As well as the teen/adult range, the store has a sizeable collection of suits for small children (boys as well as girls) and even some for that dreadful hard-to-fit stage (10-14 yrs). Since they didn't open until 11:30 am for lunch, I took the time to check out each floor to see what stores and restaurants were available. This was a modern looking shopping mall. There were a good variety of stores on each floor. There was a Fitness First gym and Kinokuniya bookstore up on floor 2. There was a nice food gallery with several different choices down in the lower ground level as well as an underground passage over to the Queen Victoria Building. This was a nice place to do a little window shopping, eat some food, or just to hang out with your friends.

I'm not the only fan on the Northern Beaches, that's for sure - Attik is always heaving with women looking for a cute dress for lunch on Saturday, a funky tee for a festival or that perfect pair of denim shorts. The service is smiley and friendly, but not overly attentive. The store itself is packed with clothes from an impressive range of brands, with a range often coming in a heap of different colours - I love that! Don't fancy it in pink? Go yellow! The quality isn't fantastic, but for less than $60 for a dress and less than $40 for a top, it's not exactly shocking. The owner, Phil Roux, and his possy of staff are all keen runners themselves, and so understand the problems and pitfalls associated with running. Rather than matching a customer with a flashy pair of trainers and a hefty price tag, the staff discuss with each customer what they are looking for. They take into consideration the shape of your foot, using plenty of technical terms, before helping you to choose the most appropriate pair. As well as trainers, the shop stocks everything needed for happy feet and running. Stacks of blister plasters, specialised running socks, energy gels and bars, sports clothing, pedometers and heart rate monitors. They sell an impressive range of well-known trainer brands including Brooks, Adidas, Mizuno, Asics and New Balance. This is a brilliant shop which will transform your running life!

I went looking for professional advice about shoes. They sized me up, asked about my running, checked my stride, my balance and pronation, and recommended three different shoes to try. They let me run each pair up and down the mall to try them out. And the prices were actually cheaper than I would have paid online from Rebel Sports for the same shoes. Tops.

I like the clothes, they go for fashionable, feminine, reasonably priced labels like Mink Pink and Ladakh. Vibes also stocks a really nice range of jewellery and, unusually, they have a lovely homewares collection too. This is what makes it stand out amongst the many fashion retail shops on Hall St, and the light atmosphere in the boutique makes for a pleasant shopping experience.
