I had recently switched my daughter to ludlow health center from Springfield hoping for better…read morecare. We booked for a new appointment with Jade Ormrod- Leven. Our first appointment went well for her yearly check up and she seemed helpful and seemed to hear my daughters concerns However when we really needed the help Jade let us down in the worst possible way. My daughter was feeling overwhelmed at school and I was concerned for her mental health and well being because high school is hard. I easily made an appointment and got right in. I was asked to wait outside which I have no problem with. Before I left the room I specifically told her NO MEDS!!!!!!!! There are plenty of other ways to help teens with out drugging them up. About 15 minutes later she called me back in to the room and told me my daughter had depression and anxiety and her first course of action was to put my 15 year old daughter on Prozac.BIG NO for me needless to say we left and we will not return to the north star healthcare system. I have had alot of experience with mental health for over 10 years and this was the absolute worse recommendation she could have ever given. She totaly went against my wishes for my daughter. She should have to refer any patient with any mental health concerns to an actual professional. If you are a strong advocate for your child be very weary of Jade.

I was seen by a Dr woman named Stacy, I have never in my life felt the way she made me feel.. Not only did she not help me at all but she gave her dr advice that had nothing to do with why my daughter and I were there witch was make sure to get a new toothbrush. How Rude also telling me I had nothing wrong and my test came up negitive I had to ask for what there was no test given to me she lied to me then sent me on my way to get worse and ended up at emergency room. Ludlow family medicine needs to do away with that woman. She is a disgrace to the company and I will deffenitly be reporting her negligents to higher up. Thank You!

They lie to patients, violate patients rights and continually feel that they are always right. There is no dignity or respects especially from Ms. Stillman who claims a background that she is surely not able to back up with any sense of patient dignity. I have always bragged about Valley Regional Hospital. Im going to go into detail about how special…read moremy experiences have been. I have an adult child with Autism, Epilepsy, a Blood disorder and he is non-verbal. He is very special to our tight nit family. Advocating his needs can be a challenge. He is afraid and his stress levels cause full blown seizures. V.R.H team in the ER has been the absolute most wonderful people. They took their time and made sure his treatment was thoroughly done to the best of their ability. Knowing what they are made of. Makes it hard to settle. One bad apple can ruin a batch, right? I recently went myself in the middle of the night. Sweet team, great Dr. Happy with the services. I felt the action plan was solid. There not a whole lot you can do if its 2am in the morning when you need your meds filled. First thing head to pharmacy feeling lousy. Wait in a long line.... Only to find part of our action plan didnt match up. And the pharmacy tech tells me, we do not have an antibiotic for you? No inhaler was called in? You got a nebulizer med and prednisone here. Okay, great but when you cant breath...You cant carry a nebulizer around to help you breathe in an emergency situation? And I need the antibiotic! So I call ED, I explain im at the pharmacy, I made it to the front of the line. They say there's no prescription for antibiotic? This woman annoyed for what ever reason. Tells me, WELL, You tell them They DO have the PRESCRIPTION! I said can you stay on the phone...she said she is looking one more time. No, they have it! Click! Pharmacist here's my frustration, my defeat, I can barely talk. He steps in to the situation with empathy. Looks everything up. He says Mam? I do see the prescription it moved to another screen because it can not be filled. The Dr wrote the prescription wrong. We did send them a message, they haven't responded. We will send it again. So I call back...At this point, Happy Hanna is even more annoyed. We'll ill let someone know. That Dr is already gone. Thank you. Checked back 3 times. Nothing! Another full day suffering with all this drama. I've already spent hours in the ER. I just want to get better so I can be where I need to be and provide for my family and make my living too. And these inconveniences will put me into 48 hours after my initial diagnosis without the treatment. Great Service, Great Doctor, Happy with the treatment plan. Terrible review for customer service representative not advocating my needs when things went wrong.

Somebody pointed out that they don't make enough effort for new patients to see primary care…read moredoctor. As I have just moved to the area, I have been trying to set up an appointment with primary care doctors over last 8 months (I actually want to visit a specialist that with my insurance I should be able to book without first visiting primary care doctor, but in this particular hospital they want you to have it). For a long time, they were saying they will have new opening over summer. Last time I called, the lady said she will check if there is primary care doctor available, came back 10 minutes later, and started to inquiry about all my symptoms in detail, check my history in their system (I was once in ER) and what I want to see a doctor for (fresh results indicating pancreatitis). Then she has put me on hold for another 10 minutes, and came back to tell me that unfortunately there is no primary care doctor available in the area, and she can put me on the wait list. Given that, I have an impression that this hospital has some type of DISCRIMINATING policy/strategy that SHOULD NOT BE LEGAL.

They gave me a resident. Ok I understand this person is learning but this person seemed to be more concerned with getting me out of there and heading on his vacation to Europe. Kid word of advice, "If you can't keep your mind on your job when you are 27 years old because you need a vacation perhaps this is not the right job for you." Very quick patient assessment, he missed parts of my body on his scan on my skin, was too concerned about documenting his findings, fought with me about the prescription the last experienced dermatologist gave me the last time, filled it, gave me the wrong prescription, gave me no instructions, forgot to have me pay for the skin tag removals and walked out of the room 2. I went to the front desk because I knew I had to pay for the cosmetic stuff, but they said, 'No you are OK" 3. 3. The billing department called me obsessively the following Monday (I had the work done on Friday) twice a day everyday till I called them back. They called me on my cell during work while I was at a client. Sorry kids not dealing with you. Word of advice to billing, "When you F up and don't collect send the patient a bill first. If they don't pay send them to collections then have collections bug the crap out of them. However, don't try to cover you own behind by unprofessionally calling literally one hour after the fact (I left at 4 PM on Friday, they started harassing me at 9 am on Monday)" Word of advice: Have the attending come in after the fact and check everything. Dartmouth you did a crappy job I would recommend avoiding the residents.

Also, the wait time has always been less than ten minutes for me. My doctor is Dr. Suzanne Shipman. She's incredibly compassionate and helpful, and is straight-forward with answering my questions. I feel comfortable discussing my health problems with her and I know she won't laugh at me or judge the things I say. Dr. Shipman, along with all the nurses that I've interacted with, really seem to put me at ease, since I can get a bit nervous whenever I see a doctor. I get the impression that everyone here genuinely cares for people. You aren't just a symptom or diagnosis. You're a person with a story who needs their help. Also, I can tell that the doctors and nurses really want to help the patients they're seeing, which is great considering I've had some doctors in the past that don't really care about you or your problems. Additionally, I had to go into the main building and get some blood drawn for labs. The lab techs were very understanding of the fact that I generally don't "do well" with getting my blood drawn (i.e. I faint). They kept me distracted during the blood draw, which wasn't horribly painful, and didn't immediately kick me out afterward even though they had people waiting.
