Although our city may be going up Schitt's creek with this administration, Workshop Apothecary is as cool as their lil shop. What an awesome mix of sip, and shop. This is a nice addition to the hood with local crafts and gifts, coffee, and health products. There's some seating area to drink coffee and relax. They feature Intelligentsia coffee, one of the few places south where I can fond it. Pop in for a tour.

While this is an apothecary, my review is for the coffee. I happened upon this place that is right next door to Aloha Wagon. After stuffing myself with a great Hawaiian lunch, I needed some coffee. The latte here is superb. They have a great menu of coffee and tea. I am surprised the very limited hours of this place. I would think that they would get significant traffic, being near the El stop. This place is definitely worth checking out if they are open.

    An apothecary indeed.

Wow. Really interesting vibes. For the space, items on the menu seem to be priced fairly. I had their lavender lemonade and a dirty rose chai. Lemonade was not tart and stayed on the sweeter, sugary side but definitely was fresh. Not sure if you can score some latte art here, but it'd be a sweet plus. Limted seating. A rather interesting location, but it sure helps that they're mutually close to Aloha Truck, which serves amazing Hawaiian food. The coffee shop is also right next to a pink line station making it rather accessible to commuters. A place worth visiting if you're in the area.

No response to my 2 internal request for a quote, I have to email you. Then your own deadline isn't met." Then Nicole asked me question some that I already answered in my initial requests. Clearly, no attentiveness or attention to detail. Sent me their basic cookie cutter event stuff. I didn't want their cookie cutter display stuff from their website. I wanted a quote for something unique. I answered her email questions then an Ali responses saying "Nicole is out of the office until Monday." She went on to tell me "12 days is enough for us to accommodate your requests." I don't think they could handle my request. As Nicole previously stated, "I sincerely apologize for the delay and completely understand your frustration. You're right that I had given you a timeline, and I'm sorry that I wasn't able to meet it or communicate the delay with you sooner. We are currently in the height of our busiest season, and our response and proposal lead times have unfortunately been longer than usual. That being said, I should have kept you updated rather than leaving you waiting. I am working on your decks and will have it over to you today. I really appreciate your patience and apologize again for the frustrating experience." I asked for the CEO, or person in charge of the business, and I was ignored. Again, why would I use this company? Why would you?

Our sales consultant, Gretchen, albeit a bit abrasive, was super responsive. Once we entered into a contract, the majority of our interface was with Kate who was awesome. The bar service at our event was fabulous - the service was seriously on point! Only constructive feedback we'd provide is around their client management cycle - we wish it was clearer to us sooner that she was our main point of contact - their transition of communication from Gretchen to Jim to Kate was slightly confusing. It also felt like the forms we had to fill out and send back were cumbersome and a repetitive, especially as compared to some of our other vendors, like our production company and photographer, where everything was electronic and super smooth.

This is a small, intimate avenue in Chicago that hosts concerts, opera, and plays. There really isn't a bad seat in the venue! We were able to snag one of the larger opera boxes, which I highly recommend, especially if you're going with friends. Ours was on the left side and perfectly angled toward the stage, so we were incredibly close. The box seats up to six people and they even provide water for you, which was a nice touch. The venue also has a bar area and a balcony. For this show, the balcony was general admission. There are four large balcony boxes and two smaller two-person boxes, which would be super cute for a date or going with a friend. The staff were extremely friendly, and parking was surprisingly easy! We found street parking within about five minutes. They do serve food and drinks, though we didn't get any this time. Overall, the show was intimate, fun, and such a great experience. If I come back for another concert at Thalia Hall, I'll definitely try to get an opera box again.
