I really hate to leave bad reviews because I know this is someone's livelihood BUT if this can help someone else... Went in for a new volume set. While I didn't like the lashes we used (all one length and wayyyyyyy too many. It looked like a caterpillar on my eye.), I wouldn't rate on that. That can be easily changed on the next visit. What I am rating on is technique. The lashes were so close to the lash line it was painful. Every time I blinked I felt it. When I squinted it was even worse. Thanh is absolutely THE BEST! My sisters and I have gotten our lashes done by her twice now and the results are amazing and consistent. We've gotten our lashes done by 2 other lash techicians in the Bay Area and the quality was not the same. Thanh is attentive -- she actually listens to what you want vs other lash technicians who you can tell didn't even take your feedback/inspirational pictures into consideration. Her studio is clean and relaxing which helps make the 2 hours fly by! We always leave feeling satisfied with her work vs with the other lash technicians, we'd be anxious worrying about the results matching what we envisioned for our lashes. LASH LOVERS --this is the place to be! This is a long overdue review. I first contacted Thanh, the owner of Lush Eye Bar, early this year because I was desperate for a relash (originally applied from a different salon). She was honest and advised me that a removal would be required and application of the extensions would not be the same day to allow the glue to take on its full effect. I confirmed my appointment and I've NEVER had such a professional experience! Thanh is AMAZING! She takes pride in her work and is very much a perfectionist when it comes to your lashes (and brows, too but I'll get to that next). She explained to me the aesthetics and health of my natural lashes. Since I've been seeing her regularly, my extensions are a lot fuller now because of my own natural lashes being healthier than ever. She recommends not only what looks right but also the length in which your natural lashes will hold without compromising its health and not to mention, your vision! Her boutique is well kept and clean. Her equipment are sterile and she doesn't hesitate to show you prior to its use. Now for the brows... I didn't realize she did brows, too until I read her certifications on her wall. She shaped my brows and listened to what I wanted before finalizing the shape. The end result was pure perfection. My prior tattooed brows had faded and had a reddish tint to it. Thanh reshaped them, made them fuller and I was elated! Maybe it's my high pain tolerance but the method in which she uses the numbing agent is phenomenal because I literally felt NO PAIN. It has been only a week and I'm anxiously awaiting for my return for my touch-up as it has healed just as she had explained it to be at this stage. I was introduced to Thanh through a friend because I needed a fill badly. What I respect about Thanh is that she was and is very honest. I sent her a picture of my lashes at the time and she advised to remove and do a new set but advised not to do it the same day because the retention of the new lash set would not last long. I greatly appreciated her honesty. Thanh continues to do my lashes for over a year now and I would recommend her to anyone. She is very honest, plays great podcasts and does an excellent job on my lashes every time. First I tried the Classic lash style, but I got hooked, and Thanh recommended the Natural Volume, which are perfect for my style. Thanh makes me look made-up without looking too made-up! Thanh is fantastic!! She deserves way more than five stars on yelp. She's very clean, meticulous, and really gives you her time. I had my brows done by her (I chose the ombre option). She made sure I went home with an aftercare kit (saline, wipes, and instructions). Thanh explained every step of the way while she worked on my brows. She made sure the numbing cream was working too by making sure I was doing okay. For me, the process pain level was a good 4/10 (10 being the highest and 1 being the lowest). The procedure took about three hours and I am extremely happy with the results. My brows look full, fierce, and thicc af. She told me that the color WILL fade ~20-40% (everyone's different) but that's totally fine with me because no one has ever shaped it the way Thanh shaped my brows. She made my brows pop and I cannot thank her enough. I truly appreciate the time and effort she's put into my brows. Thanh is AWESOME!! I have been researching and watching every youtube video to prepare me to for this experience and I must say my experience at Lush Eye Bar was great. I had the combo done to my brows, which included both the microblading and powder techniques. The first thing I did was complete a consent form, after that, we picked out the shade that will be used on my brows. Thanh will then work with you until you get the shape of brows you are happy with. We moved onto the table, she numbed my brow and shortly after she got to work! She talked me through the whole process and made sure I was comfortable. Thanh is so down to earth and professional at the same time. I felt like I was talking to one of my girlfriends. She is so patient and kind and showed me how my brows were coming along. Be honest and tell her how you feel about the brows and she will accommodate you the best she can. I am happy with how they turned out and will be back in 4-6 weeks for a touch up. There is a lot of metered parking but it's best to find parking a couple of blocks away where there are no time limits. It will take 2-3 hours so I don't recommend parking at a meter because most likely, you will not be able to run out and feed it. read more

Thanh is amazing! She is very passionate and knowledgeable about the process and her business. She is extremely caring and personable, you totally see it right when you meet her. I've gone to her twice, I liked my lashes the first time. This second time, I'm in love - I didn't think she can out do herself, but she did! It was exactly want I wanted. Thanh's style is natural, but she will do what she can to really make your lashes what you want. She definitely takes care of her clients! You know you've got a great esthetician when one of the recurring questions to you as a patient in an ER room is, "who did your lashes?!" Truthfully, I'm a pretty low-maintenance kind of girl (some would even consider me on the Tom-boyish side) but Thanh did and does a very good job at making me look like I care about my face. She's really considerate, friendly, and definitely goes the extra mile to ensure all of her clients leave happy. And what's even more impressive about her is that she did what most people fear: she hung up her high-end designer suits and quit her corporate level job in San Francisco all to follow her true passion by starting up her own business right here in the East Bay (where we've been needing a quality lash bar at reasonable prices). Now, onto the eyelashes and my experience... I asked Thanh to give me something that would enhance my beauty while still keeping it look as natural as possible (I didn't want to explain why I would have Vegas-like eyelids to my coworkers everyday from my office cubicle, haha) and she produced exactly what I had in mind! I have very short/fine eyelashes; she's able to give me lashes that look natural, but long and full enough to replace eyeliner/mascara. Thanh is also very friendly and clearly loves what she does.
