My wife has been coming here for years so on our latest trip to KF we decided this would be our supper treat. It is still a little locals' gem. The service was quick, the food was hot and delicious. The crinkle cut fries are real good (I just wish folks that served crinkle cuts would let them get a little crispier, but that's everywhere, not just here), the onion rings excellent, and the brawny burgers are both brawny and tasty. The burger was cooked perfectly but most importantly the bacon was extra crispy it leads me to think they may have deep fried which I think is a cook's secret to crispy bacon on a hamburger. My husband and I had a burger craving and saw this as we drove through town. Normally you get the best things when you see a little local shop like this. We had high hopes when we walked to the door and it said 'No Masks, No Service'. We are in the middle of a pandemic after-all and it is a mandate that masks be worn. We ordered our food and sat down to wait for it to be ready. The tables were separated so that was also a nice deal. I love to watch people and am probably too observant. One employee behind the counter actually did the mask bit right. The other employees all had their masks either under their noses or around their necks, including the one preparing the meals. (all the employees that day were females) Multiple customers came in without a mask even in sight and were all served. ALL of those people seemed to be locals since they knew other customers in the restaurant and all walked around to talk to them. The food got to us and it was good. Husband said burger was a solid 'A' and I had a BLT and it was ok, but not a tun of flavor. The fries were great and the fry sauce was super tasty. So my take-away from this is: Food was pretty good, and service was friendly and quick. Health Safety was not taken serious and they needed to step-up to protect the population they serve. Don't put a sign on the door if you aren't going to enforce it. We would probably go back again if we are in town and not in the middle of a pandemic. read more

We ate lunch here while in Klamath Falls based on a recommendation from someone at the airbase. Service was nice when we ordered our food, and the order came out correctly. The burger wasn't bad, but the bacon on the burger was very thin. The fries did come out hot and they were good. The dining area could have been much cleaner. We ended up asking for a towel so we could clean off a table before we sat down, and it didn't appear that anyone was assigned to watch the dining area. Also, the entire interior just seemed dated. Contrary to some other reviews, both the burger and fries were hot. So why 2 stars instead of 4? I believe I ordered a basic burger, fries and drink to go. When taking the order, the girl asked if I wanted onions and tomatoes. Onions and tomatoes are pretty basic toppings, and I genuinely like them both on my basic burger, so I said yes. Then the jaw-dropper: The girl was kind enough to inform me that the onions were free....BUT THE TOMATO SLICE WOULD BE 40 (forty) cents extra. Honestly? Is there a tomato shortage Davids can blame on Covid? Should I have brought my own tomato from home and sliced it up? The girl behind the counter obviously was used to customers being taken back by an extra 40-cent charge so that's why she warned me. I'm giving the girl 5 stars. But Davids is lucky to get 2. And I'm not coming back to Davids until such time David..or whoever owns Davids can figure out that simple burger toppings like a tomato slice come with the burger. And this isn't all. If you want a burger joint that serves the best hamburgers than go here. They were great! There was a nice variety of menu items. The deep fried mushrooms were yummy. They appear to be very popular. Now the inside of the cafe could use a lot of upgrading and the ceiling obviously had water damage and a bucket on the floor to catch any water dripping. No signs out warning of slipping on their potential wet floor. Tables were dirty and floors needed swept and mopped. Makes me wonder what kind of condition the kitchen is in. Yikes. Sometimes you just want a basic burger and fries without anything fancy. When travelling, I prefer to look up a burger place the locals prefer and skip the fast food joints. We were on our way through Oregon and pulled off the road for something to eat and drove right past Brawny Burger - a burger restaurant with lots of customers - that looked like it was from the 70s. That was exactly what I was looking for and after a quick check on Yelp, we dropped in. The menu does not make it obvious what the difference is between a regular burger and a brawny burger is but the price for the brawny was not much more so I ordered that. I added some tater tots. Other people in my group ordered a shake, more burgers and a fish sandwich. The burger tasted better than I expected. The fry sauce came with each burger in a cute little plastic cup but the burger had plenty of mayo, mustard and ketchup so were ate the fry sauce with the taters. You get a lot of taters for around two dollars! It is a great fry sauce - like something you would make at home in a pinch for burger night. read more

Great burgers...BUT WHATS UP WITH THE STINGY KETCHUP...I don't want fry sauce with mayo and you put 8 cups on my tray. I want ketchup and my wife and I eat a lot of it. I ask for a lot and your employee says I can have 2 when I push I am told I am limited to 6. Since your using 1st street ketchup from smart foodservice at 1000 packets for $18.67 a case that's $.018 per packet. Less than 2 CENTS... The 8 cups of fry sauce I am throwing away cost you more. Please just allow people to have all the ketchup they will truly eat and maybe I will come back. But for now that's not happening. And yes if you really want to step it up to 1st class make sure you have Heinz Ketchup. Lol. Poorly seasoned or fried in the wrong fat, these should have been delicious and frankly if it wasn't for the great fry sauce, they wouldn't have been worth eating. 4 stars for a great burger joint.
