They also stated my husband came in late for an appointment which they have a 15 minute grace period he was 4 minutes late they tried to turn him away, they then stated that he missed several appointments which they charge for but he has a zero balance which clearly shows he hasn't been late. The service that has been shown to us is very appalling and it clearly shows discrimination. We are paying for a service, we are not asking for charity work and that's how we have been treated.

The receptionist was very calming and answered all of my questions before we decided to make the drive there. Once we arrived, we were done with X rays and in the back with the staff and the actual dentist doing the exam within 10 mins. The dentist reassured us both of the situation and offered to fix everything on the spot. His name was Gio I think. Within about 60 mins of him getting started on the treatment plan he was done and the problem was solved that just needed some time to let things calm down. The exam was $85 upfront and our treatment plan was an additional $500. There was no financial surprises or hidden fees. Everyone was very nice, professional, and knowledgable. Not to mention it was like 7pm on a weekday when they took us. CONs: None!

I think Dr. Dunn's ultimate goal is to have a family friendly long term practice in the heart of Crestline. That kind of commitment to the community and patients is what I seek from all of my health care providers. I also seek an honest ethical doctor who has my best interest at heart. Example: today I had significant pain and swelling around one of my upper molars. I have never had any issues with my teeth and was quite concerned. I called the office first thing this morning and they immediately worked me in. Numerous possibilities were going through my head. Had I cracked a tooth? Did I need a root canal? Was a crown necessary and if so, how much would that cost me. After an x-ray and assessment Dr. Dunn found the root of my pain and problem. A popcorn kernel. A popcorn kernel was lodged in my gum. He asked me what I had done this weekend and there was the answer to my pain and swelling...my 7 year old daughter's birthday party. Movies and popcorn for 35 first grade girls had taken it toll. My primary point is that he could have completed numerous procedures and charged me and/or my insurance company countless dollars, but he didn't. He skillfully removed the culprit, irrigated and sent me home with "post procedure" instructions. $20 copay and 5 minutes later, I am one very happy patient. I've had regular cleanings as well as fillings and, most recently, a crown (same day!) at this location. I have zero complaints about any of these interactions. They develop a care plan with you before treatment, so there are no surprises when you're done. My 5-year old daughter also is seen here and she has developed an early enjoyment of going to the dentist, which I know is uncommon. My sister is a Black woman, and the way Black employees were treated raised serious concerns for me. She also described what she felt was unequal treatment among employees. According to her, one white employee was allowed to contribute very little to the workplace without facing the same level of scrutiny or consequences as others. This created concerns about favoritism and unequal standards. I also learned about another Black female employee who reportedly passed out after being exposed to blood. She continued working there afterward but was reportedly fired approximately a year later. This raised additional concerns about how Black employees were treated. It seems to be a pattern with Black individuals in general. Seeing Dr. Gooch wearing a "Gulf of America" T-shirt also made me uncomfortable and contributed to my concerns about the workplace environment.
