This store has a lot of unique trinkets such as greeting cards, kids gifts, candles, beauty care, stationary, and jewelry. I usually come here when I need to get a gift for a baby shower because they have a good selection and they offer free gift wrapping (which is great because my wrapping is terrible). It's a small store but doesn't feel like it's crowded. A bit pricier since they're unique gifts but you can find some inexpensive items too if you really look. Nephew's birthday was around the corner, and I was running out of time and ideas. Randomly walked by Lundeen's one late afternoon, and I was so glad I saw it. The store's descriptions and merch seemed to have what I needed, but it was closed; they close at 6 pm, so if you walk by after standard work hours, they may be closed. I made arrangements to drop by when they were open. When I visited the store during work hours, the employees were wonderful. I told them the age and type of toys I was looking for. They had pretty awesome gifts in mind. I found two books and a whack-a-mole sort of gift. As you can see in the photo, the shop also gift wrapped it for me too. I believe there's a certain price range or item count you need to meet for the gift wrap, but it was a great touch. Nephew loved the books Lundeen's had to offer. One clerk's attitude needs to be improved. She is the whole reason I'm leaving this review. This is my go to place I buy a gift for my family, friends, and some fun stuffs for myself. I always love to go here and am so glad to have this kinda cool place in my town. But today March 12, I went there and the clerk in a black long sleeves and a light blue tee underneath was rude. I understand she might be having a bad day, but she was very dismissive. When you work at a gift shop being helpful and answering questions is a main part of the job. Lots of stuff for little kiddies on the Washington Blvd. side (the store goes through from Wash Blvd to Culver Blvd) -- clothes, toys, blankets, etc. -- and lots of other types of gifts along the walls and on the other side of the store. I went in with an idea for a particular gift and ended up getting something I really liked for a fellow yelper. Then while waiting for the cashier, I upped my ante to over $60! They have very unique items: a dove bottle opener, a wonderful selection of unusual books, candles, glasses, gag presents, and great cards. The woman that wrapped my sister's purchase was really nice and did a great job with the brown paper and colored twine. Once I made my son run over to Starbucks to get me some napkins - most of the time I just pick up one of those stuffed animals and wipe away. No, I don't do that. That was a joke. I love their gift selection varies and would be perfect items for either male or female recipients. Some gifts were a bit pricey but considerable due to their uniqueness. I didn't give it 4 stars because it seems that service is not a priority here. I went on a Saturday, which I would think is a busier day in that area and there seemed to be only one person working and seemed that everything and everyone was in disarray. I get it. I love this store! This is my go-to place for greeting cards. The cards are a bit expensive, but they're all really nice and not mass-produced. There are also lots of interesting gifts--some are elegant and others are silly and quirky, but they all seem well-made and not cheap. I also love that you can find local items on there like things that say Culver City and cookbooks by local restaurant owners. I'm really happy with the new COVID protocols. Both doors are open so that you can get a breeze blowing in, only a few people are allowed in at a time, and you have to wear a mask and use sanitizer (provided) to enter. The owner even sometimes has water and treats outside for dogs, which is very thoughtful. I highly recommend this store if you're in Culver and looking for any cards or gifts. One thing I do want to note, however, is the Yelp hours don't seem to be correct. It looks like the store is not open on Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday--Wednesday through Saturday only, if I remember correctly.
