PROS: They were able to take my request with less than a week's notice and put me on the schedule. They also said they could come at 11am instead of 9am which really helped me. Overall, they were a friendly team to work with, no attitude. CONS: They were a half hour late to arrive, with no text beforehand, and the map link they sent me showed them in another location entirely, an hour away. What really bothered me is that they did not take a lot of care in handling my things. They made a show of wrapping one of my bookcases in a lot of cellophane tape. Then they didn't wrap my other four bookcases at all! I have a picture of the damage this caused to front of my unwrapped shelves! Also, I used brand new book boxes, and filled them high, none were old sagging boxes, and yet multiple boxes arrived at their destination damaged and warped, which means there will be damaged books on top. Pristine boxes, damaged during a brief drive from the beach to Coconut Grove? Why? Well, while unloading, I saw them TOSSING my belongings into a cart instead of placing them in there. The antique piece of furniture that was most fragile and meant the most to me, with a glass door, ONE man took backwards down a ramp, fast, instead of waiting for another person to help him guide it gently down. They seemed to be racing each other or trying to see how much they could individually lift, regardless of the fact that they could easily drop my things by carrying them that way. Another successful project completed thanks to yelp projects. I found this vendor when trying to find a some local movers to help move our stuff from the PODS facility to our new apartment. They were very quick to get us a quote and were transparent with their pricing so there were no surprises when the job was done. On the day of our move they arrived right on time. They even provide a tracker so you can see where the truck is at, which was really nice. The movers themselves were great and were able to complete the move right at the 3 hour mark, which is their minimum. They did a great job with everything. After our terrible experience moving from Long Island, New York to Florida in August of 2022, I was very skeptical of any and all moving companies. That said, I did extensive research and narrowed it down to a few companies. Alvaro was very patient with my excessive paranoia and in the end, we chose Powerloaders! He did not disappoint!! We had PowerLoaders do our move today and they did an amazing job. The communication from start to finish was great. I was given a call to go over the quote and get more information once I confirmed that I was interested in using their services. I was also notified a few days before and also the day before to reconfirm that I was still wanting them to move for me. I also really appreciated that they required no deposit beforehand and allowed you to pay them after the move was done. We did a simple move within Boca (15 mins between locations). I did a request on yelp and it was sent to various movers but PowerLoaders price was very reasonable ($395 for 3 hours for 3 guys). If you are organized and have all your things ready for them to move out, it will go very fast and smooth. The 3 guys that came today were all very nice, efficient and hard workers. With Covid, I was concerned about whether or not they would wear masks and they all did from start to finish. The movers were very careful with our things and also made sure that they didn't bump things against the walls or doors. They wrapped our kitchen table with a moving blanket to protect it from scratching and also helped us put it together at the new house. I would not hesitate to recommend them if you are looking for someone to move your things especially if you are just doing a local move. They were done within 1 1/2 hours from start to finish. I would not recommend Power Loaders as the owner is rude and not honest. We used them last year, and even though they increased the pricing by about 35% compared to the previous year, they wanted to charge me for an additional hour due to their mistake. I had our move scheduled for 10 AM, but the movers showed up at 8:45 AM. They start charging from the second they pull up to your building--not when they park, not when they are in the loading dock, or when they are in your unit, but the second they arrive at the building. I told them the move was scheduled for 10 AM (due to the elevator schedule). When the move was completed, the owner would not answer my calls. He spoke with his employees for about 30 minutes in Spanish (which I found extremely disrespectful). When one of his movers gave me the phone, the owner was rude, claiming it was my mistake and that I misunderstood someone. I had everything in writing, and he was the only person I had been communicating with. When I made it clear I would not pay more and gave them the money before the movers left, he called them again and spoke with them for another 30 minutes in Spanish. It was clear he expected more and told them to stay in my unit. I find this behavior dishonest, rude, and beyond unprofessional. To make matters worse, they damaged my belongings. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this moving company. read more

I figured this out as I was moving out and it was difficult to disassemble. I still do not recommend this company. Powerloaders gave us a quote for their services and we're very transparent about their costs. However we had a few issues. Our move was scheduled for 9am and we had our elevator reserved for this time. The movers did not show up until 10. We were called at 9:12 and informed that they would be late because of a meeting. The movers (3 men) did a decent job of protecting and moving our items into the truck, however it seemed like they were taking as long as possible to do so. We were past the 3 hour mark before leaving our first location. We moved from a 1Bed 1Bath and other movers (2 men) we've hired in the past did the same job in half the time. I suspect they were told to milk the clock, but due to a language barrier, it was difficult to communicate with the team. It got to a point where my partner and I started moving items ourselves to keep the process going. I wouldn't be too upset about this but we've slowly started to find items that have been damaged cosmetically or otherwise during the move, so their extra time didn't amount to much. The drive to our new home was 1 hour. My partner and I arrived within 55 minutes and I'm guessing they must have stopped for lunch or something because it took the movers over 2 hours to get there. Even with a heavy truck, there is a lot of time unaccounted for. We did our best to keep the movers hydrated and fed and offered them food and water throughout the process. The next day we found the water bottles we'd given them crushed and left in the bushes of our new home. This was disappointing and generally disrespectful. Overall, the move took nearly 7 HOURS to complete. Mind you we did not have an exorbitant amount of stuff to move, but we had many plants--several of which were handled very carelessly towards the end and damaged as well. When it came time to pay, we were handed a phone and spoke to the owner Alvaro who put us in the awkward position of being asked how the job was. Not wanting to be rude in front of the movers, I didn't mention my frustrations with the job they'd done and was promptly asked to provide my card information over the phone. Overall this job cost us $1093 due to how long they took. Other companies we spoke with quoted us approximately 5 hours for a move like ours, but we ended up paying for nearly 7. I will not be using their services in the future, and I recommend looking elsewhere for movers. read more

Power loaders were recommended to us by our realtor for our recent move, and we are so glad she did! Alvaro came over in advance to give us a quote for the packing and the move and we were all set to go. The team showed up right on time to start packing us up. We were moving a 2/2 and the three gentlemen had all of the boxes done in 3 hours or so. A couple of days later 4 men came back for the move. They showed up right on time, and got us out of our old place and into the new in 8 hours total. Not only were they pleasant, they were so detail oriented, and not a thing was broken or scratched. My appointment was at 9am and they were in front at 8:56, I was was concerned like in other companies they will run the clock out to charge more but they were done 2 minutes before the 3rd hour. This guys did not stop for a second! I had heavy items on a 3rd floor and they just keep going up and spent those stairs like they were flat! Great personnel and attention! It is important to note that I had all my stuff Boxed and Wrapped in order to save time and if you are looking to do the same I believe Power Loaders will do beyond you expectation. Great communication from the start so kudos to the front office people for ensuring everything is running smoothly. The move team was amazing, they disassembled our beds and other furnishings. They packed/wrapped everything including all furniture, TVs, mirrors, big green egg, etc. and loaded their truck up for the 1 hour drive. Once they got to my new house, they carefully unloaded everything, reassembled all my furniture items, unpack the TVs, and then cleaned up all of the packing material they used. This was the easiest move I have ever had and this was mostly due to the great team at PowerLoaders. If you want your move done right, then you can't go wrong with these guys. This company was able to help me out with exactly what I was looking for. I needed to move some things from my office to my house. The movers were extremely professional, and on time. They even helped protect my valuable furniture with wrapping and blankets. And didn't nickel and dime me for everything. They were 5 minutes early and super fast! Moved my small 1 bedroom apartment out in 30 minutes, the whole move from Midtown to Kendall took 2 hours. They did hit the intercom at my front gate with their truck, but that's mostly because of the bad lighting of my new entrance. Price included 3 men and 1 big truck for 3 hours. Edit: only took me a few months to realize that they had re-built my very expensive queen sized bed wrong, which caused the frame to snap and the bed to break. Explains how they moved so fast. As previously mentioned, drivers did major damage to my entrance gate by scraping the side of the truck along the intercom, permanently breaking it without once acknowledging their mistake. Luckily my neighborhood doesn't have cameras, or I would have been liable for the repair. A year later, my neighborhood's gate is still broken and my mom hired this same company without first consulting me, and we experienced 8 hours of disorganized h*ll in which the movers didn't come prepared with dolley's and so went on a 2 hour expedition to pick up some from another location as well as transferring all of my belongings into a separate, more appropriately sized truck halfway through the move. A move that should have taken maximum 4 hours took twice as long, with the owner constantly complaining about his own employees rather than offering any apology nor accepting fault. He said he would discount us for the lost time as "charity" for the 2.5 hours that we sat waiting, but since we live in an apartment building with strict moving rules I was forced to fight with 2 different leasing offices in order to get them to extend their moving hours more than two hours past their cut off. Clearly the owner is in over his head with employees that he cannot depend on, as our extremely stressful day ended with the owner yelling at me and my mom for his own negligence. Save yourself the stress and hire another company. read more
