Visited for a team building event with work and had a fun time. Pros: good location with ample parking coaches were fun (especially Asia!) and helped and encouraged us to do our best large space with bar area and lots of stations to throw axes clean bathrooms onsite TVs to help keep score different types of axes for those with varying throws Cons: must order food in since none available onsite for purchase you really only know what is going on in your throwing bay - i.e if you have friends throwing in the bay next to you it is difficult to keep up on their scores read more

I was skeptical about going here but was so happy when we were done, and I wasn't even very good at throwing axes. Our check in was easy and we were given safety instructions and throwing instructions. We chose 1.5 hours but could have gone way longer. There is certainly an art to throwing the axe, but even when we threw it badly, we had fun. We played lots of different games and we all had a great time. There was a bar that had some interesting drinks. read more

I recently went to LumberjAxes Axe throwing with a group of friends and it was an absolute blast. Our Axe coach, Candace, was great and helped our team out a lot. ( because we needed it) we even had another employee come along the side to help give some pointers. I love how they have local beers, ales and meads as well! Taking it a step further they encourage customers to order from neighboring businesses for food. Talk about a great way to come together. read more

If you want a fun day out-this is the place to go! (In Cranberry it's right by JoAnn's.) We went for my husband's birthday and it did not disappoint. Every single person who worked there were beyond nice. Jake our coach was the best of all-he was patient, kind and really tried to help me the weakling, and he finally got me to hit the board. $40 to throw two rounds? Most of the time we were standing around chatting waiting for two people to throw when at least four of us could've been throwing at one time with our large group. We asked twice if we could have another lane and they refused. I thought it was a great time last time I went because they gave us two lanes and way more autonomy, but this time only one lane that came with a babysitter. I could've spent the night at my family's house for free to sit around and chat. It's a fun activity but not worth $40 bucks when you're standing around MOST of the time. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was nice but it's a damn shame they can't allow more people to play at once so we actually get our money's worth. I wish I could say I would go back but I could do a whole hell of a lot more with $40 bucks. You literally robbed our group of almost $500 +tips +drinks to let us throw axes for a total of 10 minutes each? Maybe don't book large groups if you don't have the staff or let returning throwers use another lane. PS. This is coming from a person who never posted a negative review in my entire life. Something needs to change so people stop wasting their money. read more

We got to come early with a private party and all I can say is wow! There was only one worker at the time and he did an amazing job for us. This place had the most axes throw per turn of any place I've been to, but our coach kept each round fun and exciting! I would highly recommend to anyone that wants to have a great experience throwing axes or just having a drink or two at their bar (the mead selection is amazing). read more

Attended with a large group. Excellent service! Very fun and lots of laughs. Check in was easy - scan code - sign waiver - done. (or hard copies were also available). Coaches did a great job of teaching and encouraging everyone. We had two lanes/targets - kept things moving along. Not everyone in our large group threw - they had fun watching too! Will certainly do this again. Place is nice and open - clean and neat. We brought a large group there and the intro to axe throwing and the coaches were great. If you pay attention to what they say you will hit the target consistently. plenty of room and the people were all nice. only thing i would say is they need to maybe spend a little less time trying to educate customers on the subtleties of PA meade varieties because this holds up the rest of us who just want a beer. great fun though, all in all. read more

If you have been axe throwing several times before, this place is not for you. Disgustingly over priced and abnormally strict on group reservations. If you want a fun time with friends, there are many other options like Holzfaeller's. For 10 people for 2 hours, Hozfaeller's charges $220. For the same, LumberJaxes charges $400. Inexcusable price and weirdly strict environment. Support smaller businesses who have cheaper prices and double the fun! read more

Tried to plan a birthday axe throwing, had a group of 10 but some people were arriving late. They charged us $400 for 2 lanes to get a third lane they said we would need to pay for 3 extra people for $125 when its on $25 an hour for a person to get a lane. Refused to let us throw till the whole group was there when they had 7+ workers and only two lanes being used so they coulda informed people when they got there. Decided to cancel, they kept $80 deposit, but called up Holzfaeller axe throwing the owner opened up just for us 10, let us use all 5 lanes for $220 so ended up saving $100 even after losing the deposit, had an absolute blast there, will never give Lumberjaxes business again, will tell everyone to go to holzfaeller from now on. read more

I visited Steel City Axes as part of a private event. Not only do they have Axe Throwing (Which is…read morevery FUN by the way), but they also have Escape Rooms (I believe there are three different rooms (We got to pick one of the three at our event), and my wife and I chose the "80's Dance Club" room, which was a TON of FUN!!! We were partnered with three other people that we hadn't met before, and we were given a briefing, and then were set loose to try and solve the puzzle, and win the challenge before the allotted time was up. My wife and I are both in our 50's, so this room was perfectly themed for our age (but really, I feel just about any age would still have fun in here, but it was even more meaningful, because we lived the 80's life). The music was perfect, I knew every single song, and the effects, were spot on, and it almost felt like were going back in time. Now, I don't want to spoil the fun, and tell the secrets of this room, but let me just say, that this room was so fun, it had us dancing and singing just like we were at a dance club back in the day!!! Bottom line for us, we did NOT solve the room, as we got stuck on a "time waster" and we lost a lot of valuable time, but my wife and I both want to go back and try it again some day, as well as try out the other themed rooms also. Now, in my opinion, the Escape Room was our favorite part of Steel City Axes, but we also enjoyed the actual Axe Throwing too!! We were on site for a little over two hours, and it took 60 minutes to do the Escape Room. The other sixty minutes was spent mingling with others, and taking turns playing with the axes. We threw axes before our Escape Room, and after. I got the hang of it pretty quickly, and got a few bullseyes, but my wife had a harder learning curve. Eventually she figured it out, and was getting the axes to stick into the target, but her axes (and a few for me too) ended up bouncing off the board. We felt very safe, as there was a staff person watching and making sure we followed all the rules (and gave some tips too). Lastly, I must talk about the decor and ambience of the business, which had a funky-Victorian parlour feel to it. There was antique furniture, paintings, taxidermy (stuffed animals wearing cute clothes), and it felt really homey to me, and had a welcoming/ inviting vibe (Check out some of my photos to see how cool it is). Also, they sell a variety of drinks, to include some of my favorite soda pops, made locally by Natrona Bottling / Red Ribbon Sodas . . . I didn't buy any this time, because our party provided bottled waters (and popcorn), but when I come back, I will certainly patronize the snack bar area. I also think I heard that it was BYO, if you choose to partake in an adult beverage. If I had any feedback to improve my experience, it would be to provide some sort of grade at the end of the Escape Room, such as "You completed 11 of 15 challenges (here's where you went wrong, etc.)." We really were kind of left hanging, we knew we failed, but didn't know by how much. Also, our room guide was a little bit soft-spoken, and I had a bit of a hard time hearing everything he said (Note: I usually wear hearing aids, but because of the pandemic, I stopped wearing them because if I wear a mask it doesn't fit properly when my hearing aids are in (BTW, Masking WAS NOT required here if you are vaccinated, but was optional (Many in our group chose to wear masks, and that's fine with me (I brought a mask with me just in case it got too crowded)). Overall though, I still give this place FIVE stars, and both my wife and I look forward to coming back and trying to solve those Escape Rooms again some day . . . BIG CHEERS for Steel City Axes!!!!!

Over the course of an hour and a half, we played several rounds of probably 5 or 6 different games. The host was fun and energetic, doing her best to keep everyone engaged and involved. This was a fun and unique experience priced at $40/pp. They have tons of tables where you can eat food that you order from a local business, clean bathrooms, and a parking lot located somewhat behind the building. As a Yelp Elite All Star I noticed that the most current YELP review for this pool was a one star review based solely on what this person thought the price should be for entry for her & her kids & her comparison to North Park Pool. First off Cranberry Township Waterpark, offers more than just a pool. It has a very large kids area with large kiddie pool, water dump bucket, splash pad & preschool water sliding board. It has a dedicated lap swim lane at all times. It has a waterside, low diving board, water tunnel sliding board, water climbing wall, sand volleyball court, grassy play areas, concession stand with large variety of foods, drinks & desserts & bathrooms with showers & changing rooms. There are giant umbrellas for shade, and many lounge & some Adirondack chairs. You can get water wings, or life vests for your kids there if needed. This is not a county pool like North Park Pool. NPP is run by the county. Cranberry is run by the township (not Butler County) & managed & staffed by high school kids. YES, the prices ARE higher than Allegheny County & City pools: 2025 Daily Admission Rates Residents: $11 Non-Resident: $16 Children: 2 - 12 years old Resident:$10 Non-Resident: $14 Children under 2: FREE 55+ Senior Resident: $10 Non-Resident: $14 Twilight Rates (after 6 p.m.) Resident: $8 Non-Resident: $10 Tuesday Night Swims: 9-11 p.m. Members: FREE Non-Members: $8 But that gives ZERO reason to diss this beautiful waterpark & all it has to offer. I highly recommend our pool & have taken out of town guests here with young kids several times in the past 20 years & they all loved it.
