't going to be possible for me there was no one to pick them up until the day of. Plus, I didn't want them to begin to wilt by picking them up more than 24 hours in advance. On the Wednesday before my Saturday wedding, I passed by the store to confirm everything, and he asked if I could pick them up at 4pm instead. What?? 4pm in Fresh Meadows on the day of my 6pm Brooklyn wedding? No way!! He just said, "Well, you aren't going to need them until the ceremony, right?" If he was going to have time constraints, then he should have offered to deliver them. He finally agreed to the 2pm pickup. However, when my family went to pick up the flowers for me on the day of wedding at the scheduled pickup time of 2pm. They were not ready. They were asked to come back in 30 minutes. The arrangements were very poorly put together. The boutonnieres and corsages were very simple red rose with baby's breath. Yet, they were not put together or wrapped properly. The roses were breaking off the stems as they were wearing them. Imagine the look on my face as I look over at my Father while he is walking me down the aisle to watch the rose fall off of his boutonniere. All he was left with was the stem and baby's breath. The same thing happened to the other groomsmen. My groom had a Red rose and white calla lily boutonniere to match my bouquet. The rose also fell off right after the ceremony was over and we were walking down the aisle together. We had to try to pin the rose bud back on the stem so that it would last for pictures after the ceremony. The bridal bouquet was just red roses with white calla lilies, and bridesmaids bouquets were red and white roses. They were put together on a white plastic bouquet holder with foam. As we were posing for pictures with them, the flowers were falling out of the foam. I have been a bridesmaid in multiple weddings before with similar floral bouquets, and I have never ever had a bouquet arranged like this. I didn't request any difficult or special arrangement that would have required it to be in the foam. It is usually the longer stems with ribbon tightly wrapped around them, keeping them together well. Because the flowers were cut only a couple of inches long to fit in the foam, I wasn't able to do much to preserve them for a keepsake. What good is paying for these flowers for the wedding, if they can't even make it through the ceremony?? read more

I had a very unpleasant experience in this flower shop. I placed an order for flowers by phone for an arrangement I was making for Mother's Day. I specifically asked for a certain color of carnations which they said they had and scheduled to pick it up the day before Mother's Day. The next day I visited the store to pay for the order in advance and to verify my order just in case. Good thing I went in because they had no record of the order. So I placed the order again and also paid in full. When I returned to the store to pick the flowers, again they had no clue as to my order. I showed them the card they wrote my order on and they said, "Well we do not have your flowers in that color. This is all that came into the shop so you can pick from what is here. If you don't like that then you can have your money back." No apologies, no regard for not having my order and no assistance at all. Instead just a take it or leave it attitude.
