I found Luigi in one of the mailers. I had to have my walkway redone as the previous contractor did not prepare the substrate properly. Luigi came buy with and quoted me a fair price for the job. He came by on time and his crew started and finished the same day! They even used a blow to blow the dust away from our front door when cutting the pavers so nothing would enter the house! Once the check is cashed, it is extremely hard to schedule or get a hold of him. We had our driveway repaved and there is too much pavement by the garage door making it hard to close completely. The only time I saw Luigi was when I initially contacted him. He basically sent his workers ( Who do not speak English) to do the job. The WORKERS (NOT Luigi) picked up & installed the pavers which are the wrong color. I specifically told Luigi when we met that I wanted the new paver walkway to match my existing patio. I called and left messages, texted & emailed with no response - I questioned the color of the pavers that were installed as well as the wire that was cut during the paver installation. The wire, as it turns out, controls my outside lights. The workers taped the wire, but I'm still having issues with the light timer that these lights are controlled by. An electrician is now involved, which is costing me additional money that I did not expect to spend. read more

PLEASE RUN FAST....First of all, he did not remove all of the demoed driveway and said that the base was fine even though it was loose. He promised me that the full driveway would be all QP however on his quote he wrote in QP stone as needed. Also, he promised me 3" of compacted asphalt but his quote says place 3" of asphalt which doesn't mean compacted. He demoed the driveway on 10/21/2020 and hasn't been back since. When I called him he said the driveway has to settle and has to be dry. It hasn't rained in 4 days. It's now over 2 weeks now and he never called me back. When we finally reached him he was so rude and had the nerve to say that he has never had a homeowner pester him like us. Contrary, there are numerous reviews on Yelp of his shoddy work and rude behavior. He never even showed up to a scheduled appointment when he said he would since I told him I had questions and concerns. If I could give him ZERO stars I would. I told him I was home waiting then he said he couldn't find the address so I asked why did you say you came if you couldn't find the address then he said again he came I asked what time because my security cameras does not show him near my property at which time he hung up. I so disappointed with my experience with Luigi Construction I have to warn other homeowners to beware. I contracted with this company for a driveway job that included removing old concrete, expanding width of driveway and Belgium block installation. Contract stated work to begin on 06/28/2018, did not start until 3 weeks later and only after several telephone calls asking about status of project. The crew did a good job removing concrete and laying gravel. After initial settling, a second layer of gravel was put down and blocks installed. Few more weeks later, the first layer of asphalt was put down. The job was stalled because of a rainy summer. I understood after all, they did not control the weather. Now we are 4 months later, the final layer of asphalt is still not installed and a slab of concrete that was broken by Luigi workers during demo is still dangerously awaiting attention. This company has failed to honor their contract, has not shown up when scheduled and now won't even take my telephone calls. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and am seeking a reliable company to finish the job. Shame on you, Luigi Construction, if you did not want my business, you should have said that you could not handle the work. Your company gives the entire industry a black eye. read more

I had a walkway done with pavers and saw there was some grass growing through it, this is not what I wanted, so I called Luigi and he told me to look at his work elsewhere and he'd redo the walkway so no grass would grow through it having a cement base. No product was needed as I had all the bricks. I was just paying for his time which was $2500! I noticed after a year or so some grass was growing and called his office numerous times with no return calls, or his wife would answer say he'd call but never did. Then there was hang ups!!. Then for a few years I was living with a boyfriend and was home intermittently... but the grass situation got worse. I tried calling and asked to have it corrected as it was getting worse, again they ignored my calls so I wrote a review, which was years ago. Time flies and his excuse is it's over 5 years? Now it is . So he says he's no longer responsible? I tried to have him come back but he was impossible to reach so it would be over 5 years! My walkway you can hardly see, it's a web of grass, worse than my original walkway that I complained about..actually you can barely see the walkway! I don't use pesticides as I love animals and it puts their lives and ours in jeopardy.and there are woods behind my house. Is this man not honorable? Do not do Business with this Man !! Took deposit for work he never started. never returned $ $500 deposit on front stairs $500 Deposit on side stairs WEEKS of Missed appointments and no shows...... Started work........ workers went through my garage?? Knocked my bike over, left on ground. Left garbage ( soda cans and bottles, wrappers) in my driveway for a week and a half. He sent workers back to continue work and Nothing looked right...... I know nothing about construction codes but I'm not stupid either, so I called two separate contractors to come and look at the progress. Both confirmed my thoughts that many of the things he was doing would be considered poor craftsmanship, and would never meet code. His price was the highest estimate I received. I thought I was hiring a professional. If I excepted a low bid I would understand that I was taking a chance......... Told Him I wanted to end the relationship and I wanted my $500 back from the front stairs he never started or bought material for. I also asked for $250, Half back from the deposit for the side stairs he "started". I thought that was very fair, it paid for the material he purchased thus far. Material I couldn't even use. the material was a waste. It had to be redone by somebody else. He said no......... said he would want another $500 to walk away. I told him that was unacceptable. and demanded that he return at least the $500 for the front stairs he never started. He said no..... He finally agreed to give me $250 back if he didn't have to clean up the pile of rubble and GARBAGE that was left in the driveway!!!!!! Feeling like I had no recourse, I excepted and he said he would send a check. I just wanted this nightmare over and to move on. Its been 4 week, and no $. I have SPOKEN to him 3 times. each time he said OOOHHHHH you didn't get it?? Ill send again............ This last time he hung up on me when i said who i was................... Now it goes right to voice mail......................... $1000.00 for deposit for two projects, one that was never started, and one that was left is shambles. They also wrote on receipt five-year repair -which well-built stairs should last much longer. They do shoddy workmanship and do not stand behind their work. Luigi construction did my driveway last summer in 2014. During the winter part of the driveway lifted making it a hazard because someone could fall and hurt themselves . I reported it to Luigi himself who agreed to come and look at it. After that conversation at the beginning of April 2015 he never answer my calls and all my calls were ignored and send straight to voicemail I even had to file a complaint through the Better Business Bureau. I had referred him to do another job which he did. they also had a problem and complain to him ..the same thing happened to them he ignore all the calls and kept sending the calls to voicemail. read more

Whatever you do do not use this guy!. Luigi Had the social skills of a door knob. I try to be as nice as I possibly could. Had asked him for a quote on on a job three years before and I looked him over and went with somebody else. I should've trusted my instincts this time around. I had cement walkways replaced in the front and side of my house. The job was done marginally right. I had to manage every step to make sure it was done right.. he lacked management and Communication skills on the five workers that he had there to install the job. He trampled five of my beautiful boxwood bushes/hedge so he could get to the back of the house with a wheelbarrow. Made no apology whatsoever about it completely ignored it, didn't even have the decency to replace the bushes/boxwood hedge.. I discussed the details that I wanted changed with him and he gave me an attitude I had to raise my voice. And speak to his men in Spanich which I luckily know how to speak and they looked at me with three heads. I have lengthy experience in remodeling homes and I knew what I was talking about. Luigi did my driveway in 2014. After he gave my husband the quote, he came back with a contract for me to sign. I presented him with a 10% off coupon that he regularly puts in the local newspaper and he outright refused to accept it because my husband didn't give it to him. Later when his crew came to our house, I answered the door and Luigi (with his workers next to him) asked to speak with the homewoner. I informed him that I am the homeowner and he all but laughed, looked back at his workers and said "SHE is the homeowner?!" He cleared the driveway, packed down the dirt, and said it has to sit for a month. Over 3 months later I couldn't get ahold of him to finish the job!! When he finally came back to finish, his workers dug a trench to lay Belgium block down the sides of my driveway, demolishing the grass on my neighbor's side (a portion of my driveway is an easement on her property and she is quite particular about that), they never fixed the mess they made, so I had to go smooth the dirt on her side and lay grass seed. I actually resorted to mailing him a demand letter to finish the project or I would take him to court. When he called me to schedule finishing the driveway, he said that my project was "small" and he has other bigger projects to work on which are more valuable to his company. I was appalled. Luigi is sexist, rude, a horrible business man who didn't honor his own coupon, who didn't finish the project in a timely manner, and who told me my project was too small to be of a concern to him. read more
