Well, the crank broke and the hoops stayed at 6 1/2 feet.. I went to Dicks and Andrew was so helpful. He not only made phone calls for me but he also sent emails and CC me so I could see the communication. Long story, short version is I received my replacement crank and fixed the hoop. I also took off the crank and stored it so no more 6 1/2FT hoop. Thanks again Dicks and especially Andrew. He is truly an awesome employee.

They also honor a military discount, which doesn't happen at many places anymore. I also have giant, flat, bunion-bedecked flippers that are notoriously hard to fit--which isn't a problem here, because they scan your feet to get a 3D model (cool!) and then spend all the time you need to find exactly what fits. I tried on numerous pairs and the nice young man helping me was very knowledgeable and never rushed me at all. I ended up with a new brand I'd never heard of before (Topo) and they've been fantastic--comfortable from the very first wear. With wonderful service like this, it's no wonder I recently went back to get another pair for walking and trails (updated Brooks model this time). My feet (and knees) are SO much happier now that I have the right fit. Prices seem to be standard list (not sure if there are sales), but that's OK; the 60-day return policy is very generous and I appreciate that they want to make sure you're happy with what you buy. Tip: yes, it may be busy here, especially on a weekend--there's usually someone running a list at the front (or ask at the counter), so just give them your name and they'll get to you!
