I wanted to go back to the same artist I saw before but she had left town and so the search began!! Thankfully, I came across Royal brows and after seeing some before and after photos, I decided to get my eyebrows done with Belma. Belma is very talented, pays attention to detail, and has her way of making clients feel relaxed and comfortable. Also, the squishy balls were a helpful distraction during the process. Have you ever cut your own hair and it turned out to be not as bad as you thought, but then when you actually go to a salon you're like, "What was I thinking?!" Doing my own lashes...same concept. So it's 2025 and my daughter and I decide that we wanna do something for ourselves again that involves a professional. This is where Divaforeva Lashes takes our needs and wants to another level. I called to inquire about services and it was the owner, Gennifer, who answered the phone. Not only did I get all of my questions answered, I made appointments for both my daughter and I and immediately felt the personal service & quality we were going to receive...and this is just over one phone call. Not to mention there were three additional phone calls due to my daughter's work schedule which they were more than happy to accommodate as it was within their policy. The day had finally come. I was so excited! There was plenty of parking and when you walk into the establishment the atmosphere was elegant, inviting and more importantly pristine. The seating area where Gennifer sat with me as a new client is very comfortable and inviting. And talking with Gennifer is like talking with a friend. You can tell she's very proud of what she's created and very humble for the clients she has. As you walk upstairs to the private rooms you're asked if you'd like to use the restroom first as a full set is a two hour long process. The bathroom is just as clean as the rest of the salon and very nicely decorated. Once in the room there's a very comfortable seat where they continue the interview which is very personalized and informational. You're then welcomed to lay on a heated and extremely comfortable bed where the magic takes place. Full disclosure, I actually fell asleep during my session. When I woke up I was ecstatic to see the beautiful art that Gennifer had done with my face. Yes, she only did my lashes, but you know how when you mount an exquisite piece of art on a wall and now that entire wall just looks amazing? That's exactly what she did to my face. I would say the experience was beyond words, but if you've made it this far then I guess you could call me a liar. Oh!!! And I cannot forget to mention that on this day Divaforeva Lashes received the Best of Glam/Lashes in all of Snohomish County and is also the Best Overall Business in all of Mill Creek. I suffer from anxiety that flares up when getting lashes done (having to keep eyes closed for long period of time). Korin was very detailed in her aftercare instructions, and also sent me home with a small sample of moisturizer to minimize the visible peeling. Due to following her instructions, I experienced MINIMAL visible peeling, but great results in the improvement of my skin's texture. My clients have been asking me if I've switched foundations! I came in with a Groupon a little over two years ago. I'd had a few bleach treatments in the 3-5…read moreyears prior, and my hair has tolerated it remarkably well, remaining healthy and strong and shiny, probably because I never heat treat it. I came in for my first hair treatment since covid, so I was ~emotional and excited for a refresh. I forget the name of my stylist but ...... wow. 1- We were lightening for a balayage and despite using bleach my tips came out darker, still warm-toned (I'm undeniably cool-toned and made sure to bring it up). Also my whole head was about one (warm) color... it didn't reflect our discussion at all, and my balayage gave harsh grow out lines 2- Despite the low level of lightening, and my hair being very receptive to bleach, the treatment she applied absolutely fried my hair. It's been over two years since I had this done and I've heat styled it 0 times and dyed it 0 times, and even after cutting it much shorter the bottom 8" completely remain utterly fried. 2 years later I'm accepting that I'll probably have to cut it chin length to stop the absolutely dead hair from splitting further. Even with Olaplex, it's so outrageously tangled, split (I've had hairs with 4+ splits in them ... WTH), and dead that there's no saving it. I've never experienced anything like it.. it's just *dead*. I've only had my hair lightened in a salon because I'm so worried about this happening, and it's hilarious that the most ineffective bleach treatment I've ever had somehow was the one bleach treatment to ruin my hair. I'm about resigned to hacking it to a short bob and starting over. Oh - they also charged me extra on top of the Groupon because my hair was below my shoulders, even though it's extremely fine. Long story short, my Groupon here actually ruined my gorgeous hair, and I think it'll be about 5 years to get it back. Approaching the midpoint I think it's time to leave a review. :( Tl;dr my self-care appointment to rehab long boring hair gave me 5 years of bad hair.
