I always enjoy a night at Lucy's Lounge in the Tower District. It's dark, cozy, and can feel romantic or high energy depending on the night. When they have a DJ or live band, the whole space comes alive and the vibe is just right. It's a great spot to meet up with friends, and they share space with a restaurant that looked like a fan favorite. I didn't try the food this time, but I definitely plan to next visit. The drinks are fantastic, especially the craft cocktails. They can get a little pricey, but the quality is there. The staff is always warm and inviting, which keeps me coming back. read more

Good vibes generally. Certain nights (usually Fridays/Saturdays) they have live music here. The drinks are made with quality from the awesome team of bartenders. I enjoy sitting on the patio, people watching, and smoking a cigar from next door. It's a classy, intimate vibe with a small Italian restaurant attached. This is usually my place to start my night. If not, it's usually the second after Goldstein's for me to grab a cocktail before going dancing! read more

Went to a queer mixer here and unfortunately it seemed pretty devoid of queer people. But I think I got there too close to the posted start time. The drink I had was absolutely delicious! It was the Nice cocktail from their seasonal menu. It was $15 and had "Vanilla Vodka, White Chocolate Liqueur, Green Creme De Menthe, Heavy Cream, Simple Syrup, Whipped Cream, Candy Sprinkles," to quote their menu lol. I also got a slice of pizza from next door and they quite literally gave me like a quarter of a pizza. read more

So so fun!!! It tends to be an older crowd so I prefer to go with friends my age. But awesome to be in front of live music and dance the night away! Its not a sweaty club, truly is a fun lounge. I've came a few times around 9pm and there's never a table available. So be sure to either come early, or wear comfortable shoes. Cover was $5 cash at the door. It was my first time at Lucy's. For my first time it was good! We came during a live music night, which was salsa music. When we first got there, a lot of people were dancing and it was PACKED. I would say they do have a lot of seating though. Lucy's connected to Mama Mia pizzeria, but if you're at mama Mia and try to come to Lucy's, a security guard will stop you. They had a $10 charge that night, but I think it was due to the live music. My New York sour drink was good, but the portion was small especially for the price of $12. The drink contained more egg white than actual liquor. I will be back during a non live music night to see the vibe. read more

We had such a great evening at Lucy's Lounge. we ordered a Chicago style pizza and we ordered delicious drinks. I had an old-fashioned tequila which was so yummy. There were orange bitters in an orange slice with agave at the bottom of the glass. Yummy! My sister had a beer and my nephew ordered some sour drink that he also enjoyed. What a cool place to hang. Seriously, one of the dopest spots I've been to in a while. Live music everyday. Lemme say that again...LIVE MUSIC EVERY DAY! I found the service to be top notch too. The drink menu is all that and they ain't servin them watered down joints either. If u get a lil hungry, connected next door is Mama Mia Pizzeria. Drinks are expensive and really weak. I got the pineapple one and I felt like I paid 15 dollars plus tip for a small glass of pineapple juice. There are better bars out there that are reasonably priced and actually use a sufficient amount of alcohol to make it worth your money. Been looking for craft cocktails in Fresno and I believe I've found what I was searching for here at Lucy's! The live Jazz music was great and a huge plus, really making it a nice place to lounge with some drinks. The drink menu was quite extensive and cocktail prices are up there, comparable to bay area's ranging from $12-15. I tried the lavender lemon drop and absolutely loved the color, but the drink was a bit sweet for my taste which was my own fault since it is a lemon drop after all. I recommend it for ladies looking for an easy sipping drink. Old fashioned is served in a pretty small glass in comparison to others I've seen outside of Fresno, and wasn't as strong as I anticipated. Nonetheless the drinks were decent and I'm happy this place exists in tower district! I would certainly return to try another drink the next time I'm in town. read more

This is such an amazing place to hang out with friends for a special occasion or simply to relax after work. My coworkers and I decided to reserve a table to celebrate one of our coworkers birthdays. The owner came to our table to greet us and kept an eye in case we needed anything. Live music starts at 7:00pm and is phenomenal! Live music creates such a vibe and good experience in this place. There's a a variety of drinks in the menu, but you can ask the bartender to make any drink you would like. Another perk is that mama mias restaurant is right next door! This place has friendly staff and a wide selection of cocktails on the menu. The interior is nice and not very crowded on a Thursday night. However for a cocktail bar I would expect the drinks to be a lot better than a well drink from a dive bar tastes. After seeing the menu I had high hopes for the place so I started off with the "Black Berry" to which the bartender asked "old fashioned or mojito" because unbeknownst to me they named the drink but had another option that could be misinterpreted . The drink tasted, not so much as an old fashioned, but not like a blackberry either, more like cheap liquor with a splash of simple. So this was "girls weekend" Much needed trust me!!! Hehehe i spent the weekend at my friend Sonia's house and we decided to take her brother with us to the tower district on a Saturday night for some fun!! My biggest advice here UBER HERE!!! Do not come to the Tower district in your car tons of cops strict enforcement don't even risk it!! Now our first stop was Lucy's Lounge get here early it gets packed and that's for a reason it's AWESOME!! live bands as well. it's dark, inviting kinda loud but i loved it! The draw here Omg the best cocktails i've probably ever had and so freaking innovative now i won't be able to explain some of what i had as i was buzzing halfway through the first one Lol...I didn't get drunk just really pleasantly buzzed No cheap alcohol here all top shelf and yes it's not inexpensive but trust me it's worth it you'll get it when you have your first drink and have zero problems paying for perfection people. we started with some fruity drinks you can see from my pics honestly just close your eyes put your finger in the menu and voila you won't be disappointed Lol...my last drink i had was soooo unexpected i ordered the tequila old fashioned i don't think that was actually the name it was a special drink they have different amazing concoctions every month. And i'm not a tequila person but my fave drink is the old fashioned so why not right?? Oh man i do remember it was don julio tequila like a darker one with some other stuff i don't really care it was phenomenal!! Made me think of good tequila in a whole different way I definitely have new respect for tequila now! Oh the Fantasy island i had YUM!! definitely start with a lighter fruity one then gradually move into the more deep sultry ones and once you've had a few walk thru the opening to the the fantastic italian place put in an order for the crispiest, cheesiest pizza to soak up that alcohol hahaha....It was me, sonia her brother and his friend and trust me these boys are hmmm lemme say high maintenance a bit lol and we all stuffed our faces with that delicious pizza we didn't care as no one in there did either, fantastic cocktails, fantastic food what more can you ask for on a saturday night??? So it's a Tuesday night and I'm looking for something to do, Lucy's kept popping up so I said what the hell. I NEVER come into tower just because of the parking and people I run in to. Tonight I'm happy I did. Sheng was a total beast running the bar all by herself, and knocking the drinks out the park! We got food next door at mama Mia's we ate at the bar had a few and left home happy and full! TLDR; Go here. Craft cocktails and knowledgeable staff. Be adventurous and ask for recommendations, you won't get a bad drink here. Met up with a friend here for drinks one night last week based on her recommendation and I couldn't have been happier! The ambience was fantastic, that perfect bar vibe (not club, bar) with live music even on a moderately busy Monday night. Didn't get the name of who was playing but they were great and added to the experience while not dominating. Football game was on as well which was a plus. Now the drinks. Oh these drinks. As impressive and comfy as the ambience and vibe of the place are, these drinks are what will keep me coming back and recommending Lucy's to everyone I know. We first both had the lavender lemon drop and it was delectable. I LOVED that they were served in a coupe and not the normal martini glass. I have been perfecting my recreation of this drink as I fashion myself an aspiring mixologist, that's how much I loved this drink. The next round was the Apple Whiskey mule which I also highly recommend. Mules are pretty basic but with the use of Demerara sugar takes it to a new level. My friend had the mango mule which was also delicious. Last I had an old fashioned but I don't remember the name, I think it had hibiscus in it. Was very good and while it was my least favorite of the three I would absolutely get it again. I wish I got the bartenders name but they were great. Even though he seemed to be by himself and had plenty of customers he made sure our drinks were on point and came around the perfect amount to make sure if we needed anything else. Great place in the Tower. First time here was Tuesday evening before seeing a show at Tower Theater. Loved the decor, very upscale and with a very unique Tower vibe/feel to it. Pretty long bar and it looks like they have everything you could imagine. I noticed they had a large variety of fruit and floral garnishes lined up on the bar and what looked like in house made syrups which is always a good sign. The bar seats are big and comfortable, no little stools to fall off after 2-3 good drinks ;) I had a seat at the bar and was immediately greeted by a bartender and given a menu. The first thing on it caught my eye, a Whiskey Row Old Fashioned---it was great! I'd like to try more of their cocktails in the future. I enjoyed my drink, the large tvs, and just the perfectly air conditioned and actually peaceful environment. I'm sure it gets loud and fun later in the evenings, but if you want a nice place for after work drinks and conversation, this is the place. Can't wait to go back. read more

I've always had an overall positive experience at Lucy's. However, on Saturday night (4/2), I experienced something I hope is absolutely never repeated. It was my first time where a "table manager" attempted to start a fight with my friend & I. It was quite a bizarre experience. We received 2 raspberry mules that were lacking raspberry. I took our drinks back to politely request a replacement. I then watched in horror as the waitress took a straw and dipped it in both our drinks, slowly sucking the liquid from our drinks. Her unmasked mouth, hanging open over them. Never mind the pandemic. She then announced to the bartender that the raspberry ingredient was missing. I watched as the bartender poured raspberry syrup on our drinks that had had the "table manager's" straw in it. I politely requested the drink to be remade as I am not a fan of my drink having a "table manager" unmasked mouth & straw included as ingredients in my drink. I didn't say anything about the "table manager" other than that she had put her straw in our drink in it. The bartender was flustered and said, "What do you want me to do?" I politely asked for a replacement. He obliged and made 2 new Raspberry mules. My friend and I took our drinks, thanked the bartender, he said all was okay, & we went back outside-at which point we were apparently pursued by the "table manager". She angrily told us, "You guys are fucking ridiculous. I took a clean straw. It's done at bars across America". At which point, my friend retorted, "It's okay, I'll Yelp you". The table manager then got angrier and said, "OK KAREN" at which point she proceeded to engage in a verbal altercation with her customer. I proceeded to intervene, talking to her calmly. I explained to her that her job is difficult and I showed empathy. She sort of calmed down a bit, just enough to avoid a call to the Fresno Police. She finally went back inside. However, it gets worse as my friend attempted to use the bathroom and the bouncer turned her away. She had nothing to do with the situation and security told us we weren't allowed back in. My friend (not at all involved in the tense "Karen"controversy over the mules) was visibly upset as she had paid for a drink, tipped the "table manager" $4, & was told that a bathroom was unavailable. Eventually, we simply walked away upon determining that the sobriety of the security guard & "table manager" was questionable (both became "general managers" or "security" then "owners" back again as they wished to title themselves). However, as my friend walked back in search of a restroom, the "table manager/general manager/owner" (as she self-declared) stood outside between 2 bouncers asked my friend why she was upset with her-as if she had forgotten that she had declared the bathroom prohibited to a paying customer. Reflecting on the whole debacle, I began to wonder about the possibility of mutiny by the part of the nighttime staff. After all, the "table manager" & "security" each changed roles as they wished and each made their own rules as to who was allowed to use the bathroom and who wasn't. Go here if you enjoy your drink being taste-tested for you during a pandemic, & if you are a fan of verbally-aggressive waitstaff of questionable sobriety. read more

If I could give this place a 0 I would. I didn't even know this place existed until my friend who lives in Fresno said to go here. I was visiting from LA and it was a horrible experience. First and foremost they didn't even ID us at all to enter or to even order drinks, so that was already a red flag. I sit down at the bar and had my hat off, I then put it on because I see everyone else that had a hat, have theirs on. Bar dude told me to take it off so I did. I'm then waiting for the bartender to take my order and she skips over my girlfriend and I to attend to some people she knew so that already rubbed me the wrong way and I say this isn't fair. The bar staff man then hears me, I could see him mouth something to the other bar staff and security comes and pulls me up to talk to me. He tells me I have to leave because the bar staff said I was a problem. I never said anything to them and I complied when he asked me to take my hat off. The security also confirmed when he came up to me I had it off and I said of course I was just trying to enjoy my night in ghost town Fresno since I was visiting old friends. He said either way my party and I had to leave because his bar staff wanted me to. I asked to talk to a manager and he said he was the manager which was a lie because when we left the bar I came back and he was outside and asked for a card and said he was just security. I don't know who the manager is but obviously this establishment is soft, uncooperative, and rude because we paid to get in, caused no problems, and complied to every request and still were kicked out because the bar staff wanted us to leave. I do not recommend this bar to any local or anyone visiting this area. They were unprofessional and rude. I hope the city checks this place out because they didn't check our ID's at all and when I asked for a refund because we were in there for only 10 minutes they said they couldn't. This place is great. Everyone should venture in on a Saturday from 12-3 when the champagne signature drinks are flowing at only $5 a pop! A Jazz/blues musician playing while slowly intoxicating us with the sounds of his instruments hitting our ears. It's an experience that more people need to have in Fresno. Join me on Saturdays. I been coming to Lucys ever since I moved to Fresno since I love the quality of their drinks, I just never though that a day would come were they would misplace my debit card. On 04/23 - 04/24 I went to get the usual shooters, and ended up leaving after a couple of them. Getting home, I realized I never closed my tab but it was too late to go close it and pick up my debit card. The next day I went to try and close my tab, I told the gentleman helping me, my situation and that I wanted to close it but he said he couldn't find my debit card. Which is rare because they managed to charge me for the drinks and I'm sure they signed for me as well. I know for a fact that I never signed nor closed my tab and got my debit card back. This will be the last time I will be giving my business to this place. read more
