I read on Yelp that some people experienced rude baristas, so I anticipated exhausted, jaded servers when we grabbed coffee that late afternoon. The service was quite lovely, actually. Every time we visited the establishment, there was a line. Long lines do not deter me, as it only reinforces that there is a greater chance the product has been vetted as highly desirable. We ordered the strawberry cheesecake bun and the matcha strawberry beverage. Since it was later in the day, the bread in the bun was not as soft. I saw that they have an open kitchen and make everything in-house. The strawberry cheesecake bun had thick cheesecake frosting on top and a sliced strawberry. I dipped the sliced hard bun bread into the frosting and found this a worthy solution to distract from the stiffness. The matcha strawberry drink was refreshing and effective in waking me up. The next day, we arrived early and saw fresh cinnamon buns taken out of the oven. We ordered this, and I tried the Island Boi drink. The cinnamon bun was perfectly hot, soft, and delicious. I'm sure if we arrived earlier the previous day, the strawberry cheesecake bun would've been too. I found the Island Boi drink adequate. All the baristas were lovely, friendly, and thoughtful.
