Believe the hype! People were lined up to buy before the truck even arrived. These are the biggest & probably the best tamales I've ever had! A lot of moist filling so you don't end up eating a bunch of masa. The masa is good enough to eat by itself. A dozen is about $32 plus tax, you can mix different flavors. I got pork, chicken and cicharron. All are really good, the cicharron is a little spicy. Their location changes and is posted on their IG page. Get there early before they sell out! read more

No joke! My favorite fricken tamales! If you haven't had these then you're missing out and I highly recommend this be your stop next time you're in the mood for tamales. Champurrado is good as well but the winners here are the ! There's a perfect balance between filling and masa and all the flavors are great! I would rate 3.5 stars but since there's no half stars I was generous with 4 stars. San fernando Valley Mi Gusta Tamales in Pacoima is what I compare all my tamales and champurrados to. Moving on to review, I'm 8 months pregnant and woke up craving a champurrado. I yelped places before and Lulu's popped up on the search for the first time, 4 plus stars and only 5 min away! Tip: manually type in the cross streets yourself to get to the correct location, I was led somewhere else when I clicked the maps on yelp. Pros: -Champurrado was amazing! I'm a champurrado snob and this is the 2nd best I've ever tasted. Highly recommend. -No line - Friendly staff - Credit, cash, and mobile pay accepted - Red pork tamale was good Cons: -No utensils, salsa, or trays given, just wrapped in a plastic baggy, very minor con but still worth mentioning - Pineapple tamales were bland and tasted like a plain tamale with white rice. Found this gem on wheels while visiting Lancaster CA. The tamales are authentic, fresh, hot, and loaded with good stuff. The chicharrón tamales are a must try! They are spicy and so delicious. The menu has a variety of mouth-watering items to choose from. Friendly customer service. I will definitely return when I'm in the area. They are there till sold out. You wouldn't think that you'd be able to find quality tamales in the middle of Lancaster, but Lulu's says otherwise. They sell out quick and it's for a reason. I highly recommend you grab any of their red tamales, those are the best ones. You'll have to enjoy your tamales back home because this place is a food truck with no seating area. These are probably the best tamales I have ever purchased. We tried chicken, beef, and pork with red and green sauce. Everyone who had them (6 people) said they are some of, if not the best, tamales we have ever had outside of making them ourselves or having family make them. 10/10 would recommend.
