We had a great experience with Luis & Son moving. I was put in charge of hiring movers for our business and I contacted three different moving companies. Luis & Son was not the cheapest, but in my opinion the best of the three. I felt comfortable knowing that Luis & Son already had experience in our particular building and that they had all insurance paperwork that our building required. Prior to moving day, Luis (the father) gave us specific instructions for our desk, filing cabinets and all other office furniture that was to be moved. Which was greatly appreciated as we didn't have to empty all the files from the cabinets, just a few drawers. On moving day, Luis and his crew (his son, plus two additional workers) arrived early and started doing all their prep work. Some started moving all the office chairs, while others were preparing the desk, mirrors, cabinets and fully wrapping them to protect them for the move. Once everything was prepped, they started loading the truck. Once the truck was loaded (very nicely I may add), they drove the truck over to our new office building where they started unloading all the furniture and placing in the correct office. While the crew unloaded furniture, Luis (The son) was in charge of building and assembling all the desk in the correct location. All in all, their service was excellent, proficient and done in a timely manner. Luis estimated 10 hours on his initial walk-through consultation and they did the job in 8 hours. We had a great experience with Luis & Son Moving. We highly recommend them for all your moving needs. On moving day, Luis called about an hour before he was scheduled to arrive to advise that he was running late because unfortunately his son was sick, so it would just be 2 men on the job. He also told us he would charge us a flat fee due to the inconveniences. We really appreciated this gesture. Luis and his other guy did an amazing job of carefully and meticulously packing our furniture and belongings into their truck. They were fast and skilled and knew exactly what to do. Considering it was only 2 guys, they moved fast! They then did an even more amazing job when we arrived at the storage unit. They managed to expertly store every last item in a manner that left me speechless. We were concerned that we would need to rent a second unit because we had A LOT of stuff, but they made it happen and fit it into one. Which saved us money in the long run. This is my third time using Luis and Sons Moving Company, and I truly can't say enough good things about them. My move came together last minute, and I was honestly worried they would already be booked--but thankfully they had a cancellation and were able to squeeze us in. At this point, I only trust them with my moves. They are always on time, extremely careful with every item, and incredibly organized. That level of consistency is hard to find. I couldn't imagine anyone having done a better job. Called around a few other movers who gave me either the runaround or quoted much higher!!! others wanted to know specifics that I couldn't possibly answer, such as how many boxes I would have or how heavy they would be... luis & sons was very professional and gave me a very reasonable price without making it too complicated for someone who doesn't do this as their daily profession. they took apart and put together all of my furniture and placed everything in all the rooms where they needed to go made things very seamless and really a pleasure to deal with. like that they were a family business. seem to have their work down to a science. Luis and his son along with another helper moved us this past weekend. They were absolutely terrific! Luis followed up with me the night before to confirm our reservation. They showed up 1/2 hour early and got to work immediately. The challenge was getting all of our furniture and boxes into their truck. But their expertise came through and they filled up every square inch of the truck, and everything fit. They wrapped all of our furniture and fragile items in blankets and plastic and nothing was damaged. Even though it rained steadily the whole day, they were very efficient. I shopped around when looking for a mover, and not only were they the best price, they also have the best reviews, and now I know why! And I liked the fact that when I called them to get an estimate, I was talking to the owner and the person who would actually be showing up to do the move, not just some sales person. My daughter had used Luis & Son in the past and she recommended them highly. I liked that this is a family business and they themselves do the work, not other people hired for the day. They took care of my belongings as if it was their own, protecting everything with thick blankets and stretching plastic. These are true professional movers with years of experience one can easily see even in the way they move around - Like a well-oiled machine ... Efficient and reliable. I was particularly concerned about my china cabinet - a very fine piece of furniture - coming down a flight of stairs, especially because another company I consulted had said that I (not them, but I) had to remove the doors and they would have to crate them for an additional cost. Not these guys; they simply wrapped the piece in blankets, secured it with stretching plastic and, bara bing bada boom; done in no time! First class service! From start to finish Luis and Son made our move a stress free event! I first contacted Luis about 2 months ago to schedule my moving date and he confirmed twice within the last two weeks prior to the scheduled date. They were beyond punctual (arrived 20 minutes ahead of schedule) and were very polite and professional. Our belongings were handled with care and wrapped in plastic and moving blankets to protect the furniture and TV's and everything arrived safe and secure. I recently had the best moving experience ever with Luis & Son. They arrived earlier than I expected and got to work right away. It was raining, and I was afraid my furniture would get wet, but Luis assured me that he had been doing this type of work for 40 years, and he would take care of everything by wrapping all the pieces with blankets first, and then with plastic securing the blankets in place. Nothing got wet; the men were extremely professional; nothing was damaged. They even wrapped the banisters of my townhouse with blankets when they brought the bedroom furniture upstairs so as to not damage them. The price was relatively inexpensive for the work they performed. We used Luis & Son last weekend and so happy we chose them. They were 10 minutes early to the scheduled time and were nothing but professional, beat, and efficient. They did an excellent job wrapping all the furniture/ table pieces and were very careful to not scratch or throw items in the truck. We moved our items to a storage unit and again, they were very careful in placing the furniture to make sure everything fit and placed boxes in between stacked items to avoid scratching the furniture. We will need to hire movers again to move to the house and it's a no brainer that we will be using them. Father, son, and the other mover were all excellent and personable! These guys were more than amazing. They worked so,hard not to damage anything that I had and it was a challenge , but they sure made that challenge look as easy as one, two, three. Although it was far more difficult than it looked. They are so organized and well managed that I would say these guys deserve the Oscar of Movers. I just had the happy experience of moving my household goods from one residence to another in Fort Lauderdale. Luis & Son are the best ever! I've moved three times in the last two decades and this move was by far the easiest. Luis Senior called me several times before the move to make sure the date was still confirmed. It reassured us both and I appreciated it. Luis Jr. handled the move along with two employees. All three were polite, efficient and extremely careful. There were no lost items and no breakage. They dismantled my bed and put it back together as good as new. All furniture was placed where I wanted it or moved if I changed my mind. Easy to schedule the move. Luis asked several questions on the phone before the move to get a clear idea of the pieces of furniture. He called ahead to let me know he was on his way and arrived on time, as promised with two additional men. They worked conscientiously and diligently. Can't say enough good things about this mover. Excellent service and great care for all of my belongings. Every item was covered and wrapped. Movers knew how to uninstall sectional and reassemble. All furniture was unpacked and installed efficiently. The three movers were quick and friendly. Moving is stressful enough but having these movers was the best part. They charge by the hour but so worth it especially since there are very fast. My entire move took 3 hours. That was amazing and not expensive compared to other movers that only use 2 people.
