Wow what an excellent experience. I so don't want to go. But intense coughing and rattling in chest…read morewas getting alarming. I made an appointment online and they called and moved me to the front of the line cuz of my symptoms. I was astonished! Because of them, after three nights with almost zero sleep cuz having to be upright in a chair, I'm now almost cough free and the wheezing is way better. I may actually sleep tonight! They did exray, breathing treatment and all the necessary meds to check this mess. Plus helped me w/the GERD that was contributing to it until I can get to my GASTRO later this month. Best Urgent Care experience ever.

Valley Health Urgent Care - Front Royal 65 Riverton Commons…read morePlaza, Front Royal, VA 22630 Urgent care center Stay away. I have no clue why they put "Urgent" in their name; it feels more like a bait-and-switch designed to trap the desperate. There were only four people in the waiting room, yet the indifference there was absolute. They looked me in the eye and ask for my pain level. I told them "Ten', a level of agony that makes every breath a struggle, and they responded with a hollow & scripted "Thank you for your service." It's honestly a sickening irony. I sacrificed my youth and my health fighting in a war that did nothing but fill the coffers of bankers and CEOs, only to come home and wither away in a cold, sterile room while the very system I defended treats my life as a line item on a ledger. Over an hour in & I could hear the nurses outside my door giggling over something, their laughter cutting through the silence of any patients neglect. It was in that moment the realization hit me: Valley Health is just another gear in the same machine. They don't want to heal you; they want to process you. They are part of a predatory system that keeps the wealthy shielded and the rest of us sick, poor, and disposable. I fought for a country that doesn't care if I die in a waiting room, as long as the wheels of industry keep turning. Don't come here expecting care. You are not a patient to them; you are just another service member whose usefulness has expired. I received the following canned response from them: "We appreciate your feedback. When you have a moment, please call 540-536-8122 or email patientexperience@valleyhealthlink.com. Our Patient Experience team would like to hear more about your experience and address your concerns. Thank you." I followed up with an email: My question remains the same: Why is "Urgent"in your name when the definition of the word appears to elude your entire staff? I am not an unreasonable person. I would have climbed onto the MRI machine myself and operated it if it meant ending the agony I was in. Instead, I was left to wallow in a cold room, listening to the casual giggling of your staff outside my door while I sat in level-ten pain. I didn't need a scripted "Thank you for your service"; I needed the basic diagnostic care I am owed as a human being. A quick scan and a referral to the VA would have sufficed. Instead, your facility provided nothing but a reminder of how disposable veterans have become to the corporate healthcare machine. I have reached back out to the Department of Veterans Affairs to formally document this experience. You don't need a phone call to "hear more", you need to fix a culture that prioritizes staff socialization over a patient's excruciating pain. My usefulness to the "system" may have expired in your eyes, but my voice has not.

I have horrible medical anxiety and I loved how the visit went. Wait time wasn't horrible either, it was my first time there, all in all probably an hour but I never go in any urgent care expecting to be seen immediately, personally. As we entered, my husband was told that there would be a 2 to 3 hour wait and that we could get my husband registered and then they would call us when it was his turn. Tim went inside at 1pm when we hadn't heard anything and he was told there were still 6 ahead of him. At 2pm I checked at the registration desk and was told that there were 3 people ahead of him.....at 2:30pm (having waited FIVE HOURS) he went into the facility and inquired as to how much longer it would be and the girl at the front desk responded with an attitude that they only had 2 providers and should be soon. Finally at 2:45pm he was escorted to a treatment room where he waited for 30+ minutes with no one checking on him or telling him anything. He went back to the front desk and asked if he had been forgotten and was all but yelled at that the provider would be in soon. At 3:30pm I entered and inquired at the front desk as to his status and was told that she would check, though the receptionist seemed very miffed that I was asking. I stood there waiting and the girl puttered around, clearly purposely wasting time....another patient entered and asked about the wait....you guessed it, she was told it was 2 to 3 hours....LIES! The girl glared at me and informed me that Tim was "with the provider" and she slammed the slider window closed. In a couple of minutes another lady, who identified herself as "Michelle and I am the owner of this practice" and said "is there a problem?". I explained that we had been told that the wait would be 2 to 3 hours and that we had waited SIX HOURS!....her response was "you can leave if you don't like it." While it is true we could have left, we went to this practice for TREATMENT....and six hours seemed excessive and the attitude and lack of professionalism by the front staff....and even more the owner....was ridiculous! MARY, the nurse practitioner who ultimately treated Tim was awesome....she was the ONLY bright spot in this deplorable facility. I would strongly advise you steer clear of Valley Urgent Care.....the lack of consideration COMMUNICATING if there were going to be delays shows a lack of respect for patients attempting to get care. Interesting that they have this sign posted....perhaps their leadership is the problem!

When we were taken into the exam room, the nurse took my mom's blood pressure, asked some questions, then went to bring the doctor in. We waited 20 plus minutes, then the doctor came in just to say we have to get a referral for X-rays at the diagnostic center ten minutes away, when we were told we could do the X-rays at this place. She told us if we wanted to do it here it would have to be at 2 pm. Then she got very disrespectful and raised her voice a bit and talked down to my mother like she was a child just because she wasn't pleased with the service so far. Very disgraceful behavior from a doctor when my mom was in immense nerve pain. Not only the complicated nonsense of going to an urgent care, paying $50 for co-pay, just to get sent somewhere else, but the horrible disrespect from the doctor. If there's one thing I don't tolerate from a medical practice is disrespect and attitudes instead of patience and empathy. Would not recommend this place at all or even return. The diagnostics center treated my mom so well and so much better. Save yourself some heartache and seek another urgent care.

Lying, rude, mean-spirited, argumentative, and manipulative people there at Valley Health only care about two things anymore and neither are related to improving quality of care ...
