LuLu's is super cute thrift store with a sweet name. It was much bigger than we realized when we stopped.. it's actually two levels. We were on a girls trip so this was a fun stop on a quiet morning. The staff is friendly and helpful. We thought the prices for the clothing was on the higher end for a thrift store but LuLu's was very well organized and clean. The changing area was large and decorated so cute! There are all kinds of hidden treasures all over the store.. from Christmas decorations to random household items and lots of furniture too. We did not make a purchase on this visit but not for lack of trying. I would definitely stop in again when we are in the area to peruse their wares. read more

I was so excited to shop here, but wanted to walk out after I took the first look at a price tag. Wow. Their selection is very nice, the store is very clean, the staff seemed friendly, but the prices are a bit de-lulu-sional. I really want to support a local business, but it almost seems a better deal to buy similar items for brand new given that the prices here are so high. If you're an avid second-hand shopper and love a good deal, this may not be not be the place for you. read more

They are unable to communicate via phone to sort out consignment sales questions. Contract reads that basically they charge you fee for pickup, can put in storage and then charge cleaning fees. They can reduce price and won't or can't answer if seller who owns item is involved in this reduction of price. 60 days after charging you all these fees mentioned above they can keep your items. I read everything on line and have read contracts my entire career, I understand completely what this store does with their consignment items. Selection on line looks good but store outside not even painted. I almost laughed out loud when she said we no longer decided to consign our items. Like I would ever let them sell my items. We have been buyers and sellers of antiques for many years. I actually kept doing the emails because they were so clueless RUN from this place! read more

Fun place to pop into. You never know what you will find. Sometimes nothing. Sometimes an awesome name brand deal. Employees are all very nice. There is a nice fitting room. The starting prices are creeping up and some are a little ridiculous for second hand clothing so hopefully you'll find something you like at their lowest price after it has lingered on the sales rack for a couple of weeks. Overpriced junk! You can find the same stuff at other places for cheaper. Everyone in there is a snob and looks down on you if you aren't dressed a certain way or look a certain way when you walk in which is ironic since it's a consignment store. Very nice people; almost all items are a good price. They have quality items. Lots of nice furniture; but opens a little too late.

I want to so desperately have something epic to say since I just moved down the block from here and love supporting local. But I love with integrity to my word, so a middle rating is what I'll be able to say for now. Parking is a perfect score. Tons of parking and easy to find. Greeted when I walked in. Always nice to Feel acknowledged and even better if the person listens to your response to how are you. I always take notice of this and on my trip here Saturday for whatever reason, they asked and then jumped in a conversation with another person when I went to respond. No issue just an observation. The pricing seemed high. Items were cute for sure. Some basic bit of this is your way to shop, there seemed to be an abundance of clothing for woman. However I don't totally get the pricing. Two home decor items I looked at were priced higher than the tk max/Marshall's tag that was still on it. I thought huh. I asked a woman and she confirmed the price. That just seems bizarre to me. I loved a colorful vase but it was near fifty dollars and I'll use an old vase and get extra beautiful flowers instead. I did get a sign about dogs being family. And somehow after everything being so much. I found a steal with it being 8 bucks. So I didn't leave empty handed. And I don't have any desire to go back. Maybe I will. My daughters and I love LuLu's Consignment. We have used the consignment feature for my girls to make a little extra money. We love shopping here and can always find a deal. We especially enjoy looking through the housewares to find fun stuff for our home. Lulu's is a great place, but make sure you set aside enough time to dig around and see everything. read more

Huge selection of women's and children's, and decent selection of men's clothes, as well as tons of furniture and other household items. Pretty cool old garage space! At first, the pricing system is somewhat confusing, but after you get a handle on it, it's pretty cool how things get cheaper with time! Decent amount of parking in several little areas. Easy access to I-26. Lots of people on a Saturday. Checkout takes a while during some times for that reason. read more

Not a fan of their consigning process. On the up side they have an extensive selection of items for just about anyone. My experience with trying to consign was not the best. "Poor communication" is the phrase I will use to sum up my "long story" of why I will not return to consign. I will not return to buy due to the overwhelming fragrance of scented candles that permeate and saturate the air. I understand the thought of trying to mask smell of used items but there has to be a safer and healthier way to do it. Perhaps invest in air filters. This reviews is from a consignor's perspective. The store itself might be fine, but being a consignor is a bad experience. Processing times are incredible. As of January 8, 2021, they are processing drop offs made October 1st! Or so they say. Have a feeling they may have certain consignors they put ahead of others. As a new consignor in early November, I had questions a few times regarding processing times and they have been very dismissive and curt. Unprofessional owner/staff (not sure which as they don't identify themselves when responding to email inquiries). And because I asked if they would actually address my inquiries instead of just telling me how busy they are, they told me I'm not the kind of person they want as a consignor!! Wow. As a prior Serendipity Consignment consignor, I was accustomed to being treated with respect and friendliness, and was shocked at such a reaction to my very reasonable questions. Someone needs to open a new shop in the area! Because of how I was treated, I would never shop at Lulu's. read more

This consignment store, IMO, is alright for older and/or more conservative folks. The only reason it gets three stars is because there is nothing comparable around the Fletcher area. Most of the clothes are definitely overpriced--for example, well-worn Target brand blouses for upwards of $20... really? And most of the styles are pretty boring/outdated, at least for my tastes. If you're in your 20s/30s, or if you prefer more original/edgy pieces, head to Asheville. If you're in the area and feel like hunting (a la thrift store), you might as well stop by. read more

If you want to purchase immediate things, like clothing, household items, then it's fine. But stay far away from anything that you may need to pick up later, like furniture. I purchased a couch that was originally mistagged. I paid and told them I'd be their to pick it up in 2 weeks. They had my name, my number, and the item number saved in a box where they keep all the others. Went to pick it up 2 weeks later, the couch was still there, but they had retagged it and resold it. Had to go through a massive process of proving I had bought it because they conveniently lost the tag with my info and proof of purchase. Then they had the nerve to ask if I could get another couch so they could give it to the buyers after me. Eventually got my couch, but will never trust them again. read more

Really a 3.5, am being generous and rounding up! as a consignor - the policies are very clear. take them or leave them, your choice. I've had a few things "donated" that I felt should have made it to the floor, but hey, they spelled it out up front so no complaints from me now. This is a a high traffic store that turns goods - putting stuff in a store with little or no traffic does not make money, (And if your item doesn't sell, you can pick it back up.... just keep track of your dates.). I donate only "perfect" items, ask for advice from the drop off staff before leaving (what might be) questionable items, check the pricing once it hits the sales floor, and pick up anything not sold..... and I make decent money doing so. as a customer - because they are so picky, you will find high end items in great shape. not always super cheap, but get real - it isn't a thrift store. Big difference. Of particular note are the name brand purses, totes, etc kept under lock and key, (Vera Bradley, Coach, Michael Kors, etc) - great bargains there. I have found some very nice pieces of furniture, and a roller bag (suitcase) with the tags still on it. They are open early evening, which means I can avoid Saturday craziness. Many good consignment stores don't accept home goods and furniture, LuLu's does. As both a consignor and a customer, that works great for me. I can change things out in my home at little to no cost! read more

While I am not a consignment devotee, we decided to stop in Lulu's to check it out. This was not the new building we stopped into, that one has adult clothing and furniture. This was the kids' and clearance Lulu's. They are down the street from each other. There are two Lulu's, if you didn't catch that. Good selection of shoes, hats, toys, decor, and of course, clothes. You have room to move around- you will not bump into other racks. There seemed to be some kind of baby room, with a selection of "Melissa and Doug" products and furniture, then two rooms of clearance- clothes, more furniture I think, jewelry, Vera Bradley bags, shoes, etc. I saw two pairs of "crewcuts" cords for kids; six bucks each. Go when you have ample time. There was so much stuff I did not have time to note everything. As one will know, stock varies all the time. Some prices are good, some are not. This place had a plentiful selection, and I could actually afford a few items. Tags are easy to understand. I did see one stain on a shirt, but just that one. I went through three large, circular racks. Returns are accepted within forty-eight hours. They do not hassle you about it. Now, the people who work there. The older woman is very friendly. The younger ones are not. One was just blasé while the other one was condescending. We are planning on stopping back in- for pain or pleasure, or possibly both. read more

I try to bring consignable clothing every time I come so I don't feel so guilty spending there :-) they don't take everything I've dropped off, but that's their policy to only take what they think will sell and donate the rest, so there's a win-win, if they don't think they can sell it, maybe someone else can find use for it elsewhere. read more

I took approximately 20 pairs of nice shoes to LuLu's for consignment. A few weeks later I stopped by to check my account balance and I was surprised to find less than $5.00? When I asked why my account had so little in it I was told that my shoes "weren't the style LuLu's sells" and that they were worn...and that they had cat hair on them??? Additionally I was told all but a few pair of my shoes were "given to a charity". Lesson learned...my shoes were the styles being worn by most women...they were in good to excellent condition or I would have never consigned them... and the cat hair issue is a total excuse. I felt ripped off by LuLu's and will never do business with them again. read more

I'm not impressed. I was a first time consigner and had all items except 2 rejected. I followed all their guidelines on brand and 'floor ready' expectations. Apparently they really only want new items in this consignment shop. I will not bother with this establishment ever again. Such a waste of time and mileage. Also, they take 60% of the sale. I stopped in a few days ago to drop off a few formal dresses because the season for prom is coming up. They require that you wait while they check them in case they can't accept something, which is perfectly fine by me. One of the dresses I brought had been worn once and the other two have never been worn at all. The lady (light hair, bangs, glasses) was not particularly nice when I came in and gave me a scowl/once-over. I was disappointed by the look I got-I was dressed down because I had been cleaning my house. I'm all for women wearing nice clothes and makeup if they so choose, as Lulu's' employees do, but it made me feel looked down upon when she looked as if my appearance was unacceptable. Back to my clothing. This woman tried to tell me that the scarcely worn dresses were not in good enough condition and that they wouldn't be able to accept them. Although I respect that they have to abide by certain rules, I was frustrated. One of the dresses was designer--brand new. If they had too many prom dresses and didn't want to accept more, just tell me that! This is not the first time I have had such a bad experience and I was very disappointed. read more

Might be OK for purchasing items but definitely NOT for consigning them. They accepted a brand new clutch purse from a well-known brand, tags still on and still in the protective cloth bag, for consignment. I had looked at the purse carefully before dropping it off so I know for certain it was in perfect condition. It appeared in my online inventory as an active item, and a couple weeks ltem suddenly showed $0. I was told by Lisa that this usually happens when a customer finds something wrong with an item and it is pulled from the floor, although there was no way of knowing for sure if that was the case. Her guess was that it was "probably donated" but again no way to tell for sure. That's the best they can tell me? After a brand new - fairly expensive - handbag disappears? I agree with the earlier poster's assessment - I too felt like I had been taken advantage of and would never do business with them again. read more

So disappointed time and again because of the haughty staff. We watched yesterday as a woman at the cash register told a lady she'd have to wait to see if the furniture manager would accept her couch. This woman had already talked to the manager and even sent pictures of her items which he had already accepted. If you're going to have a furniture department, you need to have someone there during business hours to deal with your customers and treat them more kindly. The woman at the cash register treated the woman as if she were dropping off trash. Shame on Lulu's! You are a consignment store! read more

We closed our account with Lulu's after less than a year of consigning with them. Like may others, we found that many high end items in new or next to new condition had been "donated", rather than sold in the store. We found their business practice to be unacceptable. We no longer consign or shop there as a result. read more

I have been a good customer/consigner for 7 plus years. I was shopping in the store today and asked a sales assciatate if I could use their restroom. I was told NO, they were out of order and did not offer to allow me to use their private facilities. I felt this was very rude and unnessary of this employee. Due to the unkind act of this employee I will no longer be a consigner/customerr of LuLu's. I have made them good money over the 7 years and now that has come to an end. Customer service should be priority of any business which LuLu's does not have. read more

I usually bring my clothing into a store that buys my items outright because it is convenient and quick but this time a friend persuaded me to take them to Lulus. The turn around time is slower because you have to wait for them to sort your items, but the wait was well worth it because I was SHOCKED at how much more money I made. When I went to pick up my money I looked around the store and I found a Tory Burch blouse for only $28 those tops normally retail for $200 and up! The store is organized by color, size, and type of item so it is easy to find what I was looking for. They also had a separate athletic section where I found a Lululemon yoga top for $26. I didn't get a chance to look through the purses but they had an entire display case full of Vera Bradley's, Coach's, Fossil's, etc. The staff was very helpful with explaining the tickets and how they worked! The building is very well kept and designed you can tell they put a lot of effort into their shop! Overall I had a great experience at Lulu's and I encourage everyone to check it out! read more
