In April I was looking for an estimate for both siding and gutters. L&G was reasonable on the…read moresiding however their gutter cost was absurd compared to 5 other reputable competitors. I really wanted to use L&G so I questioned the gutter cost that was near double the lowest price point, as well I asked why we had to remove my current wood panels to install the siding when 5 other contractors felt it was better to install over the wood. Basically I was told my house would not look right and that the gutters were the lowest without them losing money. I reconnected with the other contractors and questioned the removal of the wood as I was curious if they were trying to save me money to win the bid and if that was actually best for my home. All 5 agreed it was actually better to install over. Fast forward, I went with a contractor who did not do gutters - so I waited to call gutter professionals when the siding was done. I collected 4 estimates as well as some to roof a barn shed. Ironically all these quotes were half of L&G's gutter quote which is what I found with the other siding contractors. One contractors who didn't do roofs suggested I reconnect with L&G. I did. I explained why I didn't use them and told them I was looking for the cheapest solution (product) to roof the shed. I asked if they would consider coming out for a fair estimate without any fluff or unnecessary add ons. The shed is nothing that need a spectacular metal roof and precision shingling. L&G declined coming out to provide a fair estimate and related they would not be the cheapest.

More concerning, an entire side of the house appeared to have been missed altogether. My husband contacted the owner, Chris Lagrasta, (the one who did the power washing) about the issue. He acknowledged the concern and said he would come back to take a look, but we never heard from him again. No follow-up, no return visit, and no effort to address the problems. What makes this even more disappointing is that my husband and the owner discovered they knew each other from years ago and have many mutual friends. We expected that would mean a little extra care and professionalism, not less. We paid for a professional power washing service and expected a thorough job and basic follow-through when concerns were raised. Unfortunately, we received neither.

On a phone call and invoice we agreed upon a 4 hour job with 2 men at $150 an hour. They arrived 1…read morehour late and they don't tell you beforehand that the clock starts when they leave their compound. It was an hour drive for them and they wanted me to pay for the commute to the job (my house) and $100 for gas and travel. That is BS. Companies don't pay their employees for their commute to work, it is their responsibility to get to work, not mine. A 4 hour job ended up taking 8 hours and we agreed upon $600 for 4 hours and $100 for gas travel for a total of $700. When the move was complete, they charged me $1250 including the 2 hours for their commute and hour being late. One of the most shady businesses I ever dealt. Do not use this moving company unless you want to pay double the price you agreed upon. They use intimidating tactics at the end of the job to get you to pay. Don't get ripped off!
