Boy boi did it surprise me. Crowds: they limit tickets into their farm meaning it doesn't feel like you stepped into Disney land with insane crowds. Busy enough to feel exciting but not where you're bumping into people left and right. Cornmaze: the HIGHLIGHT of our visit. This isn't any ordinary corn maze. They have an entire scavenger hunt that connects to their app. So you have to find 14 question and scan the QR code to answer. If you find all 14 (it's a hunt) and get all the questions right you're entered into a raffle. We had SO much and found all 14. It was such a fun bonding experience for our family. Pumpkins, mums, and more: the pumpkins and mums felt very reasonably priced. And the mums were HUGE and healthy compared to getting them at the big stores. We also enjoyed some hot cocoa, hot apple cider and kettle corn. All delicious. Animals: I'm an animal activist and reduce to visit places where animals are forced to provide entertainment. This place had a petting zoo but didn't allow kids inside and there was no actual animals rides. Thank you Kroll's. They have a few kid activities that you can purchase a wristband for $12, pony ride not included. Corn maze, tractor slide, hayride, etc. They have a little petting zoo with goats and cows that you can feed. Pumpkins are a bit on the pricey side. Might as well just vget them from a store at that point. I will say their apple cider donuts were good. I had one freshly made and it was deliciously tasty and soft. Overall not one of my go to pumpkin patches.

You park in the lot and walk to the Welcome Center to pay the $5 per person admission, which includes the hayride with hay bales (not lame wooden benches with a few strands of straw on it like most places), haunted maze, bread for feeding the farm animals and touring the grounds. Pumpkins range in price from $3 to $6, and you pick them in patch. Animals include horses, ponies, pigs, a llama, a donkey, a cow, turkeys, goats, chickens, and ducks. The staff is extremely welcoming and friendly! Godsell Farm is my new favorite place for pumpkin picking and affordable Fall family fun! It is a MUST visit! You still have time this year yet!

Regardless, I chose to continue our trip there, and I was happy I did. The farm features a corn maze that takes more than 20 seconds to get through, a small petting zoo where kids can feed goats and see a few other animals, and a hayride which takes you around the farm. There was a small fee for the hayride, but the corn maze was free, as was the petting zoo. You just had to donate $.50, I think (might have been less), for the pellets to feed the goats. The store sells seasonal fruits, veggies, bakery, and "gift shop" type items. I will come back again, but I'll try to leave an earlier weekend in October open in my calendar, for a better pumpkin selection. Although, we did find a small pumpkin in great condition that sufficed for this year.

The whole front area is kind of like a cool DIY play area. There's a basketball hoop, there's an area where kids can smack on different sounding metal objects. There's a corn feed area where there's little diggers and scoop trucks to play with that. You can meet the farm chickens and they sometimes event host events (we went during a popcorn time which was super cool to try different popcorn seeds as well as spiced popcorn with plenty of variety!) There is an area where you can pay to slingshot apples at a target in the middle of a field. There's a corn maze that we weren't brave enough to go in and the apple picking was really great. We selected a larger bag we stuffed it to the brim and we definitely had enough apples to Last us for weeks and my husband made an apple pie. We will definitely come back next season!

The property is attractive and has stuff for kids to do. They have a couple different stores along with their orchards. I didn't really spend much time in the stores and was a bit surprised by the prices for apple picking. But I will say they had really nice empire apples and I got mostly those. They have others too but they were mostly picked over already as the empires had just at been opened up for picking. Mostly I was happy to get out to Wisconsin away from the boring Chicago Southwest suburbs, into less populated areas. I made a pie with some of the apples and it was really good. I would probably come back.
