Cutely Decorated for Upcoming Valentine's Day! (01/15/22)

Enticing interior. Wonderful service. My gift load from Lula's gets larger every time with having tasted their new products. Time after time, I"ve brought back hand-made Plain, Chocolate, & Licorice Caramels; Milk Macadamia Turtles; and, boxes of their signature Sea Salt Caramels Chocolates. Added now, S'mores and Molded Golf Balls. One stop shopping it is with my return to Dallas and NYC! CHEERS!

So grateful to my hotel for gifting us a bag of their salty caramels. I prefer no salt but I'm hooked on the BUTTERY taste! We've seen Lula's sold at specialty stores like the Pebble Beach Visitor Center but here there is more variety and cheaper prices. Handmade in Monterey in small batches, you can see and taste the fine quality. The store looks like a charming, nautical-inspired gift shop. I bought a Dark Chocolate Rocky Road bar with Macadamia Nuts, Caramel Toffee, a bag of Salted Caramels and a variety pack of Caramel sticks. I think my favorite is the Rocky Road, the chocolate alone! The Toffee was 10% off for being past the freshness date but that's in another month! The employee was friendly, courteous and justifiably proud of the chocolates. They sell cards as well as these chocolates make great gifts, which you can also buy on their website, www.lulaschocolates.com. Come see why they were voted best Chocolate Shop in 2021!

I was at the Crossroads for an Elite Yelp Event and walked by a chocolate store days before Valentine's day. Say what?!! Had to come in and take a look at what they were offering. Sometimes these speciality chocolate shops can be not worth it. This store IS WORTH IT! Loads of yummy chocolate choices for yourself or someone special. They had a variety of boxes and chocolate products to choose from. From sea salt carmels to dark and milk chocolate. Big boxes, little boxes, chocolate flowers, single pieces of candy, etc. All priced within any type of budget. I purchased two small 4 piece boxes as gifts. They came with a little phamplet telling you all the information regarding the chocolates inside. I was fortunate enough to share a piece from each box with the recipients. Yummy! Worth a stop by when you are in the area. Happy Yelping.

Nothing beats Lulas chocolate confection. Whether you prefer you chocolate solo, or paired with almonds, or toffee or as truffles, Lulas is bound to have your tastes covered. They are always generous with their samples.

Incredible sea salt chocolate caramels. Nice gift packs of various sizes to take as a hostess gift or a treat to give to family or office.

(Which is saying something, because between Morro Bay, Cayucos, and Cambria there are quite a few candy shops) Their fudge is unparalleled. While the harmony ice cream is not my favorite, I very much appreciate the fact that they have local ice cream and the portions were a good size at a good price. The staff is exceptionally nice, especially the owner who has been working most of the times we have been there. She's one of those people who is so genuine that you can instantly feel it. I also wanted to add an additional comment kind of in response to a one star review that was left from an exchange that happened while I was eating ice cream just outside the shop. A family with some kids were in the shop and they came out and went to leave but one of the little boys ran up to this cute giant teddy bear serving as the shop's "mascot" and punched it right in the face. It was a slower part of the day business-wise and so the owner saw the kids do this and went outside to ask why the kid punched her bear. The comment claims that she yelled at them, but this was simply not true. She did raise her voice, but it was because the family had already made it to the end of the block. She didn't say anything rude, she just asked why he did that and said it wasn't very nice. (This may be my personal opinion, but if your kid likes to punch animals, even if they're fake, I'd be seriously worried about what kind of person this kid will become.) A few minutes later the woman with the child came back and started yelling (yes this was yelling) at the employee for treating them like it. Never once did she apologize. Never once did she have her kid apologize. She just let her kid learn that yelling at employees was the correct response for being called out on something you did. I cannot believe the nerve of some people. After she "karen-ed" at the owner and left, I went inside to reassure the owner that she was in the right and hopefully offer some encouragement (at least as much as a stranger customer could). I could tell she was deeply bothered by the exchange with the Karen, and I don't blame her. It sucks when your words are twisted against you and your business integrity is questioned. Sending all of my positive energy and vibes to this business and the employees there. Wishing you a Karen-free rest of your summer! Tl;dr: this candy shop is the best on the central coast. Don't pay attention to the few negative reviews, they're from Karens.

I filled out the order form, and the kind gentleman working at the deli let me know they were out of the hot chicken. No big deal at all. I asked if he had any recommendations, and he suggested the tri tip. I hadn't even noticed it was one of the options, so I was actually glad he pointed it out! I told him to make it however he thought it would taste best since I'm not a picky eater, and he absolutely delivered. The tri tip sandwich was so good! It was packed with flavor, the meat was tender and delicious, and the bread was just right. It ended up being such a great choice, and I'm so glad I took his recommendation. The sandwiches were made quickly, and the customer service was outstanding. He was so attentive, acknowledging everyone who came up to the deli counter while keeping orders moving efficiently.
