A friend recommended this cute little shop in Carmel and I was happy to visit when I was in town. We actually had tried to go the day before but there was a sign that said they were doing inventory, so we went the next day. When we told the guy working there he said, "if that happens again where we are temporarily closed, you can just call us and we will come by." I thought that was really cool - most businesses would not offer something like that! They have a good selection of flavored nuts - both sweet and savory flavors. One of the things that is great is that you can sample anything before buying and all the samples are contained in a hygienic way. We ended up getting some cashews and almonds though everything we tasted was delicious. I also noticed it's right near this really fancy looking pool area that would be nice to sit at during warmer weather. read more

Is this a scam operation? Placed an online order for over $80 for various family members. They took my money 3/24, let me know my shipment was delayed 3/31 and have not replied to either email or text since (I originally posted this April 4) Update: Some people may not be cut out to run a business. Once my review posted, the owner called me numerous times until he reached me in person (after not responding to my prior communications). Based on the above review, which are simply statements of facts; he complained to me that I had "personally hurt him" with my review. My review is a complete statement of fact: fact -- I place an order and a week later was told by email it would be delayed for a murky reason (that the owner admitted in fact was not even a correct reason of what happened). fact -- I tried 2x to reach the company with no reply. I told them in a third communication that I would let IG and my bank know about the transaction, which by then (11 days after I place the order and was billed) seemed to me to be a fraud, and I posted the above original review. Please note I do not make the review personal, I do not comment on the product -- which I have still not received -- and I do not comment on him. I comment on the process: lack of communication with a customer who has paid and expects either receiving the product or responses to communications asking where is the product. Does anyone disagree? Now I feel I will have to throw away the items I purchased, based on the emotional response of the owner -- I cannot be sure someone didn't spit in my order. read more

8/27/22- The Nut Hut local owned business is a hidden gem in Carmel. All their nuts are organic and delicious. Totally love the fact that most of the nuts are lightly flavored. Snack on nuts instead of a chips! Besides their delicious nuts, the TNH has amazing nut bowls and other accessories Great recyclable packaging perfect for gifts. Definitely returning to TNH next time we visit Carmel. read more

Cute open place on a pretty patio, that offers free samples of different flavored nuts. There are dozens of flavors and he also has locally sourced salts with flavors for sale. The gentleman that runs The Nut Hut is very nice. He also had some sunflower seeds. We ended up getting onion and sea salt cashews for our kiddo, and then maple glazed almonds and sea salt macadamias to share with each other. read more

Outstanding service. Google recommended this as a grocery. I called to see if they had a product and the owner clarified they weren't a grocery. He then proceeded to find the product I was looking for and texted me the address of where I cools find it. The next day I intentionally visited him to say thanks and patronize the shop. Great service, delicious dried fruits without sulfur, lovely nuts and darling pieces for entertaining and cooking. I purchased my mother a set of serving pieces for Mother's Day. Came here with two friends for the first time to buy some souvenirs for my family. Blaine, one of the owners of The Nut Hut, was there to assist us and answer any questions we had. He patiently explained the different types of nuts they sold, and gave us some great recommendations. He even gave us some samples to take home and try (in the most adorable tiny jars) when he noticed we were interested in some of the other products (the cocoa dusted almonds and chocolate covered cranberries he gave us to sample were both delicious!). I really appreciate how they found a way for customers to sample the nuts while still following Covid precautions and safety guidelines. :) The store also sells artisan dishware (tea cups, saucers, napkin holders, trays, etc.), which my friends bought for pretty reasonable prices. Blaine even took the time to check each of the gifts we selected for scratches/imperfections before ringing us up and packaging them, showing great care and attention to detail. Going back to the nuts (the most important part of this review haha), most of the chocolate covered and cocoa-dusted nuts they sold were $15-$18 which was a very reasonable price considering they're organic, gluten free, and taste amazing! I don't think you can go wrong with any of the nuts/confections they sell, and I wish I had tried the samples before I left the area since I would have definitely gone back and bought more. My family really loved the dark chocolate espresso beans and the dark chocolate covered cashews I brought back. It's a wonderful nut/confection shop to visit if you're ever in the Carmel area, with great customer service and delicious chocolate-covered nuts. Great place if you're looking to buy something unique to bring home as a souvenir, or if you want some yummy nuts to snack on! read more
