I suppose people looking for a taste of home or a reminder of their homeland lead to businesses that share their experiences and culture with the rest of us. Anniston Alabama was once the home of Fort McClellan, Although the main post and related activities have ceased to exist, remnants of the culture it brought to the area still remain and are cultural jewels left behind, The Immanuel Oriental Market is a grand Korean/Oriental market. It sits in an older strip mall at the 431 interchange within a short distance to the Anniston Museum of Natural History and Burman Museum. They do however have Vietnamese, Chinese and a small amount of Filipino items. They offer hot foods for take out (see pic of menu) although prices seem to be on the high side. I have not ordered yet, so I cannot speak to the taste, quality or portion sizes you get for takeout items. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
