I recently went and purchased new skis and boots. They are highly knowledgeable and I've never had a more comfortable ski boot. I have extremely wide feet, sport spot worked with me to find the right ski boot. It took a couple of visits of heating the boot up to stretch it but , my feet have never been happier. The boot standard was 102mm wide my foot needed 118mm. I've skied for 30 years with painful boots, no more thanks to sport spot. Anyone with wide feet this is the place to go for ski boots you wont be disappointed. read more

I DO NOT RECOMMEND this place. Worst experience ever. I had them wax and sharpen my skis. They were in perfect condition. After their service I found multiple large scratches on the skis.The scratches were found on both skis. When I complained to them about the service, they were really rude and even refused to look at my skis to see the damage. read more

Last summer when my tween daughter needed a bathing suit for her swim team, she was fat shamed by a tone-deaf employee. I am unsure if it was done deliberately but it was certainly careless and thoughtless. My daughter was humiliated. PS, my daughter was one of the fastest swimmers in her age group, something generally not associated with being overweight. read more

SPORT SPOT, Shrewsbury, NJ Not Good Business. I bought a team swim suit for my child at Sport Spot. I specifically asked for a bigger size than what my daughter had last year. The sales person said that my daughter would still fit her old size. I had to insist on trying on a bigger size and I was right. So I ordered a bigger size with team logo. Almost 4 wks later I get my order and it's the smaller size with the team logo and not the bigger size I had requested. I called the store and I told them my dilemma. The sales person said they had the smaller size in their order books. I told them I specifically ordered a bigger size and my receipt has the requested size printed on it. The sales person said she would look in the back if they had the size I'm looking for but they cannot do anything about the team logo. They did have my preferred size in the back, probably the one my daughter tried on when I initially ordered. Now I have to go back to the store and exchange for a suit that now doesn't have the team logo. My issue is there was no sense of responsibility on their part. There was no apology for their mistake. That is not good good customer service and I will definitely tell the parents in the swim team as well as other people I know. One would think after I stated the right size is printed on the receipt that there would be an apologetic tone over the phone. But no. I need my daughter's swim suit for a meet the next day. Unfortunately I have to go back to the store and get the swim suit with no team logo. A parent's word of mouth regarding where they get their children's clothing, equipment etc is excellent advertisement. I hope this is helpful. read more

I was really impressed by the Sport Spot's staff expertise and great service when I was looking to upgrade my tennis racquets. As with so much technical sports equipment, upgrading is a daunting, confusing exercise given the level and speed of technology innovation. Sport Spot had a very good supply of racquets available for demo (although their lenient demo policy is clearly abused with folks keeping racquets out for weeks.) Staffers were very interested in my experience with each demo, gave me valuable ideas based on my comments and helped me pick some great new equipment with a customized hybrid stringing package to suit my playing style. The amazing kicker was with all this individual consultation they sold the racquets I selected (Babolat Aeropro Team GT) at the same price as the big tennis Web sites. Plus they threw in the high-end strings and stringing service at no extra charge. Next time I'm in the market for any sports equipment or clothing, especially anything remotely technical (e.g. downhill or XC skis), Sport Spot will be my first stop. read more

Visited Sport Spot today in search of my first pair of snowboarding boots. The salesman that assisted was very easy to work with. He educated me on what to look for in my perfect pair of boots, and brought me options based on my feedback from trying on up to three pairs. In the end up I found THE BEST pair and couldn't be more excited. Since he found me a pair well within my budget, I was able to shop around a little more. Randi assisted, and was extremely cool and patient. Loved my experience! Definitely my go-to snow shop. read more

Prior to going on vacation I bought a $100 Patagonia rain jacket which I did not wear. I attempted to return it but could not for two reasons. First I was told it was over ten days ( I just got back from vacation Sunday) and I said fine I would take a store credit. Then I was told that even though I had the receipt I did not have the tags. It was clear to all I had not worn the jacket but they said they could not resell the jacket without the original tags. I have no memory of removing the tags but they insisted that they only sell clothes with the tags. I found this policy to be quite restrictive. For a small local store maybe they should be more accommodating as I will never shop there again. read more
