I was referred here by my dentist to get my wisdom teeth removed…read more The positive: - Making an appointment was pretty easy, they were informative on what to expect and what to bring with me (ID, form of payment, somebody to drive me home from the procedure) - the facility itself is very nice and clean. The building looked new, had some nice Christmas decor, and cozy details such as a blanket for the patient in the consultation room. - the technology they have is great and very up to date, especially compared to the average dentists office. The consultation room has a gigantic TV that they will pull up your pan X-ray on, allowing them to show you exactly what they plan to do. - because my pan X-ray was a bit old and had been the old printed type (not digital), they were nice enough to repeat an X-ray on the house prior to the procedure. This allowed the oral surgeons quickly figure out that what looked like a cyst on an old X-ray was simply an undeveloped wisdom tooth. - the oral surgeon had a nice demeanor, was great at describing the procedure. He also is very skilled at what he does, the surgery went well without any issues and I had a prompt recovery. The negative: - It took over a week to get a call back from their employee in charge of finance/insurance to get details about what sort of out of pocket payment I would be looking at after my dental insurance coverage. - the front desk person was under the impression that I would need "general" anesthesia. I don't think the front desk people fully understand the difference between general anesthesia and light sedation. - the oral surgeon spent very little time on the consultation prior to the procedure, and I felt as though I was almost forced towards going under sedation for the procedure rather than being given information on doing only local anesthesia. I felt as though I had no information and no choice on the matter. I was only getting the top wisdom teeth out so from speaking to friends in the field, local anesthesia could have been a viable option. - the person I asked to drive me home was given post-op instructions due to me still being sedated. Since this was just a routine wisdom tooth removal, it would have been nice to hear these instructions myself prior to going under sedation. Overall- I enjoyed my experience here, and the wisdom tooth removal surgery was successful. The oral surgery team here is very skilled, and I was healed up enough to go back to a regular diet within 3 days of surgery.

June 24: My appointment was canceled by the office due to staff being out, with the next available appointment not until July 6. July 6: I was informed only after arriving that my insurance could not be verified, despite having been submitted 47 days earlier. After my consultation, I spent approximately 20 minutes locating my policy number and watched the information be given to Vickie. I asked if I should wait while my coverage was verified and was told there wasn't time to complete my treatment plan that day, but that I would receive a call the following day. July 8: After not receiving a call, I contacted the office. Vickie asked if I had found the policy number, although I had already provided it on July 6. I was then asked to contact my insurance company. July 9: I confirmed my insurance was active but still under my maiden name. I accept responsibility for that oversight; however, it could have been addressed well before my appointment had I been notified when my insurance was first submitted. I provided the updated information and was told I would receive my treatment plan on July 10. July 10-16: I received no follow-up. My multiple calls on July 15 and July 16 went unanswered, and when I finally reached someone by calling from a different phone number, I was placed on hold for Vickie and never received a return call. I understand that only one person prepares treatment plans, but repeated promises of follow-up without any communication are unacceptable. It is frustrating to feel as though I have to repeatedly pursue a practice with which I am prepared to spend thousands of dollars. Timely communication and honoring commitments to patients should be a basic expectation.

Gentle music, calm atmosphere, massage chairs, a blanket if you want - all the things. Everyone is so kind and helpful, and the staff and doctors are so attentive. I've had regular cleanings as well as fillings and, most recently, a crown (same day!) at this location. I have zero complaints about any of these interactions. They develop a care plan with you before treatment, so there are no surprises when you're done. My 5-year old daughter also is seen here and she has developed an early enjoyment of going to the dentist, which I know is uncommon. They are so patient and gentle with her and she has no qualms about going for her cleanings. All-in-all, I would recommend this group to anyone seeking dental care.

My sister is a Black woman, and the way Black employees were treated raised serious concerns for me. She also described what she felt was unequal treatment among employees. According to her, one white employee was allowed to contribute very little to the workplace without facing the same level of scrutiny or consequences as others. This created concerns about favoritism and unequal standards. I also learned about another Black female employee who reportedly passed out after being exposed to blood. She continued working there afterward but was reportedly fired approximately a year later. This raised additional concerns about how Black employees were treated. It seems to be a pattern with Black individuals in general. Seeing Dr. Gooch wearing a "Gulf of America" T-shirt also made me uncomfortable and contributed to my concerns about the workplace environment. Based on my sister's experience and what she shared with me, I would encourage anyone considering this office to carefully consider their options.

It developed into a full-blown phobia. I would not go unless I was in pain - then I needed gas or IV sedation if it was surgery . Dr Miller is unlike any dentist I've ever met . He is both empathetic & professional- he explained it was not unusual to be afraid ( most dentists had ignored me & put a gas mask on me immediately ) I also noticed how kind he was to his assistant during the procedure -if she had questions etc . I was accustomed to dentists who only spoke to assistants or patients when necessary. (It says so much about a person when they treat their employees with kindness , imo) He talked as he worked and both distracted & entertained me. He is a dog person & has their pictures on display . ( always a sign of a good person ) I looked forward to going back- which is a miracle for me . This office has completely changed my attitude to going to the dentist . I had cracked the enamel on my implant & so I decided to have a new one done - so it was a total of 3 visits. Each visit , I was more impressed with the entire office .
