After…read moreI posted my original review on Google earlier today, I received rude, insulting, and shaming messages from the owner Oksana on Instagram, which she since has "unsent" from the Instagram chat. Rather than trying to work with me to resolve the situation, she chose the path of unprofessionalism and shaming. This included Oksana sending a message and the screenshot of my Google review in a group chat with the other students that were in the beginners classes with me. Screenshots on this review include: Part of messages where Oksana refuses to honor the terms of the Groupon I had already purchased (yesterday); Her private messages to me shaming me (today); the terms of the Groupon. Oksana was at the studio at least one of the times I took classes and did not introduce herself to the students. The bathroom was out of toilet paper, out of soap, dirty, and really unkept (pieces of wood in the corners, no door/curtain on the AC unit closet, mop bucket right next to the toilet). I should have seen these as red flags, but I really enjoyed Marina's classes so I expected to continue being a client at the studio. This is the hardest review I have ever had to leave, as I really enjoyed Marina's classes. However, the owner of a business should never treat anyone this way. I hope this review can help avoid others being treated this way. For further clarity, Oksana refused to honor the terms as stated in the Groupon I had paid for. I was not asking for anything except to be given what I had purchased. Screenshot of the listing included in this review was also sent from me to Oksana when we were messaging, and she still refused to honor it. The Groupon I purchased stated that 1 person could purchase it up to 4 times in a 365 day period. There was nothing anywhere (including at the studio) that indicated otherwise. Not honoring the Groupon as I purchased it is unfair to the client and is not proper business practice. Forcing me to choose between getting a refund or giving it to someone else for their use is poor customer service. Original review left on Google- 3 stars (9/23/21): Took beginners classes with Marina: 5/5 stars. Marina was great. She demonstrated routines, gave individualized feedback, tailored to her students, & was encouraging but not pushy. Marina did not make the experience uncomfortable or awkward. Customer service by owner: Poor. I had purchased a second Groupon and recommended for my family to also purchase and go with me. The owner refused to honor the terms that were clearly listed on the Groupon I purchased. I was not asking for any special treatment or for anything that wasn't clearly listed on the Groupon I had paid for. The owner blamed it on Groupon for changing the listing without permission, but refused to make a one-time exception based on the terms of the Groupon I had already purchased. She basically offered me an ultimatum of requesting a refund from Groupon or having a family member use my Groupon. I respect, understand, and support small and local businesses. However, it is unfair to treat the client as if they are in the wrong for something that is beyond their control... Especially when they are supporting and recommending your small business.

I attended a class with a bachelorette party so obviously there was a big group of us. After said class, i purchased a "Drippin' in Finesse" hat that they were selling. I let one of the girls in our party try it on and she inadvertently left it behind instead of handing it to me. When i realized i was missing the hat, we were no longer in the area, and with no means to go back and retrieve it. Distraught, I called Vixen in hopes that they could do anything for me. I was at least hoping to get my money back, as opposed to being out $28 and no hat. By the time i heard from them, we had left Miami all together, so i thought all was lost But on the contrary, they were sorry that i had left the hat and that they could possibly mail it to me if i would be ok with paying for the packaging fee! They could've easily said no to my request, but instead they went to great lengths to send me my beloved hat. Thanks so much vixen! I wish i lived in the area just cuz i feel like i would be treated like part of the family there. You girls are beyond great. Thanks so much for going above and beyond for me! The dance class itself was a major workout. I sweat more during the class than I do running on the treadmill at the gym!! I didn't even try a studio at my new location. Then came the pandemic and she came out with the idea of online classes! I immediately restarted and was so happy to be able to do it. Love to practice at the comfort of my own place without the commuting. The classes online are as great as they used to be in person. Joyce, my instructor is very dedicated and pays attention to every movement we make and correct us accordingly. If I had both choices today, online and in person I would definitely continue to practice online! I'm very grateful for Bobbi's effort to come up with this idea

The owner of the studio helped me locate the studio when I was looking for it. I enjoyed the intimacy of the class as we were less than 10. I really thought my first hot yoga experience was going to be deadly but it was the total opposite. I loved the thorough guidance of poses and words of affirmation. The cool down was my favorite part because you really feel the difference in your body versus when you first walk in. I'm excited to use my remaining credits because i truly admire the benefits of this practice. 10/10 recommend, no complaints

That's how I felt on day one of my visit to Thrive Yoga. At first I was a little confused about the location and the parking and such, but after going just one time I felt at ease with the world. Can't say that about every yoga studio in Miami. After 305 Hot Yoga shut down this past summer I thought I'd never feel that connection again. Allyn's chill vibe and the relaxed garden feel of the place won me over fast. The room is truly hot, the floors are a gorgeous wood, and I even feel safe being there despite my COVID fears. Finally, a word on Allyn, our fearless leader. She's a true, natural born educator who doesn't deal in show-off yoga. With Allyn, it's truly all about your inner journey. What more can I say?

It's inside so you don't have to worry about the weather and parking is free in the garage. They offer different kinds of classes - Zumba, Yoga, Strong by Zumba etc. and it's all free! I've been to the three I just named and loved it. The energy is great and it seems like they only pick excellent teachers! I really hope they're going to keep offering these classes when the Wynwood Yard opens up!
