Regardless, I chose to continue our trip there, and I was happy I did. The farm features a corn maze that takes more than 20 seconds to get through, a small petting zoo where kids can feed goats and see a few other animals, and a hayride which takes you around the farm. There was a small fee for the hayride, but the corn maze was free, as was the petting zoo. You just had to donate $.50, I think (might have been less), for the pellets to feed the goats. The store sells seasonal fruits, veggies, bakery, and "gift shop" type items. I will come back again, but I'll try to leave an earlier weekend in October open in my calendar, for a better pumpkin selection. Although, we did find a small pumpkin in great condition that sufficed for this year.

I see crates of commercial tomatos that come from the produce auction. I think they grow very little of their own produce anymore, maybe late corn and green beans. I think most of it is the same stuff you get at the grocery store but at a higher price. Just like farmers markets beware that a lot of these places are selling stuff at higher prices stating they are locally grown. When I see crates from produce that is purchased in bulk at auction, we'll if you think your being hosed, yeah you are. The super early corn at this place should be your sign. Why would they be so blessed, and it does not taste the same as the later, real wisconsin corn. Tomatos are over priced supermarket tomatos.

The whole front area is kind of like a cool DIY play area. There's a basketball hoop, there's an area where kids can smack on different sounding metal objects. There's a corn feed area where there's little diggers and scoop trucks to play with that. You can meet the farm chickens and they sometimes event host events (we went during a popcorn time which was super cool to try different popcorn seeds as well as spiced popcorn with plenty of variety!) There is an area where you can pay to slingshot apples at a target in the middle of a field. There's a corn maze that we weren't brave enough to go in and the apple picking was really great. We selected a larger bag we stuffed it to the brim and we definitely had enough apples to Last us for weeks and my husband made an apple pie. We will definitely come back next season!

The property is attractive and has stuff for kids to do. They have a couple different stores along with their orchards. I didn't really spend much time in the stores and was a bit surprised by the prices for apple picking. But I will say they had really nice empire apples and I got mostly those. They have others too but they were mostly picked over already as the empires had just at been opened up for picking. Mostly I was happy to get out to Wisconsin away from the boring Chicago Southwest suburbs, into less populated areas. I made a pie with some of the apples and it was really good. I get there right at 8am and beeline to that stand. They give you a pager while you wait which gives me time to do a lap or two around the market. Good food, options abound for those who want breakfast, brunch, or lunch. My weekly purchases are driven by the season, the hard-working vendors, and my fellow shoppers. From berries and lettuce in the spring to squash and kale in the fall, this market never fails me. I do notice that some days I come with the solid shopping list in mind, only to be inspired by the fresh produce to change my weekly menus. Yesterday I got fresh eggs, aged cheese, radishes, green beans, mushrooms, cauliflower, a brisket sandwich, Flowers, and other odds and ends. I'd also make a specific shout out to the Door County fruit vendor that never fails to bring a smile to my face.

I drove over from off Lisbon ave and I saw no farmers market so I drove around the whole park and it's all the way in the back. I still almost missed it because it's very small. I had some fresh ribs and cabbage in the slow cooker and I wanted a nice fresh vegetable side to go with it, to my surprise I couldn't find anything because it was mostly flowers, greens, sweets, salsa and basically nothing veggie wise as a side dish, see my pictures. This was the most useless farmers market and all I left with was a pork egg roll that was very average.

The veggies were so unbelievably fresh yet affordable, that was amazing. A musician was playing some music, giving this market a nice relaxed ambiance. Check out the Magic Garden sculpture, and there's a nice small playground and water spout area for the kids. Oh, and set your Google Maps for the exact address, as "Enderis Park" will land you blocks away, in the middle of said neighborhood.

Actually I'm not quite sure what "hale" means, but the dairy cattle look very healthy and happy. The Christmas tree selection was outstanding, the service prompt and friendly. This giant of a fellow, must have been 7 feet tall, expertly tied the chosen tree to the top of our vehicle after a fresh cut. Very popular place, a couple days after Thanksgiving they had already sold out of trees over 10 feet tall.

You're not allowed into the orchard unless you have,and pay for a bag or two. Each person has to have their own bag which, I think is a little overkill. There are two different sizes, small and large. Maybe because it was late in the season the Orchards were pretty picked over. Especially the second Orchard Way in the back that you had to walk quite a ways to get to. There were no discernible good apples there. We were very disappointed. So we went back to the first fenced in Orchard. There are tables outside and two modern farmhouse type buildings where you can get snacks by donuts. They are both adorable. They have a beautiful little walkway up to the Orchard with a swing and a bench. We would go back. But I would probably go back earlier in the season. Nonetheless, the apples were absolutely delicious! Shadow to the employee who let us carry one small bag because of health issues. The first place that you go to to get the bags would not allow it. So, I just wanted to give him credit for being so kind.

And if you get there towards the end of the market some of the farmers may even cut you a deal on their produce so they don't have to take it home. I highly recommend checking this farmers market out on Saturday mornings!
