Elizabeth is a straight up pole scientist, dropping knowledge at every turn and breaking down moves analytically so we can understand the separate pieces that lead to the final flow. You really have to experience her class physically to understand what a talented and intelligent teacher she is but I'm trying to give an idea. There's plenty of repetition and explaining so the moves can really get into your body. So basically if pole was offered as part of a master's program in university Elizabeth would be your professor! I love knowing that I am working out with other woman who are not there to show off but to get in shape while having fun. We laugh, A LOT. Eli, the owner, has the most infectious energy I have encountered in a while. She is go, go, go all the time and always fun and friendly. She is the type of person that you look at and say "I want to be her friend!!!" She lost tons of weight herself, so she knows the struggle. Eli offers tons of different classes: Pole fitness, boot camps, Pole tricks, Zumba, twerking, Kangoo, etc. There is something for everyone. I first learned about Buddhaful Om Yoga when I received an email for their Supermoon event...and I…read moream so grateful for it! The studio is located on 124th street (SW 132 avenue) on the South side of the Costco at London Square. I actually love skateboarding down this street because it is never too busy. There is plenty of parking spaces as well. On my first visit to Buddhaful Om I arrived early to allow time for registration. I was able to chat for a little bit with Liz, the owner, and she is a total sweetheart. She showed me the different rooms upstairs and down. It is a very cute, cozy, inviting space. I have since taken part in two Restorative Yoga classes with her at 9am on Sunday; the perfect time for me. She played her crystal bowls, something that was new to me. The sound helped me to clear my mind. The little cloth she placed over my eyes was gently scented and helped me relax. For an hour we gently moved into different relaxing poses on the floor using bolsters and blocks, taking slow, deep breathes. It is so incredibly relaxing that many times, I almost fall asleep. I love when she covers me with the blanket! Zzzz Restorative Yoga is exactly what I need after a long, stressful week. I always leave feeling at peace and grateful. I take this feeling with me through the rest of my day. I believe that one day I will learn to carry it with me always. It truly is a wonderful feeling. I don't know much about yoga...yet. But I have a feeling I will soon. Liz is always kind enough to explain to us newbies how she plays the different sounds on the bowls (and other instruments) and what the purpose is for each. If you're thinking about going to a yoga class for the first time, I strongly recommend starting with a Restorative class with Liz to get a feel for it all. I'll admit, the lack of mirrors threw me off at first. I'm so used to watching my form that I wasn't sure how I'd manage. Turns out, it didn't matter one bit. If anything, it pushed me to tune inward rather than rely on my reflection. Instructor Sabrina is the real standout. She guided us through variations that looked deceptively simple and left us genuinely sweating by the end. Challenging in the best way. Will absolutely be back.

I've heard that Pilates makes you gain more strength and build muscle which should help my overall shoulder discomfort and it was surprising how this specific class did that as soon as I started the training. The studio is tucked in the base floor of a nice retail building right in the heart of Sunset Place. At first glance, it shines with neatness and coziness as the warm host who registers the checks in greets you as if she were your friend for a lifetime and that positive attitude is what you need when trying to unplug from daily work stress. I was introduced immediately to our instructor, Sabrina Segura, whose charisma was evident since she greeted me and the rest of the participants. I signed up for the 50-minute All-Level Pilates, and glad that I did because it refreshed me on all the basic and not-so-basic movements by covering a complete workout. Also by adding more springs, the tightness made me push for more effort while doing the exercises. Sabrina was so professional from the start, explaining very detail each exercise without losing sight of all of our postures, and at the same time keeping an upbeat pace throughout the complete journey. The complete session felt like therapy, for the first time I didn't think of anything else than trying to make my postures better and align with the instructions. Actually, by the end, I was even encouraged to do more of it. I could have easily lasted around one more hour. Sabrina made it feel so easy and effortless, but at the same time, the after-effect of the exercise felt as if I had lifted weights during an earlier slot. When you experience the dedication of Sabrina to each of her students you will notice how passionate she is about her Pilates practices. The ambiance of the studio is very friendly, and it seems like everyone knows each other, which transmits a family-style environment, which resonates with the overall concept of Pilates in the Grove. The bathroom is available for all students and they have a mini fridge with plenty of water to refresh. Looking forward to trying them again and hopefully under a wonderful instructor like Sabrina.

This studio at Bikram Hot Yoga Miami is hugemongeous compared to others i've been to. The instructors are all very friendly and they all have their own way of conducting the class. Some just stand on the platform and go through the whole routine without ever moving. Others like to move around a bit and call you out by name to make sure you're challenging yourself and doing the pose correctly which is sometimes a bit emabrrassing if you're a regular...but like Nicol S. said there is a good mix of people from beginners to more advanced, really young to very mature, fit and a bit on the heavier side, etc.... I believe they do follow in their cliam that says that this yoga is for everyone! PLUS, they have a very cool special for First-Time locals: unlimited classes for $39!!!! which is outstanding considering this yoga practice is not cheap!!! It's very challenging, and feels like torture every time i do it, but it's so worth the health benefits and you feel so proud of yourself after completing 90 minutes of sweet, hot torture as I like to call it! Be prepared to sweat,,,I mean get drenched due to the heater blasting for 90 minutes straight!!! Love it!

It's definitely a skill that requires lots of practice but even if you just go a few times you will get a full body workout. The levels in the class are mixed which o liked because there were newbies like me who were lost and tired and trying it best to look pretty. And there were the pros that have been practicing for a while that demonstrated amazing tricks with grace and skill and made it look easy. Gives you something to look forward to as far as commitment. I got an amazing deal to Groupon and I'm looking forward to continue to take classes here and there to mix up my workout routine.

I had purchased a living social deal for a month long aerial. During Hurricane Irma, the studio was closed for two weeks, due to lack of power. I had about two weeks left and when I had text the owner to ask if they would honor at least one week of what was left and his response was a flat no. Then they proceeded to ask me, via text mind you, if I had to pay my bills during the hurricane, because they did and that is why they couldn't honor the time I was missing. Now I had also purchased a voucher for a friend as a gift, which she used months after the fact. I wanted to go join her for a class, which I then paid out of pocket. She got sick so that day I canceled via the Mindbody app. I had called two hours before the class to see if I could apply the credit towards another class and no one answered the phone. When I was finally able to get a hold of someone, the owner, it was after the class and he rudely informed that I was not allowed a refund since I had canceled less than six hours prior. Had I known I wouldn't have gotten and refund and had they answered the phone when I initially called twice, I would have gone to the class without my friend. He then proceeded to tell me that it was not his fault that I was irresponsible. I told him I would gladly pay a fee for canceling within six hours, but would like to have part of what I paid honored and yet again he proceeded with the fact that the rent needs to be paid and that it was not his problem. I had told him that I was trying to refer business, but seeing the two experiences with him, that I would no longer be doing so. My friend also had another bad experience with the owner, Manny. Overall, the level of unprofessionalism and lack of customer service has made me update this review to the one star you see. This does not reflect the instructor, Scarlett, who was extremely nice, but the owner, Manny is killing his own business with being the way that he is. I will never go back, nor will I ever recommend anyone to this place. What an amazing workout! Ladies and gents, if you're looking for a unique way to workout or just incorporate something new into your regular routine, then this is a great option! I came across this studio on Groupon, which offers unlimited aerial silk classes for a month for $40.00 (totally worth it). Now the studio isn't very big, but they can accommodate up to ten people per class. Our instructor, Scarlette was great! She took her time to warm us up and to explain everything we were doing. We ended up doing 3 stretched and about 4 other poses. Now it will kick your butt since you are fully using your body weight and full body power to do all of this, but you will feel great once you're done. It's definitely a full body work out. They do offer other types of classes and you can check them out on their website. I'll definitely be using my Groupon to the fullest :)
