Tried to return pants that had material that looked blotchy after washing. Manager ( she refused to tell me her name ) would not return , refund or credit. So disappointed. Had just purchased a $500 gift card for my daughters bday and will be disputing it now for a refund They advertise "all quality promise ". This could not be further from the truth. So disappointing. Super frustrating. I had the receipt that the item was purchased three weeks ago. After washing them the quality was obvious that they do not wash well at all and come out blotchy. The manager tried to tell me that that was the material and I said there should've been a label on it telling you that that's the normal wear of the material and she said that there was but then when I asked her to show me a pair in the store that had that tag on it she couldn't produce anything telling a consumer that the material does that. She refused to tell me her name she refused to tell me the store managers schedule so I could come in when the store manager was there to address it. Lululemon should never advertise that they stand behind their items when you go online and see that it's a case by case basis and up to their discretion and obviously this person did not want to stand behind their item. I visited the lululemon in The Grove in Shrewbury, NJ for the first time the other day, and I am sure it will be the last time I do so. Whether it's with intention or not, lulu has the position of catering to fit, confident women, of which I'm not, and the interaction I had as a first timer will have me back with the friendly Old Navy staff 10-times over instead. Surprisingly, I find it rare to be so off-put by service and retail employees and having a history of being one myself, I am mindful to try to find what I need before I ask a question. I went to the store because my friend, a Lulu manager at a store across the country, sent me a gift of my first ever Align leggings. Unfortunately, they were too short, so she told me to go to a local store to swap them out. Easy enough, right? I went in, searched for my size and didn't see them, so I found the one of four women working that would make eye contact with me. I asked her for help and she was kind enough and prompt in understanding my need. She told me because it was considered an employee exchange (all of my friends information was on the print out that came with the original package), she needed to get her manager. The manager, whose name I didn't get because to simply ask her a question seemed like it would've ruined her day, was working on Monday, May 16 just around 6p. She was quite literally huffing and puffing through her frustration that I simply could not exchange these leggings and that it was basically tough luck that my friend sent them to me and spent her money on it - and as we know, a discount on Align leggings is still a pretty penny. Her dismissiveness was astounding - I stood there, computing what was happening because I didn't understand why there wouldn't be an alternative to ship me another pair-I had also told the original associate I was going to have her run another transaction to add a second pair of leggings at full price, of course, because I liked them so much. The manager, who was so shrill looking down but of course not at me, was furiously scribbling down information on a post it, and I asked "I'm sorry, are you taking down my friends information? She works for this company, I don't want to get anyone in trouble." And she smugly said she had to report it and every employee knows protocol during their orientation. For the record, the discount my friend used was a company wide authorized initiative for Mother's day offered to ALL employees, including the employees of this store, NOT her personal employee discount. I left, not empty handed, but with leggings that are too short (anyone want them...?) but fully confident that they won't see me over there again. The lack of respect for me as someone who's newly acclimating to your brand. The lack of respect for my friend, your essential teammate, for liking her company's product so much to send a gift for a milestone in my life. This may not get to Lulu corporate, but just advising you if you plan on visiting this location - know your size, get what you need to exchange, don't go to crazy with the pleasantries because you won't be getting them back and certainly don't go in there if you're not feeling confident - because shopping for clothes to wear for comfort and for athletics is personal to some. RIP to the lululemon grove location. This used to be my go, as I've frequented this location since it opened. It seems that the fabulous staff that used to work there before the pandemic has been replaced with rude and condescending sales associates. I used enjoy the on-site shopping experience, the last few times I could not leave fast enough. Honestly I won't even go here for returns. Don't waste your time or sacrifice your sanity. read more

My Mom is a nurse and came here last week to purchase pants since lululemon is nice enough to offer a discount to first responders. She mentioned wanting to get her daughter a gift and when she went to purchase the sales girl wouldn't let her because she mentioned she was also shopping for her daughter. She was so rude to my mom that she left in tears. My mom is a first responder! She then went to freehold where they were more than accommodating and thanked her for her service. I went in this weekend to get an outfit to celebrate losing 50 pounds. I told a sales person this, and she was incredibly helpful and patient and informative. Everyone in the store seemed genuinely happy to help me with anything. At the end of my visit, their kindness and generosity almost brought me to tears (what they did is a secret for me and them!). My husband purchased a vest and 2 pairs of socks totaling $180 for me on Dec. 23. The gal asked my husband if he would like gift receipts. He said yes. I did not care for the vest and wanted to return it. However, he was not given a regular receipt, only gift receipts. The gal at the register pulled up his transaction with his phone number, and understood it was likely he did not receive a regular receipt. However, gifts receipts ONLY allow for exact exchange. In most other stores gift receipts are given along with the regular receipt. This policy of only giving gift receipts basically makes your purchase a final sale, because a store credit will NOT be issued. I couldn't find anything I liked so we took the items back home. I need to exchange them before Jan. 24. Maybe they'll get some new inventory in. What a huge let down. Won't be shopping in this store again. read more

Had a great shopping experience here today! The staff was open, friendly and very helpful. I needed some new workout gear to inspire me, and a stop at lululemon was the answer! I hadn't shopped at this store before, but I was very comfortable asking questions, and the staff was very attentive.
