I shipped a bag to Spain. Was told it would take 4-5 days. The bag took more than 20 days to arrive, by which time I'd left Spain. They then charged me to return the bag to the US. LuggageToShip subcontracts actually carriage to FedEx. When my bag was being held by FedEx, I had to be the one personally calling FedEx to track it down. FedEx, of course, was complaining because technically LuggageToShip is the shipper, so they don't want to talk to me, but LuggageToShip wouldn't lift a finger to help. Customer service is non-existent. They only offer email contact, which is not helpful when you're overseas trying to get your vacation back on track. When I returned to the States, it took over 2 months for the bag to be returned to me. So I was without my possessions for 3 months, and didn't have them when I needed them on my trip. In order to get my bag, I had to pay an additional $250 to ship it home. LuggageToShip "Customer Service" refused to provide any escalation contact. (Try looking them up on the web to find a business address, or corporate officers- it's all carefully hidden) LuggageToShip also refused to provide me the information needed to dispute the charges directly with FedEx. So basically, if you want to spend $500 to lose your stuff, LuggageToShip is the perfect company for you. read more

Avoid this company if you value your time and money. I paid for a luggage pick-up service scheduled between 10 AM and 5 PM and spent the entire day waiting in my building lobby. No one showed up. When I contacted customer service, they claimed the driver came and was told by the doorman that I had already moved out. This is completely false. I was sitting with the doorman the entire day, and no driver ever arrived or spoke to anyone. So either the driver never showed up and lied, or the company has no idea what their contractors are doing. Either way, this is unacceptable. What's worse is that customer service simply repeated this false story and refused to take responsibility. I asked for a partial refund for the pick-up service that was not performed, and they refused. This is not just poor service -- it's dishonest and unaccountable. If you're considering using this company, be aware: they may fail to show up, misrepresent what happened, and still refuse to refund you. Don't go with Luggage to Ship. I can add my experience here as I shipped two piece of luggage from the US to Japan to move abroad at the end of last year (2025). You will have to manage everything yourself anyway, so just ship through FedEx or another basic service. Luggage to Shit promised they would handle everything for customs, but then they told me I had to call FedEx in Japan and do customs by myself, while also paying steep import taxes (in yen, it was 10,700 consumption tax, 3,300 duty, 2,250 storage fee [for while we sorted out issues], and 12,000 customs clearance fee), which shouldn't have been charged on personal belongings. As a note, FedEx in Japan doesn't do customs for personal belongings, so no matter what you send there, it will be taxed as if it is going to be sold as commercial goods. Luggage to Ship never mentioned this and did mark my goods as personal items, but had no knowledge of what they were actually doing. They promised the whole transaction would be managed by them, door to door. Had they (or I) used another shipping company, I could have avoided paying tax on my own, used clothing! Now here is my own personal fail - I tried to bring in some antacids and whatnot over the amount allowed and customs needed to dispose of them (because it was considered a prescription in Japan though it's over the counter in the US). I take responsibility for that slowdown and the storage fee. But what on earth did I pay this company for if FedEx and I did all the work? Also, I'm lucky to be a Japanese speaker because nearly all of the communications were in Japanese from the start. I know there are agents in the Tokyo FedEx main office, but not so many. I'm very grateful to the kind FedEx agents I worked with over the phone to clear customs and their help with chipping away at some of the extra costs of the whole thing. 1 Star I do not recommend using LuggageToShip. I booked my shipment with a confirmed delivery date of July 7th, only for my boxes to be rescheduled for early delivery without my consent. When I placed a hold with FedEx to avoid missing my packages, LuggageToShip charged me $250 as a "precaution" in case FedEx billed them -- even though the scheduling mishap was entirely their fault. When I contacted customer service, they offered no real solution other than telling me I might get a refund if FedEx doesn't bill them. Completely unprofessional and unethical. If you value clear communication, reliable delivery, and honest business practices -- stay away. I used this company three times to ship big boxes to Australia, they pick up from my house, very good experience, text supporting customers service was excellent, any time someone responded. Very fast delivery, I used FedEx once and once UPS, just make sure u take a picture of box with measurements tape, plus take a quick video before shipments, all three times both carriers claimed my box was bigger than 20*20*20 considering I used standard box from both carriers, after showing them the pictures and video of my boxes they dropped the case and waived extra fee. I don't usually leave reviews, especially negative ones, but my experience with LuggageToShip was so disappointing that I feel compelled to share. While their email responses are prompt, they're not helpful. Instead of resolving issues, they simply repeated that they are not responsible for anything that happens to your luggage. Here's what happened: I followed their guidelines for declaring the value of items shipped, old, used clothes to my sister in Germany, and entered an amount below their recommended value. Despite this, UPS and German customs demanded an additional 50% in taxes. While I did not get a response to my emails and calls, from either customs or UPS, LuggageToShip did nothing (!!!) to assist even though they were in constant communication with UPS due to their large account!!! They offered no real help to me, only messages reiterating their lack of responsibility. I'm not new to shipping goods internationally. I regularly send items to Germany and have dealt with various companies. Unfortunately, LuggageToShip's service was horrific in comparison to others. Not only did I lose my luggage and pay over $170 for shipping, but I was also asked to pay another $140 in nonsensical taxes. Then, to add insult to injury, they demanded an extra $23 for an alleged weight discrepancy, using a photo from 2016 as "proof" of my luggage. Fifteen days before traveling to Spain, I dropped off a piece of luggage at UPS in Los Angeles for shipment to my vacation destination on Ibiza. I have already been on my trip for more than a week, and my luggage has not been delivered. I have been contacted by multiple people from Luggage to Ship and UPS who want copies of the same forms, but despite my total compliance, and writing to them every day, there is still no word on my luggage whereabouts. Luggage to Ship responds to my emails with vague answers like "it's stuck in customs', meanwhile, I have had to buy a whole wardrobe to hold me over -- not cheap at this destination. I shipped 8 boxes from California to Delaware and I'm giving 5 stars because everything went as promised. My personal experience with them was good. The chat service was very efficient and fast. Delivery was also fast. I received my things at the door of my house in less than a week and everything was in perfect condition. I sent two giant boxes and, after customs and review, ended up receiving less than half of what I sent. I made a mistake in that I sent nutritional supplements (labeled and unopened), which were confiscated, but my belongings were ransacked, frames broken, repacked haphazardly and important documents LIKE MY COLLEGE DIPLOMA, clothing items and priceless family heirlooms, were taken with the following note, for example: CONFISCATED: - 1 TEXTILE BAG - 1 WOODEN TABLE - 1 WOODEN SPOON - 1 DRY SALVIA They stated: "If you want to make the subdivision of the items, we are interested to know what you want to do with the other items (red): - Return to origin (service with cost by FedEx policies) or - Leave in tacit abandonment." So, in order to get my remaining items, I had to abandon the rest. Additionally, I paid for all shipping and fees in advance, however, I was forced to pay an additional $200ish USD by the delivery person - with no explanation - for them to release my package. Luggage To Ship did little to aid in the process. They responded in VERY limited English from a different representative each time, bogged down my request with unintelligible "legalities" and could not explain why I was charged an extra $200 after paying in full initially. Phone connection was so bad I could not understand--this was not just one bad connection but happened repeatedly. When I complained that my bag was overdue by 3 weeks, they blamed it on the carrier. I can't say enough wonderful things about Luggage To Ship! The service was impeccable from beginning to end. The chat service delivered answers to all my questions and alleviated many of the stressful moments of moving from Los Angeles to Italy. We packed our 5 boxes, getting excellent instructions on how to pack and attach the labels. Picked up when scheduled, and all we could do is wait. I put Apple AirTags in each box to track their journey. A few days after the boxes left us, we closed up the house and 3 days later got on a plane to Italy. Our boxes arrived before we did! When they got to the FedEx hub near our new apartment in Italy, Luggage To Ship Checked in with us to see if they had been delivered. They got to us in one piece and I couldn't be happier with this company. The customer service is non existent and completely incompetent! When I finally received my label, it was for a 35lb package instead of the 60 I purchased, and the dimensions were also 18 x 18 x18 instead of 20 x 20 x 20, the primary carrier for them being FedEx. When I informed them of this error I was told it was fine and not to worry, previous experience with UK Customs has proven this to be completely Incorrect and irresponsible. After several phone calls, and an exchange of emails I was sent another label, this one missing half of the amended paperwork, once again resulting in a missed pick up by FedEx! Upon cancelling. People shipping items to India be aware, Indian custom accepts personal baggage only in cargo mode and LuggageToship team isn't aware of this. Hence you will end up going to airport custom clearance and wasting your both time and money. Your item can only be delivered at your home address if you agree to pay additional Rs 10000 to FedEx and its 3rd party team to get your item custom clearance(Trust me thats not so easy, fedex will ask you to send 5-7 documents with bank and attested in 3 hour grace window). DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT make the mistake of booking with this company! We recently decided to send some luggage back home (6 x large suitcases). The quote with Luggage to Ship was a few hundred dollars cheaper than Send my Bag. We decided to take a chance. Boy did we make a mistake! We measured up our luggage, weighed it multiple times and then submitted it all online. We received an invoice and paid on the spot. No later than 20 minutes later we received an email saying they had to add an extra $144 to the booking for "remote area delivery". This was the first warning sign. We wrote back saying we were unimpressed this wasn't mentioned in the original booking process but went ahead just the same, hoping this would be our only obstacle. Disclosure, we did read the reviews about this company in advance and still decided to book. About a week later I had to contact them to ask them to ship our labels as they had not arrived yet, they said 'Do not worry, this will happen'. Well surprise surprise, it didn't. On the day the labels were meant to arrive we had to contact them again, to which they gave a lame excuse that the person responsible for shipping them had not done their job. They then said the labels would arrive - on the same day the luggage was supposed to be picked up! We knew things were going wrong at that point. We called them again asking how on earth this pick up could happen smoothly if the labels and pouches weren't even here and nothing was labelled per requirements for international shipping. We were told we MUST take it upon ourselves to go to a FedEx store and pick up the labels ourselves. The customer service person then, after a lot of fuss, emailed me the labels so I could get them printed at the store. We made plans to go to the store to get everything we needed for the pickup. When we called up the FedEx store they told us we would have to pay for the labels and pouches because we didn't book direct through them and it had to be done by the Shipper, who obviously is Luggage to Ship. THEN we noticed that the labels that we were about to get printed all had incorrect weights for the suitcases we were sending. We contacted Luggage to Ship AGAIN. They kept saying 'the weight doesn't matter, do not worry', but we WERE worried! They spoke down to me at every interaction, the language they used was nothing short of condescending and offensive. I made the decision - two days before the shipment was supposed to happen - to cancel the order, as clearly it was not going to happen as it should and we were pretty sure we would end up with extra fees for the weight that they had not recorded accurately at their end (especially since they can blame everything else on customs at the destination point), despite PAYING for the correct weight through THEIR website. I called up, again, and told the 'customer service' guy that I was not confident at all considering nothing had been done at their end and I wanted to cancel. The guy kept saying to me "You need to trust me, this will happen". I then again said I was worried that the labels did not match the weight of the suitcases. He then said "Well you should get a broker", to which we were like "What are you talking about??, we paid for this weight, we are not incurring extra fees because you did not record it properly. He went on and on about how having a broker would help when it arrived at the destination, and how they had no control over what happened or what we may be charged when it arrived. He also could not give me an estimate on what a broker or what extra fees might add up to. I then insisted the order was to be cancelled and refunded to us (over $1100). He tried to guilt me and say things like "you will not get a better price anywhere blah blah blah" which we thought was very unprofessional. He then said he would refund us, minus the $25 cancellation fee. I told him I didn't think after all the constant emails and phone calls to try and correct their errors and trying to ensure everything was on track that we should have to pay a fee. We had to pay the fee and the money was refunded -nearly 2 weeks later. Not worth the trouble, not worth the price and extremely unprofessional customer service. If you do use them, expect that you will be slammed with fees upon your luggage's arrival at its destination because these guys seemingly can't do the job they say they're there for. I got excellent service from LuggageToShip.com. Two thumbs up! I scheduled a next-day pickup and shipping for 5 luggages from a university apartment a few days ago. The web site is very easy to do the pickup scheduling and tracking. More importantly, the price is reasonable, which is the lowest I can find among all others I tried. For suitcases and other types of bags to ship, they can be shipped as it is without the need to package in cardboxes. The customer service under "Let's Chat" is impressively very helpful and convenient to ask questions, there is an actual customer service person behind the chat to answer the questions (instead of a robot). The instructions on how to put the shipping label on the luggage is also very clear with sample pictures of what is good and what is not good. Terrible service! Do not use this company. I shipped my luggage from Florida to Ohio in October, however, they lost two of my suitcases en route. I had both sets of luggage insured for up to $750 each and submitted bills of all my belongings. While I was initially assured that I would get a refund of $2500, they sent a check for $500 after 2 1/2 months of continuous follow ups, calls, and emails. Though I have asked them about the insurance I paid, they keep transferring the blame without providing a solution. I highly recommend refraining from seeking their services, they are terrible with providing updates, do not provide any solution nor do they respond in a timely manner. I booked with Luggage to Ship (LTS) to send suitcases internationally from the US. When I arrived at Fedex to drop off my suitcases, I was advised I had not been sent the correct documentation from LTS. I called them and could barely hear the person on the other end of the phone. I was advised they would send the appropriate documentation within 30 minutes. At the 30 minute mark, I had still not received anything, so I called back and they wouldn't pick up - I called over 20 times over the next hour with no answer. When they finally did pick up, they told me it would be sent within 10 minutes and subsequently hung up on me and then wouldn't answer when I called back. Eventually (significantly more than 10 minutes later) it was sent, however the shipping labels were incorrect. At this point I was so distressed, I thought I had been scammed and had an important appointment to get to, and had been at Fedex well over an hour. They again would NOT answer the phone. On about the 10th call they eventually did, and I had to have the lovely man who worked at Fedex speak with them - he also could barely understand what they were saying - in order to obtain the correct shipping labels. More than 2 hours after I arrived at Fedex, FINALLY the correct labels were emailed through. I am so grateful to the staff at Fedex for their help and patience with LTS. I can only hope that my suitcases arrive where they need to go. I shipped our luggage with Luggage to Ship to Austria from NY. The luggage was stopped in customs still not sure for what reason. They did nothing, absolutely nothing, to help with the situation although me and my family had no clothes for a week. They told us to contact Fedex to find out the reason, which we did, and Fedex told us to contact customs. We went in circles for countless hours for a week trying to find out who had our luggage, if Fedex or Customs, and what the issue was. Finally someone at customs asked for a copy of my passport, which I had provided to Luggage to Ship when I booked their service, and a day later the luggage arrived. During this week, I called Luggage to ship countless times begging for their help. I told them I had hired their service, not Fedex, so I couldn't understand why was I wasting my time with Fedex on the phone while they did nothing. They keep telling me lies up until my luggage arrived. Even 2 days after my luggage arrived they sent me an email saying they were finally on the phone with Fedex trying to solve the issue!!!
