Wow! What a great find IMO on our last day in Carmel! We have been to Carmel quite often but never knew of Carmel Valley Creamery. I'm so glad we decided to come and try it! In terms of coffee, we got a vanilla latte as well as a matcha (I had it sweetened) and both were so good. We also chose a cheese, rustic bakery crackers, and a popsicle for the kids. There is a cute inside space and outside space. We enjoyed our food there and it was lovely. Everyone is right, all the pastries were sold out by the time we arrived! We finally stopped in to the CV Creamery to check it out and get a coffee. The is a super cool business in a rich Carmel Valley historic building which makes this business resonate with me. We ordered lattes to go. The coffees were made very well and we liked the coffee bean supplier the creamery uses. We walked around the store while our coffees were being made. They weren't making any cheese the morning we stopped by, but there are viewing windows that enable watching while they are making cheese. You can also view into their cheese aging area. It's super cool. They have lots of specialty items and cheese in refer cases, for purchase as well as Ad Astra bakery breads and pastries. We picked up our favorite breadsticks, pretzels, and Ad Astra granola. Trust me, I dare you to not walk out of the creamery with just a cup of coffee. The creamery is a great addition to what the village has to offer. I'm so glad this business, is giving life to this fun historical building, and serving great coffee, in our great little town. read more

My friend love this place and highly suggested that we come here. She loves the mocha latte here. I came here to grab some the day of New Year's and they were open, which was amazing. My friend says unusual day they sell out of everything by 10 AM or so. We got here around 9 AM and there were still plenty in the pastry shelf. We tried a few things I got a couple of croissants, chocolate, croissant, cinnamon bun, and coffee cake. I also tried their sticky bun latte along with a jasmine green tea and two mocha lattes. Overall, everything was really good. The coffee cake wasn't my favorite, I will say but the cinnamon bun was really really good. It was fluffy and the perfect amount of sweetness. Overall, a really cute space. They also sell other items in here, including cheese and ceramics. I would definitely like to come back during the summertime to try some of their cold drinks. Sticky my latte was OK a little bit sweeter than I had expected less coffee flavor. I definitely want to go back and try some more. They also have an iced sugar cookie latte! read more

Where does one even begin with a gem like this place? I love the patio--maybe a little too much. It's the kind of spot that makes you want to linger. Today, I had the chai, and I'm coming back for more. It was smooth and comforting, without all those unpleasant, overly sweet flavors. A true little escape anytime of the day. We found this little gem while passing through Carmel Valley Village while looking for a quaint, "local" coffee shop. The place was packed with mostly tourists when we arrived, but once the crowd disappeared we were left with everything we were looking for. Good coffee, excellent cheese and friendly people running the place. We will be back. read more

We had high Hopes and headed there today with the mental picture of the cheese shop in Carmel with a coffee shop to boot. Figured a little cheese tasting followed by a coffee and cake or even better, a cheese board for lunch would really hit the spot.. In practice they had a fridge with only 3 cheeses on one shelf, no tasting, no cheese board in sight. my wife actually asked them 'I thought this was a cheese shop as we were totally confused. They seem really nice and it was busy so perhaps full of future promise. Unfortunately for today we skipped into the car and drive back home disappointed. We ventured out from Pebble today to visit the Creamery and unfortunately it disappointed. While there were lovely products (many local) to purchase both utilitarian and edible, the availability of fresh to eat product was rather limiting as was the customer service. We came expecting to take home more cheese products which paled in options. No one acknowledged our presence at arrival with a hello, welcome to Carmel Creamery, may I assist you with anything or upon departure like thank you for visiting us today. We did purchase some cheese and ice cream, as we whole heartedly vow to support our local businesses. Hopefully on our next visit, there will be more cheeses to take home - and maybe ownership will value those that support your place of business. read more

Owned and operated by its lovely French owner, this charming spot offers handmade cheeses, local honey, hand crafted baguettes, coffee, tea, and a variety of other gourmet food products.
