I wanted to get some pumpkins for our front porch. We headed to Swan's Pumpkin Farm as it was not too far from where we live. Lots to offer there! We were impressed with no admission fee for all that was offered. We didn't realize all that they had to offer--we were just going for pumpkins quick but next year we may spend more time there. Pumpkins picked, option to pick your own pumpkins in the pumpkin patch, lots of family fun available maze, petting zoo, concession stand, great variety of pumpkins, gourds, corn stalks, wheel borrows to use & so much more! Will return next year and recommend to others.

We choose Swan's for it's convenient location near us in Racine. Overall, we had a great day. We got wristbands for $10 so we were able to do everything except the pony rides (which I believe were $5). We did the corn maze, the hayride, walked through the pumpkin patch, went to the petting "zoo" (was missing a few animals featured on the website!), and got doughnuts on our way out. All of the employees were friendly and helpful and seemed to love their jobs. I would love to go back to Swan's!

Awesome pumpkin farm! Did the pumpkin run/walk today with my niece. First time going to the farm. It was very organized and there was lots for the kids to do prior to the run. There was a haunted house, 4 wheel bikes, corn maze, hay ride, barrel train rides and tractor slides. The run is on the farm through the fields on dirt roads. Unfortunately it rained the previous evening so there were many muddy puddles to navigate around. It was a fun run with many spooktacular surprises throughout the run. Everyone gets a pumpkin and apple cider at the end of the race. You can also purchase the most amazing freshly made warm apple cider donuts! Lots of pumpkins to buy! I will definitely be back next year for the 5K run/walk!!!

Always a fun time at Swan's Pumpkin Farm. My three year old had a blast on the water boats, the huge tractor slides, the jumping pad, the hay rides, the pony rides and picking out pumpkins to carve. I had the apple cider slushie and it was so good. The corn maze was also a lot of fun. Can't wait to go back.

I have been going to Swan's since I was a kid and now this is the must go to destination every fall. The outside displays were a bit small this year. This year they had Frozen. In the past there have been pumpkin displays of Dispicable Me and other known characters. We loved feeding the goats this year. It looks like they have scaled back in their store. It was really empty. We found the winning pumpkins and gourds though and will be back next year.

We took our three year old daughter to Swan's and she had a blast. We arrived at bout 9:30 on a Saturday, and while there was already a crowed, it wasn't crowded (know what I mean.) Parking wasn't an issue when we got there. As we walked in, the place is full of stuff to do. We opted for the corn maze for the family. I was surprised at first they charged our daughter admission to the maze, but after walking through it the price made sense. The maze was appropriately sized for a three year old, but it appeared older kids were having fun as well. We had a blast watching our daughter walk in to dead ends and giggle. From the outside, the maze doesn't appear that large, but it is laid out well. There was other paid attractions as well, but this is the only one we tried. They sell wristbands for $9, which seemed reasonable to me for all there was available. There were also free attractions that seemed great for families that didn't want to spend lot of money. Swan's had two different ways to get your pumpkins. There is a HUGE variety of pumpkins available as you walk onto the grounds, and they are all over the place. The other option is to walk to the back of the farm (be prepared to carry the small kids and borrow a wheel barrel). The front of the patch was pretty picked over, but walk to the back and over the hill, and there is nothing but pumpkins as far as the eye can see. Priced at $1.25/pound I felt they were reasonably priced. My only slight issue is that the minimum price is $1.75, but you can't put small pumpkins all together. The price is so low, I guess I don't care that much. There is lots of food and beverages for sale, but we only tried the apple cider donuts. You see hot ones being freshly made, but ours were cold. Disappointing for my father in law, but I though they were fine. There were lots of people eating around us who seemed to be enjoying the food. There is plenty of seating under shelter. The staff was friendly and helpful. We didn't interact very much, but they seemed to be there to help. The last reason we came here was because they supplied the Bay View Neighborhood Association in Milwaukee with all the pumpkins for the annual Pumpkin Pavilion. I see this becoming an annual family tradition in October for our Jack O Lantern's and good family fall fun!

Over 99 pumpkins in the car!!!

CITY SLICKER I have…read moredriven by here many times but i have never stopped. Recently I needed zucchini. We were having company over and I wanted to add grilled zucchini to the menu. When I stopped in I was amazed at the large selection of items they had. They also had a bunch of great looking zucchini. The normal price for them was $1.29 a pound but they were on special for 75 cents a pound. I grabbed 3 nice size ones and the total price was $1.83. Now that was a deal. I should have grabbed more. I was also able to meet the owner Chris. She was very friendly and helpful. She actually stopped in to drop off more zucchini. She was also there to see how the store was doing. We also started talking about cooking food and using fresh veggies. As she was talking to me she was looking through the peppers. She picked up two giant green peppers that were going bad and asked me if I could do something with them. I told her Yeah and she gave them to me. In fact, I took them home and roasted them on the fire pit. I also served them to our guests later that day and they loved them. In fact, the guests used them on there brats. I know roasted peppers are not a traditional topping but I must admit they tasted fantastic on the brats. Thanks Chris for giving me these and adding to our already delicious menu. This store is seasonal. I am not sure when they close down but I'm sure when it starts to get cold. I also learned that Chris is the daughter of the famous Jerry Smith who has the farm North of this location. So all of there fresh seasonal veggies come from there. Jerry Smith's farm has a great pumpkin patch for the kids to visit in October. If you haven't been there then I recommend you load up the Family and make a trip there. They also have a Corn Festival coming up in August too. Those events take place at the Jerry Smith Farm and not here. I also have a Yelp Review posted for that location. Okay back to Green Acres. The selection was huge. They had a variety of potatoes and onions, Roma tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, regular tomatoes, 4 foot tall Dill, corn, hot peppers, green peppers, pickles, watermelon and zucchini. Everything looked amazing. In addition to the fresh vegetables this location also carried flats of flowers too. I really wanted the palm tree for $330.00 It looks so cool plus I would always feel like I'm on vacation if I owned it. So if you are driving down the road and you see a little shack at the side of the road it's Green Acres. It is the place to be. It's like farm living which is the life for me. Yeah I may get allergic from the smell of hay. I do love the country but I also love my big city too. There are some song lyrics mixed in there above...enjoy!!! See Green Acres makes me want to break out in song. I'm happy that people seem to be getting healthier. Places like this are helping us move in the right direction. We need to learn how to make food again and not out of a box but from scratch. It is not only rewarding to do this but it tastes amazing. So I appreciate Green Acres and I can not wait to stop back.

The whole front area is kind of like a cool DIY play area. There's a basketball hoop, there's an area where kids can smack on different sounding metal objects. There's a corn feed area where there's little diggers and scoop trucks to play with that. You can meet the farm chickens and they sometimes event host events (we went during a popcorn time which was super cool to try different popcorn seeds as well as spiced popcorn with plenty of variety!) There is an area where you can pay to slingshot apples at a target in the middle of a field. There's a corn maze that we weren't brave enough to go in and the apple picking was really great. We selected a larger bag we stuffed it to the brim and we definitely had enough apples to Last us for weeks and my husband made an apple pie. We will definitely come back next season!

They have others too but they were mostly picked over already as the empires had just at been opened up for picking. Mostly I was happy to get out to Wisconsin away from the boring Chicago Southwest suburbs, into less populated areas. I made a pie with some of the apples and it was really good.
