Super cute, local, alpaca farm that hosts tour, painting sessions and yoga with alpacas! We saw an advertisement on Instagram for painting with Alpacas and thought it would be a fun weekend outing. Painting session was $50 and includes all your paint, brushes, design, treats to feed the alpacas and 1 non-alcoholic beverage. Start time was 10:30am on a Sunday and you start off with a basic outline of an alpaca extra station. Then the instructor takes you through how to fill in the background and the llama and give you pointers along the way. They have you paint your background first before they allow the alpaca to come in and wander around, which is great planning as the minute the alpacas were introduced into the area. The painting was occurring in everybody was distracted by all the cuteness. You are welcome to get up throughout the session to interact with alpacas and give them treats, which was great because I found myself drawing inspiration from some of their coloring to incorporate into my painting. We had the best time exploring this amazing, wheelchair-accessible farm. Since we had two adults in wheelchairs, they let us park directly on the farm, and they even had rubber mats to help with mobility. The shop and bathroom were also wheelchair accessible. Mr. King, our tour guide, was so kind, funny, and welcoming. He gave us treats to feed the animals and shared incredible stories about them. We were in absolute alpaca heaven. My daughter who tends to be more hesitant around animals, really appreciated how patient and understanding Mr. King was. What truly stood out was how thoughtful and accommodating they were, not just for us, but for all disabled visitors, including those with autism or sensory needs. Mr. King constantly checked in to make sure we were comfortable, never rushed us, and made sure we had the best experience possible. The alpacas and llamas are the absolute sweetest, gentlest animals ever. King, the owner is very friendly- teaches you all about the grounds, animals and provides some wonderful opportunities for you to hang with the animals, feed them, take tons of pictures and even carry a baby alpaca. This beautiful farm is located on the hills of Minneola, was so in love being able to feed the ducks, alpacas and llamas. If alpaca yoga sounds like a great time to you... you are absolutely correct. I LOVED my yoga session with all of my new alpaca friends at LunaSea Alpaca Farm! What a fantastic experience and a fabulous way to spend a Sunday morning. I arrived 15 minutes early for my yoga session, and parked outside of the gate of LunaSea. Upon arriving, I was greeted by a very nice group of people welcoming me to the alpaca farm. We made our way to the enclosure with the baby alpacas to begin yoga. The enclosure is heavily shaded by trees- for those that are concerned about getting sunburnt (like me). We laid down our mats and blankets, and suddenly, a mini herd of super friendly baby alpacas came walking towards us. Supposedly we got particularly lucky that day because the alpacas were ultra playful and running around! Our yoga instructor told us that we were free to do yoga poses or take moments to interact with the alpacas as they curiously came around to say hello and investigate. Also, we were given some treats to pass out to the alpacas, so they'd come around snooping. My friend next to me was in the middle of doing some yoga poses when a hilarious alpaca decided to lay down on her mat! I lured some alpacas over with tasty treats while balancing out my time to do some zen yoga poses. The little guys seemed most curious when we were lying down on our backs- I got two unexpected alpaca smoochies when I was laying down! After our yoga session, we were given lots of treats to pass out to our alpaca friends. They also graciously offered to take our photos of us feeding the alpacas. After we were given plenty of time to play and take photos, we were directed to wash our hands in their merch store. In the store, they sell yarn, beanies, stuffed animals, socks, etc made of their alpacas' hair! Ugh sooo soft. In the store, we got to ask lots of questions about the alpacas and learned some really interesting history about them. LunaSea Alpaca Farm is now one of my favorite places to visit in Orlando, and I will definitely be back VERY soon to visit all of my furry friends! LunaSea Alpaca Farm is located in Clermont, not far from Lakeridge Winery (so maybe next time add it to your plans before a day of wine tasting!). The farm is family owned with mainly alpacas and a few llamas. They offer tours, which you reserve in advance, for a donation of $10 each person. The tours are limited to a small number of guests and right now during the pandemic you can feel safe to keep your distance and wear your mask (although at the time attended not required - not sure if county rules have changed since visiting). The tour (led by King) was informative, interactive, and unlike anything I had ever experienced. Although you don't really walk very far, you are up close and personal with the Alpacas like nowhere I have ever been in my life. We got to be in their areas, pet them, feed them treats, and just be with them while they roam free. It was interesting to learn that alpacas do not have top teeth, so although you see these huge teeth protruding from their mouth, they cannot bite you. This made me feel a lot safer around them and made the experience a lot more enjoyable. The babies of course were the highlight. They were so cute and just wanted to "chew" on everything - the chair, my purse, etc. The tour lasted probably about an hour total and it was so much fun! I honestly cannot wait to go back and take others with me so they can experience what I did, as I feel it is something very unique that is being offered here in Central Florida. Something new that LunaSea Alpaca Farm is starting to offer is "alpaca yoga" where you actually get to do yoga with the alpaca's roaming around and then play with the babies afterwards. This is something I may consider trying out in the future now that I have been getting into yoga. read more

One of the most awesomest places to go to!! I've been planning to go here for awhile and we were scheduled to meet King at 11am, and the whole tour was great. I learned a lot about alpacas & llamas and it was overall a great experience. I was a bit frightened at first because I was afraid they were going to bite me but after learning about them and feeding them, it wasn't so bad. King was really helpful and helped us throughout the whole tour giving us really great insights on how they're like. We also got the chance to learn about how their fur would be used. It's a $10 donation per person and however much you want to donate. I really enjoyed my time here and I look forward to bringing more people and coming back to see the little babies. Scheduled meetings are in smaller groups and run about an hour or whatever is needed to make the experience happen. No need to be concerned about the animals or interactions as they are just like a big dog. No worries about biting, spitting or kicking, just enjoy. Family owned location and this family is awesome!! When we first got there one of the group wanted to see the chickens and they noticed my daughter was nervous when they started coming over. They took the time to talk to my daughter about the chickens and even caught one to let her pet. She was very happy about that. She was not concerned about the alpacas, but was afraid of the chickens :-) They explain a lot about the alpacas and the farm. You get to feed them and interact with the boys and the girls. LunaSea Alpaca farm used to be one of my wife's and my favorite hidden gems of the greater Orlando area. My wife absolutely adores alpacas, and we had a handful of enjoyable times there together. My wife went once without me and we'll never go back. During that visit my wife was sexually harassed and abused by the owner. It started off with what you'd expect, general comments about her breasts, but escalated throughout the duration of the tour. He then made comments about how the two of them should run off together for some "private time" and made a game out of trying to throw pieces of bread down her shirt. At one point during the portion of the tour, you're able to hold a baby alpaca. You have to hand them off in a very particular way, so he asked my wife to help demonstrate since she had been there and done that a few times beforehand. He purposefully placed his hands in such a way that they would be square in-between her breasts during the hand off. All he had to say was he "really wanted to touch them." I hate to have to put something out there against a small business, but I have to do my duty in keeping other potential visitors safe. It's truly sad that this place and the experience it tries to deliver had to be ruined by the predatory habits of its owner. Let it be known that LunaSea is not a safe space for women; I urge anyone to never do business there again. read more

We were looking for something to do on our weekend and came across LunaSea. The farm is located in Clermont, roughly 40 minutes from Orlando. Due to COVID they only take 12 people at a time so calling ahead to make a reservation is a must. There is a $10 donation per person which helps with food for the animals. Masks are not mandatory, but several of us chose to wear them depending on how close we were. Since it's a farm there is plenty of space for people to social distance. King was our tour guide and he did a great job explaining everything you may want to know about Llamas and Alpacas. The animals are lovely and very docile. Well worth it! A super fun afternoon at LunaSea Alpaca Farm in Clermont! We had a reservation for 12:00 PM. The farm is home to five llamas, 32 Suri alpacas, one Huacaya alpaca, and a bunch of chickens, roosters, American Pekin ducks, Muscovy ducks, and peahens. There are essentially four parts to the tour. The first part you are with the chickens, roosters, ducks, and peahen. The second part you are with the male alpacas and llamas. The third part you are with the female alpacas and llamas. The fourth part you are with the baby alpacas (known as crias). In all four parts you are feeding and petting the animals while King is educating you on everything. Owner-Farmers, King and Lucy Lee Fowler are super friendly, engaging, and they make the tour educational and fun! I highly recommend a visit! read more

Seeing the videos and pictures on social media, I had to get in on the action myself. I originally reached out on their Facebook page to make a reservation. They responded in a timely manner, and the page was very clear and detailed. You will find chickens, award winning llamas, and alpacas of all ages on this farm. The owners are friendly and humorous, and add to the experience. Originally I thought it would be more of a petting zoo experience, but the farm had more to offer. The owners will give you an educated tour of their animals and farm. The history and stories were touching, and you leave learning a lot! They only ask for a $10 donation which helps provide food for their farm animal friends. You can tell they really love their animals and it showed. This is one of the only farms where you can get up close and personal with the alpacas and llamas. You have the opportunity to go in their pens to feed and pet the alpacas. You'll get a lot of fun videos, selfies, and memories for life. They even got my spouse to put a carrot in their mouth to feed their llamas! A picture perfect moment! The total experience should take no more than 2 hours.
