Worst customer service except for Lulu who greeted us at the door, which is the only reason they are getting a 2 star instead of one. I went there to return items that were purchased online. The cashier made this experience incredibly difficult and tried to get me to set up a profile without explicitly telling me so when I only asked her to run my email address and see if I have one set up. She then kept asking for a receipt when I showed her the order emails without explaining why what I showed her won't work. Finally she's able to confirm the return, she then told us that she would not be able to refund to our PayPal unless we show her the credit card, or this would be a store credit. It's been a difficult experience so far, but what struck me the most was lack of empathy and the nonchalance attitude from the cashier (who appeared to be in charge that day) in the entire process. The cashier even completely ignored me when i said no to store credit and told her because I would never want to spend money in their store after such an experience. Like I said, I will never return to this store again or buy from lululemon for that matter. For this price tag, there are other options out there with way better service and experience. read more

This Lululemon store far more than just a regular storefront. In addition to having a nice selection of both men and women's athletic apparel and fitting rooms, they also offer services and amenities you wouldn't typically expect including garment tailoring/alterations on Lululemon purchases, Mirror home gym demonstrations, studios offering workout classes, a meditation room, locker rooms, a cafe with smoothie bar and the store has both stairway and elevator access to the second floor. There is free parking available through the parking garage off Sheffield, and an elevator that takes you directly into the store. Overall, they seem to have thought of everything with the new concept design and I would recommend visiting this location whenever you're in the Chicago area. read more

Nicolette did a great job with helping me. She went above and beyond finding a specific size in the store. There's like a radar detector that beeps faster when they are close to the item they are looking for which I think is really cool. This store seemed to nail it with the new design, concept, and amenities. It's big but yet quaint and small even though it is two stories. And I was glad to see that the women's section is located on the ground floor instead of making women go to the second floor like some stores will do. At first when I walked in it looked a little overwhelming but I quickly found it very easy to shop and find my way around. The staff I came in contact were helpful. I did venture to the second floor because I wanted to check out the cafe, but it looked closed. They have two studios on the second floor and right now you can get three classes for $30.00 or $15.00 for drop-in class. There's a mediation room and just outside the room along the wall are comfortable cushioned sofa chairs. The Men's section is also upstairs. I had passed by the store when they were doing construction and thought, Another Lululemon store? But the company definitely put some thought into this store's layout and design. Worst customer service ever. I'm not sure who trains the people who work here, but the bare minimum you expect is eye contact when checking out from the cashier. I was exchanging an item for a smaller size, and Kate (the manager?) wasn't going to honor the original price I got the item for for the exchange "cause it's usually a one time discount." Yeah no... I was the only African American person in the establishment and no one acknowledged me or tried to help me when I clearly was looking lost. And even if I wasn't looking lost...no one greeted me when I walked in and I was definitely looking through the aisles for more than 25 minutes so SOMEONE could've come up to me and asked if I was doing okay because I saw two people on the floor who weren't doing anything but asking other people if they were okay. I even connected eyes with one of the employees and still nothing. I don't want to say it was racist but if the shoe fits... I also think it's ironic because they have an inclusivity flag in front of the store. The only reason im giving two stars is because they have a studio and cafe upstairs which I thought was cool. I'm not one to ever leave reviews, but this is the one exception. I went on a weekend not too busy with my family. I see employees greeting everyone left and right. We looked around on the first floor and then the second. I even made eye contact with them. I guess because we are Hispanic nobody wants us there. At least the impression I was left with. The only reason I purchased was to get the parking ticket validated. And to top it off the store is so big, and they don't have enough merchandise. Full transparency, I'm an avid Lululemon fan who has ran the Lululemon Seawheeze half marathon multiple times. That said, this store lived up to all the hype. Here are some highlights: - Locker rooms are stocked with Lululemon and Kiehl's cosmetics. They also have keypad locking lockers available and dyson hairdryers for use. - They offer a 1 week of free class trials. And in August have a promo where if you take 5 classes in August you earn a sweet Chicago metal water bottle - Classes are awesome, so far my favorite has been Hip Hop Yoga - The lounge restaurant has Oat Milk on tap! All of the food options I've tried are healthy & yummy, and can be purchased for takeaway or eat in - The meditation lounge is lovely. I tried the zune meditation too. It was fun to try! - Free parking at the small underground parking lot on Sheffield - Everything you need for classes is provided... mats, yoga towels, weights. And, they have 3 options of Lululemon athletic wear you can try for a class, how cool! Whether you forgot something in your gym bag or are just spontaneously working out, this store has you covered with everything you will need. - Uber Friendly staff. You will be greeted by at least 2 employees...likely even more than that! Definitely a destination store! I'll preface this review by saying that I'm a naturally friendly person with an extensive previous background in customer service. This is the second time I've ever been to this store, and both times it have been this location. Both times I've experienced the same strange aura - akin to foxtrot. Somehow, there is this superiority in the air. I don't aim to be critical, I am just inclined to share these specific experiences as they seem contrary to a business integrated so critically with customer service. I stopped here briefly in search of comfortable and high quality lounge pants. Although I don't believe the price is equal to the quality (definitely a brand induced exorbitant up charge, but that's to be expected), I figured I'd give it a shot. Today I came in wearing a crop top camisole and cloth shorts- I'd left home in a rush and didn't change since my partner was running late. I noticed (what I perceived to be) judgmental glances my way from more than one staff member who passed me by to ask a *different* random customer if they needed help finding anything. In fact, it wasn't until I was upstairs that a guy asked if I needed help, but while downstairs not a single staff member approached me. Typically, I prefer not to be approached because I feel pressured, but I couldn't help but notice that everyone else around me was asked at some point. That was weird but probably meant nothing. I digress. I suppose my point is that I didn't look like someone who was about to spend 200+ on some pants, but I did. If I didn't know any better, I'd even say the fitting room person seemed surprised when I had added a full price pant to the sale pant I initially grabbed... I can't help but think that had I been dressed nicely or put together or maybe more Estonian looking my experience would've been different. For a store that charges what it does for simple clothing, I expect more. I just can't stand these kinds of things knowing that I am pretty much white and navigate through life from a point of inherent privilege - so how would someone less white or more disheveled be treated? To conclude: yep. It's just your classic yuppie white girl brand. Think vineyard vines, fox trot, Vera wang, Starbucks, and you get the idea. It's going to be a one and done for me. read more

I am a Lulu fan and recently visited this new store for the first time after my mom did a 1 week free trial which she really enjoyed while visiting me from out of town. She took a couple meditation classes which she loved -- they definitely recruited some of the best local fitness instructors to train there. She hung out there for hours and even eat lunch there which consisted of a healthy salad. In terms of the shopping/store I really enjoyed the layout -- there was a lot of merch and it was space out nicely. Staff was friendly, even when it was fairly busy. Be prepared to want to buy a whole new wardrobe, eat healthy, and get super zen! read more

I thought we were lucky with our spacious Lululemon stores in Scottsdale but this beautiful new concept store in Chicago definitely has us beat! (and has me eagerly awaiting the announcement that they're building one of these in the Phoenix area soon!!) In addition to emanating a healthy and bright vibe throughout the space, the associates in the store are excellent and their customer service is impeccable. The cafe is bright and simple with elegant and simple decor with lots of seating and room for people to sit and work. One of the tables even has outlets in the middle for convenience! The kombucha on tap is excellent, and the matcha tea I had was piping hot! This lululemon is gigantic. It's so big and pretty inside. You'll find clearance items all around the store. They're not in a designated sale spot. There's also an upstairs that features a cafe that serves drinks and food. There's a gym to work out in. And there's men's clothing on the second floor. There's also an elevator for convenience. Everything in there is going to be pricy but there's a lot of staff all throughout the store, so If you need help, you can just turn a corner and someone will be at your service. They also don't pressure you to buy anything or join their gym, which is nice. read more

I live in Lulu and have been a member for two years. I even had an eight pack of classes to rock here, but after a horrid Fuel Bar experience, I refuse to go back. The hubs and I ordered a latte, selected fancy pants pop tarts, and were asking about the different pastries when another customer walked over and gave us the side eye. I told the girl helping us it was cool to quickly help her since she seemed to be in a hurry, but immediately realized my mistake when the girl waiting didn't even say thank you. Six to seven minutes later there was of course a payment issue where another educator was needed. When the educators returned, they started chatting it up and cooing at her baby. At no point did this woman give two shits that we were there first and were waiting on her to finish up. The educator, who knew we stepped to the side to let this woman go first, ignored me while I just sat there staring at all my delicious selections on the counter that my hungry butt couldn't eat. Then the husband showed up and I got additional side eye since I was expected to move out of the way but didn't (excuse me works, glares don't). After almost fifteen minutes of waiting we were tired of listening to people chat it up like we didn't exist, so we left. I doubt my latte was started, since nothing was said as we walked away. I felt bad leaving what we already selected on the counter, so we let the educators downstairs know what happened and apologized, and they were also apologetic. WARNING!! We parked at the corner lot across the street near Peet's Coffee and were towed! Even if you get coffee there or shop at the stores there, if you leave to go to Lululemon right across the street, you will be towed! We saw no signs due to high growing bushes and there weren't any signs at the door of Lululemon. We had to pay for an Uber to retrieve our car plus the towing fee of $220. When we were waiting at the towing service, 2 other women came right after us and said that the exact same thing happened to them. They, too, saw no signs. We later looked and they are there at the corner, but no where you could see them from the entrance of the lot or when you parked. We all agreed that it would be of great service if Lulu posted some signs on their doors since this is an expensive mistake. read more

Just wanted to write an updated review since my last scathing one since I believe that to be fair things have gotten better since then. I think most of the issues that myself and some others have experienced when it comes to service might just be there are some new and inexperienced employees. I've gone back several times and still regularly do occasionally and I'm starting to recognize some faces that have been there a while and other new ones that don't stick around often. If you happen to run across the latter, then chances are you may not get right answers or get the help you need. For example, I came to do a pickup (order online and pickup in store) and the first person to help me at the counter had to run off and find a manager to ask about the process. Another time when coming in to do some hemming on the pants, the person helping me pin actually had to be walked through the process by the person from the hemming dept. So TLDR; there's a good amount of newbies working here, and you may want to find second opinions or find someone else if the person helping seems a bit green. With that said, this location has a very convenient garage, although you may not want to come in when they have events or classes. And oddly enough despite being by far the largest in terms of sq ft among Lululemon stores in the area, they often will not have the most in stock of items especially compared to some of the stores downtown. read more

They offer several options for drinks - smoothies, kombucha, nitro cold brew, beer, wine and of course an assortment of coffee drinks and tea. Just imagine your typical lulu store but 100xs bigger. I can imagine the company putting these is a bunch of big cities. It's truly amazing if you love lululemon and it's nice they are offering classes and healthy food options for after class. I've never shopped at lululemon but heard nothing but great feedback. Few days ago I attended an event in the store and was very impressed. First of all, when I got invitation I thought to myself, "am I going to be seated in between of new lululemon collection with customers passing by?" To my surprise the store has a coffee shop on the second floor with private meeting room and yoga studio! Very creative way to incorporate spaces in one area. We had a great experience from start to finish. We were welcomed warmly and given a tour of the second floor as we were there for a class. The Get Fit with Giddy class was a lot of fun while being a great workout. Gideon is an excellent instructor who's positivity and personality really helped motivate the room. The locker room was very clean and well stocked. The cafe and the employees working there were friendly and able to help make great suggestions. The retail spaces are the best stocked I've ever seen of any location. They had ample selection and sizing. Yoga, coffee and leggings. What more can you ask for? I'm not that easily impressed but dang Lululemon has really outdone themselves. The workout classes have great variety (it's not just yoga!). They have HITT, sculpt, mediation and foundational training (also love that you don't have to bring your own mat, so convenient). The locker rooms are beautiful: showers with eucalyptus hanging in them, complementary essentials (hair dryers, lotion, hair ties, shaving cream etc etc). The staff is super positive, but in a way that feels genuine. Would definitely recommend trying out some of the classes. For the cafe the latte was spot on and reasonably priced. First-floor customer service is the absolute worst. On two separate occasions, I came in and the associates were super hard to find and were very unpleasant when interacting with. I can usually expect Lululemon associates to be SUPER friendly and super willing to help. Actually I think Lululemon, in general, has had some of the best in-store customer service I have ever experienced. I came in today and there was not one associate to be found on the salesfloor. I had to look around to find someone and when I did, the associate was standing in a random corner in the store. I asked her to help me and she reacted as if I had offended her. Worst customer service ever! I received an email that my order was delivered, but it was NOT delivered. I tried to reach a customer service person at Lululemon and it showed that I had almost a three hour wait. This is unacceptable! This company makes a lot of money. You would think that they would have a better customer service department and take care of their customers. Lululemon did not provide me with a FedEx tracking number, so I can't track my package to find out where it was delivered. BTW... My daughter had the same problem. This new concept is the future of retail. Experienced based shopping. It's a beautiful layout with abundant shopping, a cafe with lots of food and beverage options (including some cocktails), a variety of classes, and a very sleek meditation room. The locker rooms are also well thought out with all the essentials you might need to prepare for the rest of your day. Rachel did an amazing job giving us a tour of the facilities.
