My husband and I have been coming to Lundeen's for years. Since long before the pandemic we have made a point of stopping by every time we are in Culver City. We are always curious to see what new finds they have on display. This is one of those local gems that we hope stays in the neighborhood a long, long time. There is always something funny, clever, or creative to explore. Many of their items are unique to the LA area or support local creatives. We've bought countless gifts for family, friends, and let's admit it - ourselves - here. They manage to include a wide variety of housewares, games, books, toys, art and craft supplies, jewelry, decor, and accessories into a cozy shop. There is an assortment of cards for life's many occasions, with creative sentiments and plenty of personality to express what you can't always find the words to communicate. We have spent many happy afternoons just browsing through the aisles and considering what we might want to buy. Upon reaching the register, there is always a friendly face to greet you and offer to wrap your purchases if they are gifts. We love that they take the time to select a combination of ribbon colors with the type of gift and recipient in mind! I visited Lundeen's several times while I was in town last month and had such a lovely experience every time I came in. The staff were all really helpful, and I had to hold myself back from buying every single sticker they had in stock at the time. I really like the variety in their store; it's like part book store, part stationary store, part home decor, toys, etc. You could find a gift here for literally anyone. I was able to find a really unique notebook for my partner, a few toys and temporary tattoos for my daughter and some nice new pens and a journal for myself. read more

It's giving Paper Source Vibes, but is unique because it's locally owned. I went to find a gift for someone and ended up buying a gift for myself because I have no self-control when it comes to cute things. My wife and I visited Lundeen's on Saturday, looking forward to picking up summer gifts for friends and family: candles, journals, toddler gifts, and cards. I was really attracted to the small business and big heart statement on their website since I like to support small, customer service-oriented businesses. It is a cute store with an interesting and quality selection. Unfortunately, we were ignored by the staff when we entered and during our twenty minutes of browsing. The two people who were working, possibly one of the owners, kept an eye on us the whole time, but no one ever came over to ask if they could help or if we had questions. I wish Lundeen's success, but being ignored and watched as a person of color ensures that this was my first and last time to visit. read more

I've popped into this store several times and I am rarely greeted. There are usually the same two workers. One is very sweet and the other is straight up rude. She genuinely seems annoyed that you are in there shopping. It's a shame because it's a cute store, but unfortunately customer service makes me not want to go back. read more

I usually come here when I need to get a gift for a baby shower because they have a good selection and they offer free gift wrapping (which is great because my wrapping is terrible). It's a small store but doesn't feel like it's crowded. A bit pricier since they're unique gifts but you can find some inexpensive items too if you really look. If I only knew a toddler whom I could buy a "K is for Kamala" shirt. It's pricey but many things like greeting cards are unique. For example, "LET'S GET THIS PARTY STARTED! so I can be in bed by 11." Nephew's birthday was around the corner, and I was running out of time and ideas. Randomly walked by Lundeen's one late afternoon, and I was so glad I saw it. The store's descriptions and merch seemed to have what I needed, but it was closed; they close at 6 pm, so if you walk by after standard work hours, they may be closed. I made arrangements to drop by when they were open. When I visited the store during work hours, the employees were wonderful. I told them the age and type of toys I was looking for. They had pretty awesome gifts in mind. I found two books and a whack-a-mole sort of gift. As you can see in the photo, the shop also gift wrapped it for me too. I believe there's a certain price range or item count you need to meet for the gift wrap, but it was a great touch. Nephew loved the books Lundeen's had to offer. One clerk's attitude needs to be improved. She is the whole reason I'm leaving this review. This is my go to place I buy a gift for my family, friends, and some fun stuffs for myself. I always love to go here and am so glad to have this kinda cool place in my town. But today March 12, I went there and the clerk in a black long sleeves and a light blue tee underneath was rude. I understand she might be having a bad day, but she was very dismissive. When you work at a gift shop being helpful and answering questions is a main part of the job. This is the perfect spot, saved me plenty of times last minute. I'm telling you, the cards are far funnier than the garbage at a CVS or Walgreens. Lots of stuff for little kiddies on the Washington Blvd. side (the store goes through from Wash Blvd to Culver Blvd) -- clothes, toys, blankets, etc. -- and lots of other types of gifts along the walls and on the other side of the store. I went in with an idea for a particular gift and ended up getting something I really liked for a fellow yelper. Then while waiting for the cashier, I upped my ante to over $60! They have very unique items: a dove bottle opener, a wonderful selection of unusual books, candles, glasses, gag presents, and great cards. My kids love Lundeen's and we've visited many times - but every time we do, my nose starts running like crazy and I'm now walking around in the store with stuff just dripping out my nose in torrents and I don't know what to do. Once I made my son run over to Starbucks to get me some napkins - most of the time I just pick up one of those stuffed animals and wipe away. No, I don't do that. That was a joke. It wasn't until our last visit that I figured out the fragrances were killing my nose.
