Hi Susan K., In Nevada, Aetna HMO is out of network. Aetna PPO is useable. For HMO, we can offer self-pay. We apologize that Aetna HMO doesn’t work with Luna. We wish!!!

Definitely arrive early because the office is super busy! Afternoon appointments seem to go faster than mid-morning. The office has an in-house MRI machine, which I used last week. The appointment was easy and the attendant made me feel comfortable the entire time. Today, I stopped in for my MRI results and luckily I don't have a rotator cuff tear!! That was a concern due to my symptoms. I did have a minor labrum tear, which is relatively common due to my age. It's deep inside the shoulder, and not affiliated with the pain I was having on my outside shoulder and upper arm. To help alleviate my discomfort, they suggested a cortisone shot. I could come back for another every few months, as needed. Andrew W. Is a PA on the team and he's excellent at giving shots! He and the nurse prepped the materials, used cooling to numb the area, insert the shot into my rotator cuff muscle on my back, and then apply a laser for healing before taping on a bandage. It was very efficient and fast, plus relatively painless!! I was so impressed! If you need a cortisone shot, I would definitely ask for Andrew W., if possible!

Second, I really need all medical professionals to understand that more than one person can have the same or similar name. If you are not competent enough to understand that two people can have the same name, you are not competent enough to render medical care. I am aware that someone who is 20+ years my senior has my name. And I am aware that this person has been in and out of jail since 1982 for drug-related crimes. I wasnt even born in 1982. Whats weird is that you cant figure out the 20 year gap in the charts. I would think age is important to medical diagnosis, but clearly it doesnt impact the medical advice provided here. I need you to try very, very hard to understand this. Because gossiping outside the door of a place I've never been (and am only here because of a referral from an ER) about how I'm a repeat flyer is unprofessional and, likely, unethical. I really hope that each of you are treated the same way you treated me in a similar situation. If it is too difficult for the nurses and doctors to see different medical history, birthdays, and middle names in the chart and reach the conclusion themselves that more than one person can have the same name; I am seriously concerned about what else is missing from their basic common sense, reading comprehension, and logic skills. I do not want treated by anyone who cannot figure this out on their own without prompting.

My husband recently had surgery on his right shoulder, for biceps tenodesis and subacromial balloon spacer, to help relieve the pain of bone-on-bone impact due to osteoarthritis, and I have been receiving cortisone injections for similar pain in both shoulders... The meticulous attention and care of all the staff is to be congratulated. I have been experiencing pain relief, and my husband is slowly regaining mobility in his right shoulder, also thanks to Dr. David Graff, who heads the Physical Therapy Department. Their combined expertise, personal service, attention to detail and wonderful patient care make this an outstanding resource in the Las Vegas area. I highly recommend them for any orthopedic services.
