I want to Love this place...I have been in this store several times bought a few things from, cards, to a ring to baby toys and a purse, but I am done! Never once has anyone here even bothered to pretend that customer service matters to them. I can't tell you how many times I've been in and they don't even bother to acknowledge your presence. I've spent hundreds of dollars here over the last four years. I decide to walk in today and there are three employees chit chatting about the super moon and just me in the whole store. Not once did they bother to say hello, welcome, how can we help you. I walked out ten minutes later and they continued with their conversation without so much as looking up. This is a serious lack of customer service and is pretty alienating to someone who considered themselves a repeat customer. The perfect card and small gift shop. Unique greeting cards for all occasions abound. I stop in before any event that requires a hostess gift because the candle selection regularly contains new, subtle scents with creative containers. The staff is always friendly and ready to beautifully wrap your purchase. Who wouldn't want to take that extra step out of gift giving?! This is a lovely little card and gift shop. I always enjoy browsing through Lundeens, especially after dining at my favorite breakfast spot next door. My only complaints are that they can be awfully pricey and they only offer store credit on returns. I had to return a baby shower gift because I found something more appropriate and was told that I could only receive store credit. The manager mentioned that the policy is printed on the receipt, but if I am receiving a receipt then the transaction had already been made and I can't change my mind. They need to have their policy posted or kindly remind customers that they don't do returns. read more

The most uncomfortable store I literally have ever been to. The old lady was following me around like I was gonna steal something. Next time, at least be more slick about it. I was gonna buy a few things until I realize not only am aren't those women friendly in the slightest inside their small ass store, but their prices are a rip off, if you're an online shopper, you would know exactly what I'm talking about. Such a lovely little store. Most trips to Downtown Culver involve me stopping into Lundeens. It's pretty much the perfect place to your friends a $20-$30 semi-unique birthday gift. I've been in this store a few times, and each time I've been in, I've never gotten so much as a "hello" from the owner or the staff. I will admit they have cute, over-priced things to buy, but these types of stores come a dime a dozen when the staff is that way. I bought a pair of earrings with a cute little bird design on them for $20.00 and they broke a week later. A friend of mine bought a clip to place on the edge of a table to hang your purse on, and that broke as well. Needless to say we won't be coming back here because of the people, and now the poor quality of their merchandise. It's too bad because we work in the area and do a ton of shopping during our lunch breaks, with a lot of our co-workers and we won't be referring this place. read more

Exorbitantly priced and terrible customer service, bordering on rude. When I called, the woman who answered the phone started to say hello, then proceeded to talk into the phone (presumably) to a customer right in front of her (while still holding the phone to her mouth). She didn't say "hold on," in fact, she didn't even say a word. Finally, I was said, "Hello?" She goes, "excuse me I'm talking to a customer..." UH WTF?! Don't freakin answer the phone then!! When I went in, the customer service wasn't much better. Not only that, the selection is just ridiculously overpriced ($15 for a small roll of twine that I could get at a hardware store or other gift store for half). Seriously, don't waste your time. Ever since I moved to Culver City, Lundeen's has been my go-to spot for any kind of gift! They have an amazing selection for adults and their baby books and toys have made me a rockstar at many a baby shower/kid's birthday. The employees are so helpful and nice, I always have a great experience when I'm in there. It isn't great for my wallet, their stock is always turning over, so I never leave empty handed ;-) I tend to follow the one-for-them two-for-me model every time I walk in!! This treasure trove is just absolutely adorable, and quite tasteful. I can spend hours looking at every knick knack and thinking of who to gift them to. Lundeens has become my go to store for every gift giving occasion. In the past two years I have found gifts for my husband, sister-in-law, twenty year old niece, mother, co-workers and more new babies and mamas than you can shake a Sophie giraffe at. The card selection is wonderfully curated, you can find anything from sweet and whimsical to cool and funny to slightly off color. The prices are a little on the high side but they do wrap at no extra charge (beautifully I might add) and give a 10% discount to KCRW members, which more than salves the sting. The only bad thing about this store is that every time I go in to buy a gift I'm tempted to buy something for myself hence, the "You Might Have Touched Your Genitals" hand sanitizer in my purse. read more

i love lundeens! they have the cutest stuff, and there is always new items. the prices are expectant of hip boutiques. hello! they sell jonathon adler stuff. most of their inventory is kitchen/bar items, greeting cards, and kids stuff. street parking only. you can enter the store from Culver or Washingon (next to wildcraft pizza). when parking is tough, sometimes we just use the Bank of the West parking lot on Washington. so far, not parking tickets i wish they were open later on the wkends! read more

As a New Yorker spending a few months in Culver City, I'd been at a loss for where to find all the cute letterpress cards, chic stationary, and fab gift wrap that I usually get at Kate's Paperie. Well, I am no longer at a loss since I stumbled upon Lundeen's. Their card selection is great, lots of letterpress (my favorite), quirky, and unique options for any occasion. They also have cute stationary and office supplies, as well as tons of assorted cute gift-type items. I wish they had more in the way of gift wrap, but their selection of other paper goods is so much better than anything else I've found in Culver City that I'll be back anyways. read more

This place is awesome!! It's really fun to come in here to find a unique gift for a friend or for yourself. :-) And I LOVE their selection of greeting cards. I always find one that's totally offensive and perfect. They seem to get new stuff pretty regularly so there's always something different to find. You can use your KCRW fringe benefit card (15% off), which is nice. Things can get a little pricey...I usually drop about $50 more than I intended to...but it's worth it. I love this store. Anytime I need to find a birthday gift or a little pick me up knick-knack, I can always count on Lundeens having something. Its location is so convenient. Being located adjacent to downtown Culver City makes parking really easy and next to the hustle and bustle of great restaurants/cafes and bars. I love chit chatting with the staff, they're so friendly and there are always new merchandise to peruse through. My boyfriend and I usually catch breakfast at S&W right next door and then I drag him into the store with me for at least 30 min. He doesn't usually mind as he loves the store as well.
