Hence when we hire contractors for any work around our house, we get multiple estimates (or at least try too), interview the contractors when they come to the house, and I also do research on their companies (read reviews, check their licenses, etc.). We contacted 5 different roofing companies and only 2 of them got back to us with estimates. We chose to go with DeFalco Roofing because we found Christian very knowledgeable, forthcoming with information and willingness to address all our concerns. AN EXTRA BONUS ~ he offered financing with a reputable company who has access to many different lenders to choose from if we wanted to finance the project. When the materials were delivered to the house, we weren't home, but Christian made sure to keep us in the loop of what was being delivered and where it was being placed on our property. The morning of the install we were greeted by Christian, his father and their team of workers that got to work right away and kept the worksite cleaned throughout the day. By the end of the day our old house had a brand-new roof installed without any issues. It was even tested the next day with a nice steady rain. If had to do it all over again, I would hire DeFalco Roofing without hesitation because of the excellent experience we had with them.

We got a very attractive quote of $9,900 from United Pro to replace the shingles on our roof a…read morelittle over a year ago. So far, there have been no leaks. But after they had stripped the old shingles off they claimed that they needed to replace sheathing and other things and that the work would cost $60,000. (The sheathing was perfectly fine and could easily have been checked before they gave us an estimate.) We had to re-negotiate with literally no roof over our heads. The work was finally done properly but costing almost 4 times what they had quoted. And they left nails in our driveway and on our yard and deck, where our young children kept finding them. They also used my ladder without permission and broke it. Avoid United Pro no matter what they quote!

After that, they removed our insulation, which was perfectly fine, and charged us an additional $20,000 on top of the original $7,000.
